My son recently drew on my mother's kitchen cabinets with permanent marker.. I was headed towards a breakdown and I asked alexa what i could use and she said toothpaste... it worked. Beautiful home and family ❤
Jessa, the dining table is beautiful as is the entire home you have created! Good job! You might consider getting those round felt pads (they stick on) for the legs so they slide easily on your floor and won't scratch it. You can also get square ones and put two on the each of the bottoms of the bench for easy sliding. I use them on all my furniture. There is also something called chairs socks for the legs of chairs but the pads don't show and are hidden and look better. Just a suggestion for you. Teresa (Nashville, TN)

For the electrical panel, why not a cork board on a hinge rather than a mirror.That way, you have a place to display all of your kiddo's art work rather than on the wall. House is very pretty.
I use an old picture frame and put coordinating fabric on the cork to match my decor. When I’m tired of the look in my house, I also change out my cork board fabric. It’s a super cheap way to update the look and it’s practical. It will be very easy to add hinges on to access the panel but if the picture frame is big enough to cover the panel than you certainly can just hang it like a regular frame.

We had the same problem with our ice maker / water line. So we bought a new line and filter cartridge. And we flushed the lines with white vinegar. That seemed to do the trick for us. All the best. I really like the open area of kitchen, dining room, & living room as you can keep an eye on the kiddos while cooking! I love the flooring too! I wish I could grow plants. Lovely home, but with so many lil ones i would have ROUNDED the edges of the counter top and the dining table! We have been rocking with a microwave since 1981 and i CANNOT live without the one over the Stove, or the one on the counter. 😉

Hello you probably will never see this but to answer your question about the fridgerator down under the bottom front is should be a piano with a disposable filter. The needs to be changed every three months to 6 months.. I'm not sure look up your brand of refrigerator and look into the filter that's making your water taste bad.
Jessa unplug the fridge and turn off the water valve. pull the water line off fill it with distilled vinegar let sit ten minutes. flush out with clean water and hook back up. see if this helps with the water taste. if u have hard water out there it could have caused a small clog that still let's water come out but taste bad. hope this helps.
That art wall…. Maybe add cork board up high (don’t wanna have it down low because of the tacks with little kids) maybe do a chalkboard below? Walmart has stepped up their pillow game.
About the frig… I admire your frugality. But by the time you paint the old one, get new handles, and repair/flush the water lines, you could invest in a new white one and pass your old one along to a family in need. Just a thought.❤
Did they sell you the spray to clean the leather and moisturizer spray? That way the leather won’t crack and stay looking Soft and Pretty. I love it all

Have you water line replaced,it gets stuck in the lines,I put a brita filter on the back line too very easy,go to Home Depot to get the lines and new filters
I love bacon but dislike the lingering smell afterwards. I cook the bacon outside on any big pan, cast iron on a gas grill burner. One problem..I let the pan cool outside and then forget about it until I'm looking for the pan again or cook bacon again, lol.
A suggestion for more minimalism: steel water bottles for everyone, so no more bought water bottles. Esp. with the Berkey, it makes more sense. Lovely home!
After my Dad passed when I was 10, my Mom's plants started getting out of control. On watering days the bathtub and shower would be filled with plants! She has over 100 houseplants, last we counted. One of the plants she has had over 50 years! Me, I have zero luck with plants. I kill EVERYTHING! My Mom came to visit my new house (I live in another state) and helped me get my front beds all set up, and within a few weeks most of them had died. Hahaha Ah well. I genuinely love houseplants though, they always make me feel more homey. :)
Our refrigerator was doing the same thing. Awful taste, rotten smell, gross. All we did was replace all the lines on the back of the unit and it now taste like new fresh ice and water. Water had mildewed in the lines.

For the kids artwork, install a pretty curtain rod and clip the corner of each piece of art to a curtain hook made for cafe rods.

You can run vinegar thru it that should clean it right up then run plenty of water thru it
