Good evening! I love the stance of your truck! could you share what your wheel size and backspace is? Tire size? And wanted to be sure which lowering kit you used? Thanks!!
Great looking truck I like square body better than any truck out there they're super easy to fix and they're really easy to make show winning trucks out of been restoring 1082 Chevy long bed myself they are such fun trucks to drive and to restore if I had a little extra cash on me I probably would be asking how much you want for it Square bodies are King in my book I love both long beds and shorts great video and I hope you have fun.
I’ve started watching your show recently after I got out of the hospital I was in there for 2 months. Love the show and you have some pretty kool stuff the little green nova was the first one I saw and then this one with the black truck love your show
Yeah I think he has the best show on the tube. I was in a bad accident broke my neck and back in 4 places and both shoulders my wrist and fingers and all my ribs on one side and now I am waiting for surgery. But with this pandemic and so on they said they’re put me in a body brace and all I can do is watch TV but I love this guys show. Sorry that I am saying all this. But hey Tim let everyone know oh your TH-cam channel sometime. Basically in your area or anywhere not too text an drive a young teenage girl was driving and she was texting and instead of hitting her and killing her I rolled my truck keep up the good work sir
Hi , I like your truck , it's really nice . I wanted to ask you what size rims and tires you have on your truck? Thank you , , I would really appreciate it . Great job on your truck Man ...
This truck most likely has a EST box behind the glove box insert. There are four wires coming from that box to the back side of the Dist.Remove the wires and replace the 5 pin module in that dist.with a 4 pin and you will a much better running truck,,I hope this helps some folks ,somebody told me about the change, thought I would pass it along
I have a black shortbed that I have always wanted to 2 tone but can't decide on grey, silver, or red through the center? Also, would a wrap work for a quick way just on the center? We have cats in the garage, and I was wondering if they scratched the wrap jumping up on the truck would it start peeling?
That truck doesn't even look like same truck. I like the drop on it now! You can do miracles! I hope that you will keep it. But I know that it will not happen! Lol. Proud of you buddy!
I don’t recall, I sold that truck a while back but check out primered is best. He just done a video a little while back on a truck he called ruby. They’re the same size that was on this truck
What brand and where did the lowering kit come from that you used? I like the stance and really don't want to notch the frame if I can help it. Thanks...
That one is a spindle source kit off eBay. I suggest getting the kit without shocks and just ordering some good ones and go ahead and get some shock re-locators
@@gmtim3840 I am getting 2 1/2 inch drop spindles and 2 inch drop coils on my 75 c10. I do not know what size shock I need do I get 2 inch drop shock or 4-5 inch drop shock.
I don’t know to be honest with you. I’ve never ran rallies but I would be afraid they would probably hit on the front fenders. I have seen some trucks lowered like this with rallies and haven’t noticed and cut marks on the tires though
Hi, just Subbed ya. Excellent work on your truck. I have a long bed one in that year and mine will be cousins to yours. But YES! NO INNER FENDER IS MORONIC, THEY LOOK TERRIBLE. My friend just got one and it has 5/7, wide tires that rub and they took out the smog pump for a couple of horses more--pointless!! The prior owners were ground apes! Do some how to’s as you are doing it the changes and list the products u use. Thank you for sharing.
I’m kit exactly sure what you mean, haven’t had this particular truck in many years but I always run a shock extender on the rear with a factory shock and the original shock on the front with no extender. They usually ride and drive very good. The lowering shocks have never worked well for me.
Not to good but as usual but since I’ve GM done this particular truck, I’ve discovered that Using stock shocks instead of drop shocks make them rude so much better. Extenders in the rear and just stock placement in the front
eBay but you can just order a rear flip kit, 2 inch drop spindles And 2 inch springs but I usually go with 3 inch spindkes and 2 inch springs on the front now. Gives it a little bit if a rake
The rear were 20x10 and fronts were 20x8. I do not know the off set but if you have Facebook, look up Ronnie Tyler. He lives in madisonville tn. That’s who I usually buy all my wheels from, he should be able to tell you,
My wife grew up in a sub division with money, new vehicles every year, red is her favorite color. She’s finally came around to liking these older tricks and cars lol
Just found your channel enjoying the long bed trucks getting some attention. They all look good.
Thank you sir
SHORT BEDS ARE PARTS TRUCKS

His wife said Red
If the wife said red , it better be red, happy wife happy life , right, and leave your balls at the front door

