Is it a micro aggression when black people say you're "acting white" when you are articulate and well spoken? That has been my experience as a black man who speaks english well.
yes but no one tells ben shapiro "hes so well spoken" as if its surprising. Saying it implies that its somehow unexpected that you ARE well spoken. But i agree with your sentiment and point. Id never call it a slight or prejudice. i dont like the term "micro aggression" but i still feel some type of way when people tell me that i speak well.
I feel that it is less a reflection on your friends or their perception of you but rather how pervasive the lack of articulation and linguistic prowess is in the black community that by all standards you are most definitely an outlier which isn’t a negative but something to be proud of
How often do people compliment white people for how well-spoken or articulate they are. I have never been affirmed for being articulate. That may be because I am not. But I am thinking there is something there. Why say that a person is articulate? Why don't they just interact with the content of what they say?

People nowadays including myself are just not well spoken I’m glad you can see it has nothing to do with race

This guy is so well spoken!
Microaggression = Really looking hard to find a way to be offended.
But seriously you’re well spoken, not by some racist stereotypical black standard but by any human standard you are well spoken, that’s cool
