As much as I love the '16 core, Ian Happ has really became one of my favorites with the Cubs. He is just solid all the time. Well done
Agreed. I'm really liking the Swanson-Hoerner combo as well. We just need consistent replacement at third and first and we have an infield once again

Neither, blowing a 6-2 lead is horrendous for the players and the management, but the Brewers’ third base coach made the idiotic decision to send two players in extras and both got hosed at the plate. So we earned it.
Palencia did really good for his first MLB game and shows a ton of potential, I’m really looking forward to watching him play in the future.
Hopefully he doesn’t get hurt like our young arms recently (Heuer, Roberts)

Man my Cubs are just trying to give me a heart attack this season. So lucky to have won this game by 2 phenomenal throws by Happ. This bullpen needs to be improved otherwise even 10 runs aren't enough to win games.
the cubs were EXTREMELY UNLUCKY in the 5th inning with 2 brewer infield hits and an error which lead to 2 runs otherwise the cubs win handily !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,november 2,2016 the cubs became world champions which you already have forgotten !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I get you, my man. Why did they let go of those 4 relieve guys last summer? If you wanna build a good team you don't do that. You don't find good relieve pitchers anyday, anywhere. A great win this was, anyway, crazy game!

Exactly. It’s so frustrating. Our rotation is rock solid (besides Taillon), and we’ve got so much talent in the batting order. We could easily win the division if the bullpen gets fixed.
5:55 that should have been automatic out runner was on the grass line of site of the catcher and first baseman
He ran in a straight line and didn't deviate.
@@sgtleobellaThey're technically supposed to run within the two lines by first base. That gives the catcher a chance to make a play rather than allowing the runner to block a ball. He ran outside those two lines and didn't give Amaya a chance to make the play at first without hitting the runner in the back. So he's out of the base path and should've been ruled out.

The throw was made too wide by Amaya. If he’d have hit the runner I think they would have called him out.

Craziest game i've seen! This highlights video doesn't do it justice,people who've seen it can agree! Let's go Cubbies!
Never thought I'd make it this early for a highlight video but I just want to say that I was watching THAT game THAT night the Cubs won the world series. It was one of the best moments of my millennial life seeing my hometown heroes make sports history and defying everyone who called them losers and the best reminder 2016 was not that bad of a year.

2016 was a great year for many reasons.

That was a great win for the Cubs, very exciting game, but Ross is going to manage himself right out of a job with the way he handles the Bullpen. Just a ton of Cubs fans at the game.
Shouldn't have even been close after 5 inning of shutout ball from Hendricks but thanks to Ian Happ they pulled out what deserved to be another loss.

The problem is that he doesn't really have a bullpen to work with, so he is just trying to throw together whatever combination to hopefully win

Ross is trying to make him in to one adbert started his career as a starter also he has a 2 ERA he’s been solid this season also being at that game some of those were not his fault

That's the worst piece of third base coaching by the Brewers, in the tenth and eleventh innings that I think I've ever seen in the Major Leagues. The left fielder just threw your runner out in the tenth, and you're going to test him again on a short fly ball? That loss is on the third base coach.

I had about a thousand heart attacks from the 8th inning on. The Brewers started creeping back (as they seem to do every time we face them) and I was asking myself, how can this be happening? Two days in a row? We blow a 6-0 lead and now we’re gonna blow a 6-2 8th inning lead and a 6-4 9th inning lead? Happ came up clutch TWICE. I couldn’t believe they won! That was pretty much the only way they could’ve won that game.
That being said, David Ross needs to go. Thank God they won today, but blowing 6-0 and 6-2 late leads back-to-back days is unacceptable. Don’t forget Ross was also at the helm when they blew that 7-0 lead back in 2021 with Arrieta on the mound. His bullpen management is awful. He needs to go. Today doesn’t change that.
