RSR Superdowns Install on 2020 Corolla

- My buddy got some new parts for the 2020 Corolla. The RSR Super downs make the car look super aggressive! 10 out of 10, would recommend and it only took about 3 hours of our time to do it.

you should put 1.5 cm spacers for all wheels ..

!!!!!!Everyone Please Read!!!!!! The springs that used are the srs lowdown that are for the HATCH! They will fit. They don't sell the 2" drop (lowdown) for the sedan but I accidentally ordered the ones for the hatch and after watching this there the same ones they used. They ride amazing too. Just got done today. sucks cause they only have the ones that barely drop an inch for the sedan but the Hatch Lowdown 2" drop ones work amazing.

@@miguelj4503 I don't have Facebook or anything lol. Just order the 2" lowering springs for the hatch if you have the sedan. There the rsr superdowns. Look at the pics of the hatch with them. There pretty much the same drop as they are on the hatch.

@@miguelj4503 sweet. The spring rate is a little more stiff on the rear I believe but that's better for passengers. I'll probably end up getting the coilovers after while whenever the struts blow out. lol. Only a matter of time when the struts go.

Now that they’ve settled it’s such a smooth ride, you can really feel how good the car hugs the road in turns, and it doesn’t beat like you think it will I thought the same thing

I can’t find “superdowns” for the sedan. All I can find are the downs. Am I missing something?
Yes. So technically there are no superdowns for the sedan. The ones we purchased are for the Hatch, however, they fit the sedan.
You just added a killer look to this car. Does it Impact fuel efficiency by any chance? Also, what about driving experience ?
I know from personal experience the ride is very smooth!
I started following you when you friend got his 2021 Corolla SE and I really enjoyed the few videos you posted about said car. But now I am wondering if he had done anything else to it? Is their anything that he did to it that he really hates/ or likes? The big questions I have is about the RSR Superdowms. Has he had any issues with the springs? Ride quality, breaking suspension parts or anything else? Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family..
I appreciate you following me! He put quality parts on the vehicle so that there wouldn’t be any issues with the ride quality or strain on the normal car components. The car does ride and rode very well with the RSR Superdowns. Really couldn’t even tel the difference in ride quality from stock except when you had to go over a speed bump 🤣. My buddy recently sold the Corolla to a good friend of his bc he wanted to upgrade to a WRX. So unless he hits us up for help on his car, the 2020 corolla is gone but never forgotten! hey man quick question, are these the superdowns for the hatch? i noticed they dont list the superdowns for the sedan and i was wondering if the hatch and sedan springs are interchangeable , great vid by the way

Ya! Once you finish the project just take it to a local shop so they can set you up.
How is the ride after having them on for few months, and did it drop lower with settlement?
Still rides smooth as it did! Just gotta be careful going over the speed bumps now lol

Yes the only “sell” them for the hatch but they fit the sedan
Were you able to get the alignment right after the install?
Yes. We took it to a shop the very next day to make sure the alignment was correct.

👍👍 like the video good job. ?? I but mine and they are good ride I put almost 8k miles and notice that the car is 1/4 higher on the passenger front I change the position but still the same 1/4 higher in the same side , any suggestions.
Not sure why that would be. I would say that it is not broke in yet but with 8k miles they should be sitting perfect.
Thanks for the videos! So can’t decide if I want to buy the regular RSR Downs that is meant for the sedan OR the RSR SuperDowns that are meant for the hatch. Like the lower look of the superdowns, but worried about being too low and bottoming out too much. Does it bottom out alot on speed bumps? Any wheel clearance issues?
So with the RSR SuperDowns on this car wheel clearance is not an issue. No rubbing or scrubbing. However, if you do choose to go the SuperDown route, just know you will have to take on speed bumps at an angle. We thought that would not be the case but it does scrub if you go straight over a speed bump. So if you're worried about that mostly, I would suggest going with the RSR Downs (Front -1.2in to -1.4in and Rear -0.8in to -1.0in) vs RSR SuperDowns (Front -1.8in to -2.0in and Rear -1.8in to -2.0in).

Import Image Racing had the best deals on them when we purchased them. You might shop around though before you commit.

I ordered mine bit there about a 1-1.4 front and .8 drop in the rear or something.

Hopefully so! We have a friend that has a WRX that wants to upgrade his turbo and if he does the Corolla is getting a speed boost with his old turbo!
What about the sway bar links do they bolt right up to the strut. Basically will this be plug n play?
Installing the RSR Superdowns that we did was straight plug and play on this car.

5mm spacers gives a more flush look to the pen rims and seats perfect with the stance

They also fit the hatch back. Same process!
My dumb butt ordered the ones for the hatch! I know the spring rate is different for the rear. I wonder if these will work?

Possibly. You might want to search on their website if they fit the 2021 hatch. The lowering springs we installed are "technically" for the hatch but they also fit the Corolla.
