I’ve been thinking I was a minimalist for the last 5 years.. till I had to move 6 times. Each time I started packing I moved my kitchen stuff and thought, “wow, I am a wreck!” Just like she did lol
@@Kate-bc7nm just recently moved and I can attest to all of this. It looked minimalist until I started packing 12 years worth of junk. Luckily we downsized majorly.
@@boci122 Unfortunately it puts you in a place of "I need to get rid of junk AGAIN" and if you're OCD like I am, it will never be perfect until it's all gone. I put myself in a mindset where I think "if it doesn't fit in my car (outside of my bed) I don't need it"
I love it when Jessa says, "My family has several box trucks. We'll see if they have any that are not full of junk and still run and drive.". That cracked me up.
Jessa, you usually aren't the "sentimental" or "emotional" one... now you got me crying over here! It's hard to leave a house for sure! I just left a house I was at for 15 years. It's an adjustment, but more special memories are right around the corner! Love your family!
It was a tad wistful watching the tour of the old house. Smaller houses certainly do feel as if they're filled with more love. That look on Ben's face was fabulous!!! This was great - all the best to you and your family!!!

Such a bittersweet moment for y’all!!! 4.5 yrs ago my husband and I sold our first home together, the home we brought our children home too, and the last home my mom visited. The day we put the house on the market I broke down thinking I wouldn’t have memories of my mom in our new home. God bless y’all!! ❤️ your family is amazing

My husband and I lived in 900 sq ft. Home for 14years. We were blessed to be able to build our dream home that was 3,000 sq ft.. I know exactly how you feel about the special memories in that small house. The day we left for the last time, we stood in the kitchen in a tight embrace and cried like babies! I’ve helped both my children move in the past 2 years and it was no easy feat! The fact that you packed and moved everything in 4-5 hours is pretty impressive, especially with 4 young children! My son’s move from a small apartment to his first house took twice as long (granted, we only had 4 adults). I understand the need to say goodbye to a home. My 100 year old mom passed away last year and we, her children, sold the family home a few months later. It was a very emotional experience to clear out her belongings and let our childhood home go. I shed quite a few tears when I took my final walk through.
Jesse, you are an incredible woman! You are so calm, sweet, hard-working, steady and fun! I loved the sharing of your years in your old home! It was very dear, poignant and heartfelt!

I do miss Katy, and My Daughter and 2 of my Grandson's are still there! Boy , do I miss them!! I was their babysitter and ,( I'm a Paraplegic) NY Daughter was My care - Giver...
