WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use TH-cams lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and TH-cam deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

I’ve found when I wear my watches, that most people don’t care what I’m wearing or only comment on the dial. No one except for the wearer cares about the movement. Wear what you want or what you can afford.

I agree with that, onlookers tends to be more superfluous, they give real, homage, and a seiko mod variant of same design same level of attention. Basically in the end to others it is a fashion (*gasp) accessories.
Dial and hands design matters more to me.
I love Phoibos’ design language, and this watch is no exception. With $100 off, this watch is an insane value. I hope Phoibos keeps up this trend and start producing smaller watches. Great review as always.

Yes, I am waiting for someone to do a titanium GMT diver with the Miyota 9075.
Now this is what I'm talking about! Perfect GMT setup to track 3 time zones. Picking the white up with a white rubber strap for next summer. Will wear it on the bracelet until then.

I love 99% of this watch, but not having a different lume color option kills it for me, I don't like the cyan on any of these except maybe the white dial. Hopefully they'll create a variation in the future.

Seiko took off the shelf 4r36/nh36 and modified it to be a GMT thats brilliant! I love the idea!
Unfortunately i dont need and dont own a gmt and i was skeptical when i first saw this but that dial! That color combination! Its absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks for the review! That's a great looking watch, and I gave a thing for GMT watches, however... I get why they put 24 at TDC, but it drives me nuts. Yes, the outer bezel rotates, but the inner doesn't.
I had an issue with one of the screws being stuck in my Phoibos Voyager but after a couple of quick emails was able to get a few replacement links and clasp. There were complaints on other channels that bezel action wasn't great on earlier Voyagers but mine was silky smooth. Overall I love Phoibos watches and the bright yellow one I have gets a lot of wrist time. Really would have liked to order one of these but probably purple is my favourite however picked up the Zelos Aurora Nebula over the summer so couldn't justify two purple watches.
There's always room just not in my watch box.
You need another watch box! One way to solve the problem… Or just give away your least worn watches as a gift to someone who will wear them… Problem solved!

@@jeffreyromain7336... you can also do the 'one in one out' method but of course for that the watch needs to be better than one you've already got. I posted in here that I have three watch boxes and need a fourth but I am also starting to recognize that I'm not wearing some of my watches enough so it may be a combo of new watch box PLUS a few going out as a few come in.
I have no need or desire to buy a GMT watch, but damn, that white dial with the cyan lume does look good! ⌚😀

I saw this dial and for a brief second thought you had your hands on an Henry Archer Akva. No-one will have a copyright on a wavy line engraved dial pattern, but I do think Henry Archer did it far more attractively on his Akva recently. Perhaps one for a future review?
Yes I am getting a little Nh34 fatigue, this as a three hander would be fine but still not wanting a gmt personally, like everything else about it though.
That bracelet is fantastic
Have a Seiko Monster with a NH - they are made to be cheap to manufacture and therefore not always very accurate. But it can be adjusted and mine is over 15years old and is still as accurate as when I bought it. I would expect the GMT version to be as reliable but maybe $5 more to replace
Don't mind the logo on the case back but on the textured dial which itself isn't that great is enough to put me off . Case, bezel and especially the bracelet look very nice.
I wish there were more affordable options like the ocean star GMT with a normal dive bezel and GMT on the inside bevel

The NH34 was a great move by Seiko. However, you still can't beat the $30 Casio Royale when you want a true world timer! It's the one I wear when traveling to Jakarta and Manila for work, is lightweight, doesn't bleep going through airport scanners and you won't be to upset if you lose it as it's cheap to replace!! Still GMT's are great and I do have the orange dial Seiko GMT! Love Phoibos watches, I do have one!

I don't own a watch with an NH34 but I don't understand why people would be upset with it. It's a great well built reliable affordable Seiko GMT movement. What's not to like.

