@@aidanhardingbradburn3225 Awesome. I just dug through everything Black Angels had on spotify and couldn't find that one. I'll have to give Alex's lev sessions a shot. Probably should just run through the whole Levitation series. All the ones I've heard are great.

I remember when I heard them in my dad's car here in Argentina. The radio randomly played "don't play with guns". I was lucky enough to make out the name of the song thanks to Shazam. I followed them ever since and when I had the chance to be in the US, they didn't play live to my misfortune :(
Anyway, I am really glad they made it here and I am loving this channel! I have recently discovered a Turkish band thanks to these live sessions!

I love this stripped down version of Manipulation. The two right handed guys are playing left handed guitars, and the left handed dude is playing a right handed guitar! That’s the Angels!! FIREFLY is out of this world. Can’t wait to see them again

Saw these guys at the Grey Eagle in Asheville, NC. July 4, 2008. Tiny club. My head basically in the speakers. Completely blown away.

Interesting that the two guitarists are lefties ( one keeps the strings order) and the bass player uses a lefty bass - without swapping the string order! And the drummer has no cymbals? Musically monotonous groove with uninteresting melodies. Vocals hiding in a bathroom.
You can definitely hear the Velvet Underground influence in Manipulation.
Damn, haven't seen their live shows since 2016. They look so much older...

One of the greatest bands of all time. They literally put out more better music than Sabbath, Priest, and Monster Magnet. Love all of them, but The Black Angels is relentless. Album-After-Album is the best music I've heard in my 60 years.

I WAS THERE! It was my first time seeing them live and they killed it! They even played some new songs, I'm so stoaked for their next album. I even snagged one of their new t-shirts. Absolutely love it. ❤

Ok, there's two lefties in band but why on earth is the right handed bassist playing leftie bass upside down. That's just plain weird, haha.
@@sakusaaristo191 Jake and Christian are lefties but only Jake plays bass. Alex and Ramiro are righties and they all switch up the instruments. This was a morning gig so they didn't want to haul all their gear for a few songs. When they perform live they all play their own instruments.
@@ML-nj4qi your statement is not entirely true. All members, with the exception of the drummer, take turns playing bass.
@@SonicRave1 I've seen the Black Angels live probably 10 times over that last decade or so and I have never seen Christian play bass.
@@ML-nj4qi watch their rig rundown he talks about playing bass on a single song. But you made it sound like only Jake plays bass and that’s not true!
