Waco Texas Drive | Franklin Avenue US-84 to Downtown

Today we’re taking Franklin Avenue in Waco, Texas from its beginning at Highway 84/West Waco Drive, through downtown Waco, and across the Brazos River to its end at MLK Jr. Boulevard.
Franklin Avenue is one of the main ways to access downtown Waco from the west. After exiting Waco Drive onto the beginning of Franklin Avenue, the first major intersection is New Road where there are a number of businesses and places to eat. Located here is Academy Sports, Lowes, Outback Steakhouse, Walmart, and many others.
After passing Cane’s, Cheddar’s, Rosa’s, and Dutch Bros Coffee, we will pass under Valley Mills Drive, past La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant and continue through “old Waco” down Franklin to downtown. Along the way we’ll pass several intersections and places to eat including Guess Family Barbeque and near Harvest on 25th.
Franklin Avenue passes through the heart of downtown and is within a few blocks of most downtown eateries and attractions. We pass Milo, Union Hall, Clay Pot, Ninfa’s, DiamondBack’s, and more.
We conclude the drive on Franklin at the east end of Franklin Avenue, after passing over the Brazos River, at the intersection with MLK Jr. Boulevard. We’ll take MLK back to Interstate 35 to conclude the video.
