- Hitching a ride with The Sphinx after finishing up the first set of riddles, snapping a screenshot. Just chillin. Be sure to hold onto the back of her head at the end. Got a good feeling you can fly off of there in the cave.

Are we just gonna ignore the fact that she actually flew all the way to her destination without despawning? You dont see that much at all in video games.
she probably does if you're not present. NPCs in Vernworth will despawn and spawn in right infront of me because the game has some kind of dynamic loading system but it cant keep up with large crowds.
the gryphons do it too. was fighting one when it decided to flee while I was on it's back stabbing it. it flew me right to it's nest. 😂
Can confirm she despawns if you're not riding her, watched her fly off and did a quick 360 with the camera and she vanished

@@Daunikkek Wouldn't be surprised with how the game chugs in cities. got a 4070ti and r7 7700x and it still maxes out my processor in vernworth.
That "not half bad" comment means they knew someone would try this and I love that they included it.

I love how grabbing her face like that doesn't piss her off. She's pretty chill about it lol.
If you answer most of her riddles correctly she even says she is highly fond of you. She will ignore some stuff, even giving you a warning if you attack her once. If a enemy attacks you while in her presence and she likes you she will defend you.
Kinda like how spiders & cockroaches will crawl around some people's faces and they barely notice.

Wish she would have a casual conversation with you while you were riding on her back or she speaks with wisdom for you to listen to as the two of you are soaring through the skies. Either way she's aware that you're hitching a ride with her and it's even cooler to see that she doesn't mind that at all.

I find it pretty awesome that she acknowledges you for hopping on her back to fly to the next area, like it was a riddle in and of itself. :3
Finding her in her new location is the 6th out of 10 riddles indeed.
Defeating her without triggering her to fly away, forceing the need of an unmakeing arrow to pass, is riddle 11
@@milesedgeworth3667 You can beat her without the Unmaking Arrow. The key is the Amphora she gives you. Study it closely.
@@TheStraightestWhitest i know, i litterly said the unmakeing arrow is the failsafe for if you trigged the fail condition which makes her to try to escape

@@zeldafreak598 i had 1 griffon and 2 cyclops at one point. The griffon started attacking one cyclops so i started blasting on the other one. Eventually the griffon clipped through the floor giving me free exp. Eventually the other cyclops fell as well. I gained 2 lvls 8D

@@ulfr2333 good luck! them mfs ignore me whenever i try to agro them. i really hate how they fly away in the middle of battle too. it's like they wanted to be monster hunter, but didn't implement a way to track them, so if you didn't grab on it feels like a preprogramed time waster to drain your resources.

Should be standard nowadays, have you seen the scope of avatar, I was disappointed the only way to traverse this world was ox carts, random griffins and microtransactions... Etc
@@shank1013 i guess you don't play the game and just follow the hate train about microtransaction. You need ferry stone to fast travel, and capcom ain't selling that shit with real money, you need in game gold to buy it ! LOL
@@jonathanbosak8581 Personal favorite is the amphora quest: you don't actually have to carry it all the way to the beastren guy, you can bring _him_ to it. Whether on foot or with a ferrystone, you can pick him up and carry him to the Sphinx. He has slightly different dialogue for carrying him to her new lair, but when he sees the amphora, he thanks you and then takes it with him. It's a cool detail!

Not only have did they not make her despawn at any point, they also pathed a way for her to fly that isnt straight, added different flight animations AND mader her fly through a cave. Thats dedication to detail if ive ever seen it, wow!

Just did this this morning you don't get many memorable experiences in games anymore but DD2 definitely does it the fantasy and role playing in this game is just insane.
How nice of the Sphinx to let the player chill on it's back while flying to another location.

I was just wondering if that was a thing I could have done instead. Turns out, I could. This is seriously very cool designed. Just wish they had added another voice line for this.
Haha yeah, I definitely managed to fail my first time I tried it too. And yeah the one "Not half bad" line didnt exactly sweeten my cheerios too much but still thought it was cool. Like you though a few more lines would have been the bees knees.

