    Please how many kg luggage is allowed

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It varies from airline to airline and ticket class. If you buy Economy, it'll be smaller than someone else who bought business class in the same airline. And even some airlines economy is different from other airlines economy. For example, air peace gives 15kg standard, max air gives 20kg, dana air gives 23kg. The idea is to check your ticket that came in your email, your free baggage allowance in KG will be CLEARLY specified there to avoid confusion. Please let me know if you still have a hard time finding it, I'll be glad to help you.

      I’ll be going with an infant, is the kg applied to both of us and can I use my international passport as means of id?

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you're going with an infant, they'll get their own baggage allowance, usually about 10kg. It'll also be specified on the ticket. Be sure to book them together with your own at once as you cannot book an infant ticket separately and must have an adult traveling. This means you cannot book your own ticket separately and book for your infant, you MUST book it together. As for means of ID, anything that has your name as specified on the ticket and a picture of you can and will be used. So yes, your passport, School ID that has a picture, work ID card, NIN can work so long as it has your name and picture on it. I hope this helps.

    Thank you for this detailed video. Please for fly aero,are there window seat A and F or A and D

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depending on the aircraft AERO is operating, A is always a window seat.
      However, D may either be a window or aisle seat.
      The easiest way to know window from aisle is to always choose the first and last seats in a row.
      So if it's ABCD, A and D are window.
      If it's ABCDEF, A and F are window
      If it's ABCDEFGHJK, A and K are window seats

    Please, the date of birth on my NIN is not correct which I’m yet to rectify. In booking my flight, should I input my original date of birth or I should just go with the one on my NIN? it’s my first time traveling this week and I don’t want mistakes.

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Your NIN slip typically does not show the Date of Birth unless you have the digital ID. However, use whatever is on the NIN, pending when the error is correct. If travelling with your passport, use what is on the passport, if travelling with a voters card, use what is there. Names, dates of birth. Until a correction is made, use what is there like that. Because that's what they'll use to check.I hope this helps.

      So seats A are window.
      If the last seat number is F, then its window.
      If it ends in D, then it's window.

    • @TravellingNigerian

      Yes, the confirmation email is your ticket. Its called an electronic ticket (e-ticket) so its enough for the check in area.

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You can either print it out or show on your device. For domestic flights, showing is enough. For international flights, I recommend printing as you'll be requested to show it a lot of times, more than once. So having a paper print out helps. As for the terminal question, its not very clear, do you mean France as a country or Airfrance, the airline?

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Dana delays flights by maybe 1 hour. My advice: if it's the cheapest, book it. Remember that if your flight gets delayed or canceled, you can always choose a new date FREE of charge without paying an extra dime just by calling the airline and choosing the new date you want. So if cost is a problem, choose the cheapest and book it. I hope this helps.

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, that is accurate. So far both of them sum up to 8kg, you're good. In some cases, if you pack your laptop inside the same carryon, instead of a separate laptop bag, you may be allowed to board with more than the 8kg allocated.

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much for subscribing, it means a lot. You're allowed a small handbag or purse in addition to your carryon depending on the airline. If the frame isn't too large, they will allow it but be advised this varies from airline to airline. If you have free checked baggage allowance, you may check the small luggage and carry the frame alone. Either way, I will suggest you get to the airport 2 hours before your flight and explain to the check in agents. They will advise you better on what is allowed and they will definitely help you out. I hope this helps.

    Please if you want to do an in person boarding how many hours should one be in the airport before the flight time.

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's recommended to be at the airport at least 1 hour and half before domestic departures.
      This is to make sure you complete check in before the counter closes.
      Some airlines close the airport counter 45 minutes before departure.
      And some close 30 minutes before, depending on the airline.
      If you arrive 1 and half hour before, that gives you 45 minutes to check in without rushing.
      So calculate the distance from your location to the airport and aim to arrive 1hr 30 mins before.
      This will let you know a rough estimate of when to leave for the airport.
      For international departures, 3 hours is the absolute best because there's a lot to check in terms of visas, passports, vaccinations and all.
      I hope this helps.
      Feel free to ask more questions if you have any.
      I'd be glad to answer.

