There are not a lot of photos on the updated Esstac A1 split rig. Would you do a "tabletop" with better lighting? Biggest question is... are the 556 kywi's attached via velcro where you can swap to 762 or go slick, or hard sewn in?
Ive been eyeing this chest rig theres a suprisingly small amount of info out there on it, looks similar to a crye airlite in the straps so lightweight and can move with your body well but as you showed in this vid can really be packed up!
A question, if I want to use it without the inserts of the face towards the body, are rigid or soft to be able to use them without them? is that I want to put some Velcro Mag Pouch
@jerrybooher69 There is a good bit of adjustment there for a variety of body sizes. I was able to adjust it to go over a thicker jacket and armor so you should be good. It's also pretty easy to work up your own strap if you need something different.
It can be a little tricky to hit the deck with it. I'm still looking for packs that fit the bill without being to "milspec" so I can use them day to day as well. It sucks though because I actually really like the frame and setup on the Terraframe

Respect brother, glad to see you are back
Slip rigs are top tier
Pro tip: if you buy the 7.62 version you can still run 5.56 mags if needed.
Been doing this with their 7.62 inserts for years. Good information 👍
Thanks for the info!
What advantage does a split rig give over a standard

@JTFActual I'm a bigger dude 6'4 260 how's the adjustment on the straps on the chest? some I have used in the past have been just a tad to short
Are you meaning the shoulder straps or the ones that go behind your back?
@JTFActual the back straps I'm sure the chest straps will be fine

Are the straps 1" webbing now or still 1.5" ?
You mean on the shoulders?