The bird eye vieuw is amazing in this game, but usually only seen while a angry Gryffin is trying to buck you off its back.
Its funny how it talks to you as if you had chased when when in reality flew on her to the next location., I cannot believe the devs oversaw the players trying this lmao. Would've been funny if she said "enjoy the ride? Well time for another riddle" or something like that.

Same thing with the griffins, they fly to their nest. Gotta love the attention to detail in this game.
Nothing de-spawns. They just de-render. You can still collide with NPCs that de-render and disappear.
The benefits of a game this complex
I want a 10 hr loop of just her rhythmic flapping and the wind; that's definitely something i could fall asleep to.

I knew you could do this with Griffins, I have to try it when I find the Sphinx its pretty cool that they just let you hitch a ride on big flying monsters just for the lols.
Not just for lols it's actually a legit game mechanic for exploration.
@@Clintdaddy412I used it to get the the volcano island a second time didn’t have a waypoint stone and I had to go back for quests needless to say I didn’t want to walk through that dam cave again instead I decided to jump on the griffins back and it took me to the bridge and I jumped off

this answers two really cool questions for me, 1: could you ride the sphinx to find out where she went faster? and 2: does she actually fly over there or disappear after a few seconds?
She will not render after a certain distance from the player but she never despawns. Same with all NPCs. They may disappear but it's them not rendering. They are still 100% spawned in their appearance just isn't rendered.

You either kill her or she leaves iirc. She may despawn after she leaves the second shrine. Haven't actually done any of her stuff yet even though I found the second shrine first by accident.

I wanna know where she goes when she flees after battle. Also notice how the flying animation is on point. Descending is just wide open wings while ascending or maintaining height is flapping wings

This game is truly insane im loving it on my ps5 i flew on a gryphon my 1st time didnt even know it was possible did it by chance when i grabbed on it took off i was expecting the game to just glitch me off but was absolutely flabbergasted to realize it wasnt and i was actually flying on gryphon 😮
When I flew on it for the first time, I was attacking it while on top. Thing ended up crashing in the middle of the misty area and had to fight there till it took off again to the nest where I finished it. Took like 30 min, I was not the right lvl at all lol
If you dont attack it itll just fly all over the map until it goes down to hunt or to a nest,these things are always present in the world
I didn't know you could just stand there. I wasted literally all my stamina items and an allheal elixir holding on for dear life.

Yes.
There’s plenty of ways to enter Battahl before the main quest. Hell, i even enter it on accident and way under-leveled.
Yeah I haven't reached the Battahl storyline yet, but I've been there via two different routes. (Not using the gate).
You can pass through the mountains and see the second Sphynx shrine.
Did this last night and yes, but I didn't get the "Across the Border" achievement. If you want that, you have to walk through the gates at the border checkpoint to get it.

To capitalize upon this scenario better. Use the port she gives as the most treasured item quest and you get dupe. Bring both to new location. Leave one at new location. Travel to bahkbattahl and leave other one on the outskirts. Dont enter city without disguise unless you wanna be attacked.

Looking at this video, I believe that From Software would really benefit of the RE Engine.
yeah. From has never cared too much about graphics though, but they would benefit from a more "real" environment. Physics and all that.
I hate how they have to cheap out in areas just to make the game shippable with their ancient engine. Elden Ring deserved more engaging quests and NPC interactions than it got.

she is a sweetheart indeed, she doesn’t do anything out of malice nor does she seem angry at you either even when you fail a task, she’s just disappointed, other that she’s extremely chill, and actually begins to like the arisen
@@dream8870 I searched for her for like a few days (didn’t want to look up her location) and when I first saw her it was like something out of a movie, she has this majestic aura about her (obviously lol). She’s just interesting man, they nailed her design, voice actor fits perfectly and her quest is so super unique and fun to do.

Questions does the seeker token disappear if you dont find it in the time she gives us?
Its the Finders token we would find in the place of the first seeker token you came across in your game. And yes I'd imagine it disappears after the 7 in game time frame goes up. All other tokens that you haven't found are still in place, nothing happens to those.
It would be cool, if they added in DLC a friendly flying creature, that would shuttle between main locations as premium cart replacement 😎
