@okgoogle4206 Are you kidding? You know how it works right? They are measuring with I believs micro roentgens. So 0.20 mR per hour is normal background radiation. They were standing in a building with background levels around twice to three times that for 3 hours. Almost one of those hours was spent in an area with 0,1,000 mR per hour, AND spent like 5 minutes near a boot measuring 1 million mR or ONE whole roentgen. Not to mention they are uploading videos going to these areas a couple times a month. So add those figures up and it is very deadly over time.
@TeamRyanRecovery I have watched a lot of more scientific videos on those places, the radiation level is not that high, it's why it's not contained like the blown reactor. 3 times the background radiation level is nothing, it's the same in a plane. And i think cheap geiger counter like that can't count high doses, it jumped from 80mR to off scale >1R. And the other counted 80mR. It's the same level i saw on boots in other videos.

Sure enough you get more energy the more sun ☀️ it sees to a limit! As an example. The solar cell in a calculator can handle less than a whole array of solar cells in a roof panel. The Radiacode scintillation crystal counters use a quite small scintillation crystal. The number of counts a device can handle is the limit on range. Nal scintillation crystals are not as sensitive as CsI but quicker. As I understand it, the newer Radiacode uses a CsI thallium doped scintillation crystal, It would be lucky to manage 750,000 counts per minute based on the crystal size.. I would be greatly interested in the Max accurate reading that these devices can provide. Standard Gm tubes are even worse for speed of count. Fields over 1 Millisievert I doubt that the Radiacode would give you any more information than to leave the area. To be fair both meters suggested that at the start of the corridor!
I can see a little bit of glow in radiation when you were holding a Sony camera next to the Firemans boot. I could see little sparks of radiation go back on the camera and look.

Yep, that's a firefighters boots from the night '86. Not sure why they moved it there, the rest is other clothing they wore... You can see the radiation easier on photographs when developed, but even these digital sensors show artifacts, I'm pretty sure this will be noticable in the future.