I'd be curious if this one has any sharp edges. I bought and immediately sold a brand new Phoibos with a MOP dial, because when I asked about the sharp edges they did not consider it a problem. Since then I've been hesitant to reconsider the brand and the bracelet on this one looks to be the same one.
Is it really that difficult to give the edges a quick run over with a nail polishing pad?
I love Sieko and since i can get other stuff with a sieko movement winnnwer winner chicken dinner

Don't understand the value of the lumed counterbalance on the second hand

The smallest slimmest phoibos I've seen in a while, would love them to further reduce the sizes.
I think Jody's Erebus purple is nicer, not a GMT, but just nicer.
NH34 I think is the best movement to arrive since Miyota 9015, which was in 2009 I think. I might be wrong about the year. Also PT5000 happened fairly recently but it is just another clone inheriting the weak points.
The PT5000 is of course phenomenal for bringing 28,800 bph watches to a much lower price point.
@@Justin.Franks Miyota 9015 is also 28,800 bph and much higher quality than any of the 2824 clones.

I never own a Phoibos watch , just heard great things about them. Question for anyone that owns one and a San Martin watch. How does a Phoibos compare to the steel finishing and lume to that of a San Martin? I know both companies regularly use the same movements but I know San Martin does stunning finishes on they watches. However, I know that Phoibos does more of their design
I have one San Martin and 4 Phoibos watches. I think Phoibos finishing is just as good. Great bracelets and clasps, and, from the U.K., you don’t pay either postage or import tax. It’s just a shame they don’t keep their loyal former customers, who are on their email list, informed of new releases.
@baldeagle6128 Thanks for the info. I live in the States, and I have been wanting to get one for a while. I just wasn't sure if it was as good as a SM or better. I think next time I buy a watch it will be a Phoibos.
The myota 9075 should be the GMT movement of choice, actually a quartz alternative would be better and with tritium.
I think these look great, with a slight question mark over the tinted lume. However, I am holding out for a watch with a Miyota 9075 movement. There are a couple coming out soo that mat tick this box in the right price range, which for me is under A$1,000.
I don't own a gmt driver and don't want any. I want a driver with massive hands, massive indices, and a massive bezel.. Like that helm that I was supposed to win that Gary gave to someone prettier than me.
The best thing since the NH35?
Phoibos more often than not picks the wrong bezel inserts for their watches. The glossy ceramic is nasty. Should be matte or stainless.
Altho im not interested at all about most of their watches as i dislike dive watches in general. But Phoibos has some serious things other brands should take notice: dials have simple logo on top and minimal no nonsense text at bottom, signed crown, backplate and bracelet. Their Reef Master Silver White would be close to perfection for me if they removed moving bezel and made dial numerals a bit different and switched hands with more elegant style. WISE with their damascus steel watch was so close to perfection but they ruined the dial with text instead of logo.

NH34 is great. For basic complication, I choose GMT over chronograph since it offers better practicality.
And a diver GMT is way cooler than a diver chronograph.
That date at the 6 instead of a marker just ruins the whole look
I bought a NH34 when they first came out, (on a Pagani piece of nonsense). Then sold it and bought a proper GMT watch. Then realised I didn't have enough money left over to go anywhere. What a complete fool I am. My suggestion - buy two cheap watches, set one to home time - the other to the time you are going to. Be prepared to loose both, and enjoy your holiday.
Only twenty four clicks on a GMT bezel? My education is sadly lacking.
What I appreciate most about your Phoibos reviews is that I'll never be tempted to buy one as long as they continue to use that logo.
That logo makes this brand a big no go for me!
I don't mind another GMT but I'd love to see more GADA watches from these companies. Market is already saturated with dive style watches. And yes, if you're new to the watches, decent diver is probably the best option but rather sooner than later it just gets boring.
There’s always room… If there’s no room in the Watch box, give some of your least one ones away as gifts to someone who will wear them… Problem solved
I've done that ... some sell them but for the lower end Aliexpress watches it's usually not worth the effort time and work so I've given a few away to family (like my 17 year old nephew).
Shame about the logo - I find it really off-putting.
Wait - who doesn't like the NH34? I certainly do, it meant nothing less than the democratisation of mechanical GMT watches. The only reason I can think of to dislike the movement is a to have a gatekeeper mentality. I'm not a fan of Phoibos as I have a history with them but this watch is inoffensive. Perhaps if would need female end links.

Clasp lets this watch down, watch is all-out value and a focus on finishing then they have a garbage , generic clasp…
