    Wish I saw this before assembling mine... similar experience. I was quick to install them, didn't properly read the instructions. Was unaware of the small set screws, realized the bolts had to be tighten afterwards once I found them. I also put the arms on before realizing adjusting the trolley would have been much easier with them off!! I also had drama with the handles. I received 2 x right handles, packing slip and boxes were right - what was in the box wasn't... Team Rouge sent me a replacement immediately!

    Thanks for posting this, but I'm still wondering about the handles and how they attach. I noticed what I think is a big brass bearing on the handle side of the arms. Would it be possible to trim down the longer arms if I purchased them, but prefferred the shorter ones?

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The large bronze bushing is for any potential releases that may come out. The monster line already has a handle that goes into them but nothing for the Monster Lite series as of the time I post this reply (29 Jan 21) I imagine you could easily shorten them if you have access to a good metal cutting saw but you would lose out on the bushing.
      The normal handles attach using a welded on 5/8” pin and a hitch pin.

    Thanks for your content. Literally had the video up the entire time I was installing my lever arms. Question for you, I am finding I need to balance some side by side play to have fluidity in movement of the trolley up/down the rack. Is this normal? And which one is preferable to have more of? A bit of side to side motion or more difficult to move up/down trolley? Last question, are the rollers supposed to roll on the rack? Even when I loosen the set screws so movement is more fluid it seems like they are sliding down as opposed to rolling. Thank you!!

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. That okay is normal
      2. I preferred a little side to side but not too much. It’ll come down to preference but when adjusting you want the sides clamped down enough to just barely give resistance up and down
      3 the rollers are supposed to roll. Try loosening the roller bolts and then adjusting the Allen screws that adjust the front to back

    Can you use them without loading the hitch pin on one of the side holes? Will the rear push pin hold only?

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that the rear push pin would hold twice but I would use caution to make sure it is fully seated. Safety items are often not required, but the non-use of safety items makes things inherently more dangerous.

    Hey Rogue, how about getting your act together
    when fulfilling an order.
    The following issues were wrong with the order: missing spacer plate, missing
    knurled knob, and sticking trigger on one of the trolleys.
    After contacting Rogue they sent out a replacement trolley and two working knobs
    - took approximately 4 weeks.
    So I get the trolley today (2/19) and when I go to put everything together it
    turns out Rogue sent me the WRONG lever arms - I was sent the trolley arms for
    a LITE trolley system even though I ordered the MONSTER trolley system.
    I did not realize it until now because I did not have the knurled knobs to
    attach handles to lever arms. I would never have thought that I would get the
    WRONG lever arms from Rogue.
    So now I am dealing with this. Amazing that Rogue would gotten the order this
    wrong. They are charging premium prices but not delivering on the goods.

    Can the 35” Trolley arms work on A monster RM-3 24” depth not bolted down.

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will work but I would be nervous about the stability of the rack. I recommend bolting down at least one lag per foot plate. The outside lag hole typically doesn’t involve having to mark abs then move the rack to drill

  • @chudnificent
    @chudnificent 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do your rollers actually roll when you slide the trolley? I've been experimenting with various tightening of the side bolts and the set screws on the back and can't really get a good roll. I was able to get rid of any "slop" by tightening the set screws quite a bit. But I'm not sure if that is what's killing an easier rolling movement vs the rollers just sliding along the upright. Do you know what I might be doing wrong?

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I originally had taken out all the slop but found that caused difficulty adjusting them up and down. You just need a little “slop” to make adjusting the trolley a little easier. I have just a small amount of slop on mine and it moves freely and is easy to adjust.

    • @chudnificent
      @chudnificent 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheKurtlocker awesome, thanks for the quick response! Did you find you reached a good balance then by loosening those back set screws, the roller bolts themselves or a combo of the two? Did you find the front (arm side) roller bolts made any difference? It seems if you start to loosen those, the arm itself starts to get a bit wobbly.

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a combination. There is some side to side movement but the ease in adjustability easily justify the slop. Just a bit, not a bunch

    Anyone know if you can attach monolifts to the arms? I have monolifts for my bench bar which I love to use.. curious if I can just put that on the arms of the trolley (which I am installing now) instead of adjusting the trolley (and arms) down to the floor to get them out of the way to use the monolifts.

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see no major issue with this. There likely won’t be any structural issues from the trolley arms perspective. Be sure to utilize the safety pins along with the pop pins. As for function, the trolley arms move as well as the mono lift arms. Having two separate pieces that move may cause some slight drama but nothing too serious because the mono lifts typically weights bough that they should hold the trolley arms fairly secure against the uprights of your rack. Hope this helps. If you video it on IG, tag me so I can repost the combo

      @@TheKurtlocker Good to know. I had one nut missing from my kit.. so went to the store to get one. Finally putting it together.. the Monster version doesn't have the adjustable rollers like yours does in the back. So.. I hope the little bit of play I see in mine even with the pin in place is normal. It's not much. The other thing I am not sure of.. I put the arms in.. and screwed the hex bolts down pretty tight. My arms do NOT free fall with no weight on them. I cant tell if that's because I tightened the roller nuts too tight.. or the two hex bolts that hold the arm pin in place.. not sure if it's a big deal or not because I am sure once I add weight it will work fine. Or if being brand new they just have to have some silicon spray put on the bolts and will loosen up.

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I encountered the same issue when I first received mine. I tightened the sides down too much. Although it does slightly increase side-to-side wobble, the ability to freely adjust up and down makes loosening those bolts slightly totally worth it.

    Hi bud. Just a quick question or 2.
    Having this attachment yourself. How would this compare to say a seated press, chest/shoulder’s, with an adjustable bench in place.
    Reason for asking. It would save not just on cost, but room saving too instead of purchasing individual machines. Example: seated chest/incline/ shoulder machine.
    Also same goes for seated machine rows.
    Would this attachment replace with good effect.
    Input appreciated 👍

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      My opinion is that it would be excellent for those movements. The big limiting factor is getting the arms into the starting position that you want them in to begin the lift. I have had success using SAML-24 spotter arms, but it can be a pain to setup.

    • @TheKurtlocker

      At first the arms are heavy while you get the rollers right. It’s a delicate balance getting them right so that it doesn’t make the arms feel heavy, but not so loose that they have a ton of slop. It took me a lot of adjustments.

      There is still a fair amount of wiggle side to side, but it is less than the Sorinex Jammer Arms. The trolley inherently will have a little wiggle.
