This is what happens when you cheese every single enemy in the game, there's gonna be a point where it doesn't work anymore and you get mohgged by a boss.
There was at least 1 or 2 occasions where Dave got behind Mohg when he cast spells, he could have easily done 3 light attacks or 2 heavies for decent damage, but nope, a single Jump R2. Sure, it used to work when he could easily out-poise his enemies with it but that shit doesn't work anymore, and it won't work for the rest of the game. The end game salt is going to be delicious.
This I don't understand. I don't play elden, but I am 99% sure that if I did I would stop with jump r2, because I HATE when some enemies are resistant to tactics. I'd rather struggle and be well rounded in combat so I can fight anyone, than to rely on one tactic and eventually run into someone who is resistant to it.

Dies 53 times, chugs over 12 potions per battle, over leveled for that area and we hear "See, that boss was super easy doood. You just have to learn the pattern". If you die more than 5 times to a single boss, then it wasn't easy. Easy would be beating a boss without healing and not dying 50 times.

to be honest, even if you're overleveled, mobs can still trash you if you're not super overleveled or paying attention. That said, if you played through the game with some braincells on, you shouldn't even be touched by most mob enemies at high levels because you should already have a mental memory of how they attack. You'd also know how your own character plays with dodge rolls, not being too greedy, and more importantly THE DELAY ATTACK thing should have been driven into your brain when you first faced off with Margit.

I knew the Omen in the Sewers would fuck with him. Basically, they get massive hyper armour when they do wrastling moves (punching, kicking etc) so you can only really stagger them out of an attack when they swing their weapon at you. Took me a while to figure out, then adapt to.
Thats actually pretty interesting to know. As I found that the hits without a weapon were safe to punish with a guard counter. I'm still amazed at how different people find different things.

Agreed. I’m trying to break out of the panic roll habit. I’ve forced myself to learn a few useful weapon/ash combos and whatnot. It’s fun to have a few variations in the tool belt. Ng+ goes 10 times smoother once you’ve learned how to fight these bosses, too. (As opposed to cheesing R2)

Nihil isn't gonna be a problem because his chat will hand hold him to the flask and tell him all about it. Also he will be so overleveled and do so much damage.

Nah it's going to be as boring as possible and he's going to have the tear and shackle. It's going to be a boring cheese fight and if he has the crimson tear then he'll be able to do lots of damage to Mohg during the Nihil phase. @@fmilton20 He is though, he's progressing in the game at the end of the day. Whether it's 50, or 5000 deaths doesn't really matter. People will play at various speeds and some people won't even be able to finish at all. So it's impressive that he is able to advance in the game despite mashing roll with no timing.

He has played every souls game DS1 (2-3 times) DS2 (2) DS3 (1) Demons Souls (3) Bloodborne (1). He has the experience he needs to blow through this. And with all the hand holding it would be impossible for anyone to fail. The ones that are unable to finish this game dont have his luxuries or experience with the series.

I don't think he's saying the game has a delay, he's saying the attack itself has an unexpected pause between the start of the animation and the actual swing and it's fucking up his timing because his babybrain isn't adapting to it.

I knew the Omen in the Sewers would fuck with him. Basically, they get massive hyper armour when they do wrastling moves (punching, kicking etc) so you can only really stagger them out of an attack when they swing their weapon at you. Took me a while to figure out, then adapt to.
Thats actually pretty interesting to know. As I found that the hits without a weapon were safe to punish with a guard counter.

With that weapon he would do more damage if he just did a regular r2 attack followed by a charged r2 attack.

Agreed. I’m trying to break out of the panic roll habit. I’ve forced myself to learn a few useful weapon/ash combos and whatnot. It’s fun to have a few variations in the tool belt.
Ng+ goes 10 times smoother once you’ve learned how to fight these bosses, too. (As opposed to cheesing R2)
