This is what leads to Stockholm’s bloodbath. 1521-1523: Gustav Eriksson (Wasa) leads a rising against King Kristian II and finally ends the Kalmar Union. 1534-1536: Sweden intervenes in the Counts’ feud in Denmark to ensure that King Kristian II can not regain the throne in Denmark. 1563-1570: The Nordic Seven Years’ War between Denmark and Sweden. 1611-1613: The Kalmar War between Denmark and Sweden. 1643-1645: Torstensson’s War between Denmark and Sweden. 1657-1658: Karl X Gustav’s War between Denmark and Sweden. 1658-1660: Karl X Gustav’s second War between Denmark and Sweden. 1675-1679: The Scanian War between Denmark and Sweden. 1700: First Danish participation in the Great Nordic War. 1709-1719: Second Danish participation in the Great Nordic War. 1788-1790: The teather war. Denmark, allied with Russia, which prodded by Napoleon attacks Sweden to force it into the continental system, declares war on Sweden. 1814: The invasion of Norway. (Denmark had to give Norway to Sweden)
So, if you wanted to be more historical accurate, Denmark and Sweden should have switched sides during this battle. After all, Denmark supporting Napoleon was the main reason that Norway was lost/given to Sweden. Who in turn supported the British. Before it would be forced upon them, Denmark gave Norway independence (although motives and possible future desires to claim it back can be argued) and before they even had the chance to enjoy that freedom, Sweden invaded them and now claimed ownership. And this is how the Norwegian flag came to be. Danish Flag with a blue (Swedish) line in the middle. Voilá. Also, I feel so sad about all the Swedes in the comments trying to bloat about how big and important Sweden are/were. In reality, if it wasn't for German/French officers/mercenaries, Scandinavia didn't really have much to compete with, other than strategic location based on trade.

Sweden vs Denmark is one of the oldest rivalries, many many wars
Glad to see Napoleon again PA!
Yes return of Napoleon. Do some more holdfast as well
Was a Good Battle Love playing as the ottomans there play style can be way different from all the other nations and i personally just love there janissary's and there Guard Cavalry, but i had a blast playing this game with the others if some of you guys havent played napoleon i would highly suggest playing very good game
"I don't know if the Denmark and Sweden ever went toe to toe"
oh ho ho. so many times. SO. MANY. TIMES.
French surrender memes are fun because their loss of only two wars gave them that record and most people don't even know of the first one.
Oh my ! love you apollo for loving napoleon who loves huge battles wich we all love
I have to say out of all the total wars I think NTW is the most entertaining and visually awesome!!
LOVE NAPOLEON BATTLES
In the world wars, the French did not have the best battle record but they did hold for a while and I congratulate them for fighting the good fight
