I mean, it's 'less' but for 40% less money. But some of us also think it's actually more. The latest landcruiser was a bloated pig of an SUV (for me). Capable and reliable, sure but it had lost it's way and it's character. Very happy to see them get back to basics with this. I could just do without all the driving nannies!

@@DG-uu9bz Have you seen it in person yet? I did this weekend. Wasn't impressed at all when I saw it in person...especially when I looked at the sticker. If someone is just looking for 'capability', there are other choices at better price points. But it's all subjective.

@@billydanzz Hi have, drove a 1958 for a minute. I can't say it blew me away, but I liked it. I'd say it's a better built truck than my Bronco that cost a bit more. I don't think there's a lot of better options for less than $56000 anymore...unfortunately.

I looked at a 1958 model this evening, and while it was nice looking on the outside, and very comfortable on the inside, the interior felt really low end. The AC vent control feels like it will not last more then a few years. Maybe I'm just used to my Jeep Wrangler 4xe interior; that feels way more premium then this. We'll see how these hold up, but I've rented nissan sentras that seem to have better materials then this.

Toyota’s marketing department is odd up here if I do say so myself.