I needed this video.. im in between both kit sizes 🙄🙄
Love these videos , I hope your still making them
Wow! What a difference. Lookin good my friend.
Yeah I hear ya I am the same way my wife says why you get so many trucks and cars and then you get rid of them. She said she can’t keep up with me lol
What wheels and size? Tires?
Good looking truck ! Do you remember what size tires were front & rear ?
I do not but same size I always run. I’ll check one I have tomorrow

I usually just replace the distributor with a new one, most are about worn out anyways but I will keep that in mind. I appreciate the info!
Did u sell the truck? And what was the lowering kit you used?
did it sell at the rod run, im about to take a truck up there in Sept that's that ones twin! and what'd you get?
What's the wheel and tire setup that beauty

I honestly have no idea on the wrap but go forward it, can always just pull it back off
Really like how it looks. Great job
I like it.... In the beginning of the video what height does sit at
This truck had a 4/6 drop
How many inches I have to cut the bed to make it short bed the bed not the frame thanks

Primered is best the wheels and lowering kits really help them for sure. Might need your help to finish painting this thing with my time crunch lol
@@gmtim3840 Be happy to help you buddy! Anytime!

Do you think factory rally 15” wheels will clear with the spring/spindle combo?
I don’t know to be honest with you. I’ve never ran rallies but I would be afraid they would probably hit on the front fenders. I have seen some trucks lowered like this with rallies and haven’t noticed and cut marks on the tires though
I always thought 4/6 sat too high in the front. 5/6 would be ideal for me.

What wheels do you use, I have a 87 with drop, those look like torque thrusts 1 or 2..?
2 I believe. 20x8 front and 20x10 rear
How wide of a tire you think you could get away w
Is this truck a long bed?
Yes

Man looks good! Nice job
where do you get your suspension parts from ?
That thing is sweet!

What is the asking price for this truck
David Dixon not exactly sure just yet. Once it’s done I’ll add up where I’m at and let you know
GM Tim38 Thank You
Subbed but ill be lookin for that paint job. 👀👀
How did it ride and drive after the 4-6 drop
Not to good but as usual but since I’ve GM done this particular truck, I’ve discovered that Using stock shocks instead of drop shocks make them rude so much better. Extenders in the rear and just stock placement in the front
Can u send me link for the kit you used..
It’s a spindle source kit on eBay. Just type in 73-87 c10 lowering kit. That truck was 4/6
Looks good 😊
Very very nice 👌 job
how much backing on your wheel
Not sure on back spacing. Bought as a combo. 20x10 on rear. 20x8 on the front
Do u prefer a c notch for the 4/6 drop?
Yes most definitely
Is the truck rust free underneath
Yes it is. I sold it to a friend when I finished it and I believe it went to Texas
Where did get the 4/6 drop kit
eBay but you can just order a rear flip kit, 2 inch drop spindles And 2 inch springs but I usually go with 3 inch spindkes and 2 inch springs on the front now. Gives it a little bit if a rake
Can you run one of these kits on a k10
What kind of lowering kit u use
Usually spindle source
They’re on eBay
wish you lived near me I could use your help,,
What size tires are you running on your 20” rims
I can’t remember right off the top of my head. I actually sold this truck, I will try to find something though and let you lmow
Yes i want to know what size tiee as well please
#i meant tire
How much were you trying to sell it for?
I believe I got somewhere around 7 out if that truck after it was done. Of course that was a little over two years ago I believe.
What shocks did u go with??
I went with drop shocks on that truck but I’ve since used stock shocks and they work much better, re-locators on the rear but not on the front
I like the satin black
What rims are dose
pretty bad ass!
You know for the longest time i didnt like long beds but they are starting to grab my attention you gotta looker there
This was one of the best trucks you had shouldn’t have gotten rid of it
I’ve had a bunch of them, missed out on doing videos on a lot of them. It was a good truck but oh well, the fun was over lol
So can anyone tell me what exactly the 4/6 drop consists of?
Drop spindles, springs and a rear flip kit.
Are those 18s or 20s?
20x10 and 20x8
What rims are those and there specs?
20x8 front 20x10 rear 4.5 and 5.75 backspacing. 245/40/20 front 275/40/20 rear. I actually like a 275/45/20 Bettee on the rear
Hey Sir I need a sport bumper
Wondering what were your wheel specs?
The rear were 20x10 and fronts were 20x8. I do not know the off set but if you have Facebook, look up Ronnie Tyler. He lives in madisonville tn. That’s who I usually buy all my wheels from, he should be able to tell you,

I'd keep it just like it is
M a might end up doing just that
Your wife only like square bodies if they are red?! Dude that makes as little sense as anything ive ever heard! Lmao!