    I won a flight ticket from air peace airline to fly to any of their local destinations... How do I go about it?.

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, first, you need to redeem the ticket. You can do this by messaging them on the same social media account used to win the ticket after you've decided on a date and route. Message them on IG if you won the ticket on Instagram and vice versa. Alternatively, you can email or call their customer service Centre and this contact information can be found on flyairpeace.com. Be sure to spell out your name accurately. After the ticket is issued, pack your bags, and get ready for your flight, just exactly how I did in this video. I hope you found this helpful. Please ask any other questions you may have. I'm happy to help!.

    Pls if you bought your ticket online how do you get your receipt and boarding pass for other airline

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi there Chioma, If you buy your ticket online, you'll get an email showing that your flight has been confirmed.
      The email will contain your 6 digit booking reference and your names.
      It's called an e ticket and shows proof of business with the airline.
      For check in, you'll need to go back to the same airline website and look for a tab that says "check in"
      If it's there, tap it.
      If a dedicated "check in tab" isn't there, select "manage my booking"
      Put in the same 6 digit booking reference and surname
      And select check in.
      You'll also get an email with your boarding pass and you can download it from there too.
      Just click on "print" then save as PDF, and voila, you have your boarding pass.
      Let me know if you have any more questions.
      I'm happy to help!.😊

    Is it possible not to see seat number on flight details?

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, seats are not automatically allocated during the booking process, you have to select it.
      So if you select seats during booking, you'll see it in flight details, if you didn't, you won't see it. Some airlines like green africa will tell you to select seat before paying. Others like airpeace and max air, you have to finish paying for the ticket before you can select seats through "manage my booking". If you're flying soon, let me know what airline you're flying so I'll tell you exactly how to navigate this. Thank you.

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also, some airlines won't let you select seats until few hours during check in. Overland Airways falls into this category. So it's about knowing which airline and how it works.
      It's not complex!. Cheers!.

Your ticket will open and you'll see "select seat" clearly written. Tap it, select your seat, seats at the left and right ends are window seats. A & D, on some aircraft, A and F. • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The luggage I carried was my carryon but if you see at the boarding gate, they collected it because it was too big for the aircraft as it's a small aircraft we were flying. So if your carryon is small enough like a backpack, they'll let it on the plane. If it's too large, they'll take it at the boarding gate and check it like at the counter but it will be free.

    • @TravellingNigerian

      Yes, apparently, the Note 7/8 series had a battery batch defect which led to world wide explosions of the device type.
      The devices had to be recalled pending when the battery explosion issue was fixed.
      Most airlines banned it.
      Airline bodies issues a directory.
      It was a big deal then.
      Years back.
      The issue has since been resolved but some airlines haven't updated their information.
      Or just prefer to leave it there.
      The rest copy and paste.

      4:45 those bags you’re allowed to bring on board the airplane, are they apart of checked luggage? And is it safe to have ny devices in my pocket?
      7:24 and about the boarding passes is it a requirement to this before you arrive for all airlines? I’m using air peace.

    • @TravellingNigerian
      @TravellingNigerian  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Usually, youll take 2 bags to the airport, hand and checked luggage. The bags you bring yourself onto the aircraft is hand luggage, the one they'll take at the counter is the checked luggage and should weigh more. So since you're flying airpeace, your hand luggage should be smaller, like a backpack and should follow the liquid restrictions mentioned in the video. For checked luggage, this is where you can bring the bigger travel luggage. For your devices, they should either be in your pocket or in your hand luggage. Basically, anything electronic should go with you onto the aircraft, it should not be dropped at the counter for check in. For the boarding pass, for airpeace, it's not compulsory to check in online and you won't be penalized. you can get one at the counter when you arrive. However, be sure to select your seats after purchase so you can get a window or aisle seat. You don't need to wait till checkin to select a seat on airpeace. If any part isn't clear enough, ask, I'm happy to explain again. Let me know how your first flight goes. I'm excited to hear from you.
