I read that every person you see in dreams, you know or have seen before. Your brain always uses a face its seen before, and never creates a new one. Even if you dont remember, you'll have seen them in a commercial or passing by on the street.
That seems like an impossible assertion to justify. Most dreams aren't remembered in the first place, so how can anything about their content be said definitively?
@@michaelccozens I didn't say I came up with the idea. But I think it's about the study of the brain's capabilities and not what one can remember in their dreams. But as they say, we still have a lot to learn about the brain.
I once had to wear a catheter for six weeks. You'd be surprised what people can get used to. When it's inserted by a trained nurse you hardly feel anything. They spray a freezing liquid down the urethra, which was probably the most uncomfortable part. When it's removed it only takes a few seconds.
No such thing? Gulf War syndrome or Gulf War illness is a chronic and multi-symptomatic disorder affecting returning military veterans of the 1990-91 Persian Gulf War. A wide range of acute and chronic symptoms have been linked to it, including fatigue, muscle pain, cognitive problems, insomnia, rashes and diarrhea.
Anyone who has been on a lot of pain meds knows that you don't take the meds seconds before the upcoming pain, you take them 30-45 minutes before the painful event.
What is sad is that pain meds can cause this. I'm on oxicodones (325mg) and a few other pain meds for a spine injury/trauma and sometimes my pain meds prevent you from peeing. So you have a choice, don't take your meds and be in pain but pee, or be in less pain and not pee... Awesome times.

I don't think he didn't know it; he just dismissed it. Wilson thought it was more likely than House having seen the guy before, but House puts more stock in his memories and the workings of his mind than that.
I _don't_ like pain when I cath.
Hey there cowboy
I was expecting a catheter cowboy to start speaking facts. I was disappointed. 🙁
Been cowboyin' for 25 years, and the nuclear triad is composed of land-based missiles, submarine-launched missiles and aerial bombers. So there's the nuclear triad, in case you're the kind of person who might really need to know that ;)
I don't feel any pain when I cath
these guys are lucky. They didnt have to listen to him sing.
Dreams have meanings.
My dreams:
Still the best Medical show ever... #Hugh_Laurie_House
The Knick is just as good.
#Hugh
ok
High bass music at the right frequency will make you release your bladder
And the ultimate crime for singing is dismemberment
Watching him insert hurted me so much.
SSP AMV it didn’t show him inserting it....
@@emmettolson3499 just the thought and sound hurts.
It hurt me a lot too, partially because I know that pain
A funny detail I just noticed is that House kept his pants so far up when using the catheter so that they didn't have to apply extensive makeup to his leg
the scene where Cuddy smiles at 9:11 could easily be made into a meme. like one of those pixelated, streched images.
Bruh that would not be the ideal way to take a leak
Brief, intense pain caused by cathing yourself vs. constant, increasing levels of pain from a bladder that is full to capacity and can't empty itself. Hmm, which is worse?
+ the danger of bursting your bladder due to overfilling.
Yeh if that's the case I would perform the catheter myself just saying tho not the ideal way
Sorry but urethral insertion is not a kink I want thank you very much
Come back 2 comments if/& after experiencing infection event that precludes
water tight integrity resolution endangering bladder w/potential rupturing event.(or don't & live w/blissful ignorance
[X mas wish=hope u keep that blissful ignorance thing rolling]
& try not 2 think to fat or long in2 it🤮!)
Did he insert his own catheter?
Nicely spotted Sherloque
@@cunningsmile4166 Sherlock.
@@semiblindbritguy2268 sherloque.... flash reference.
(Misspelling on Purpose)
"Sherloak"
Lol, it's so weird to see House in combat uniform.
6:46 that per must have felt great.
"I Haven't Peed In Three Day's!!!."😆😆😆
I appreciate the trigger discipline from House.
8:38 - 8:47
"What the hell is THAT??"
"It's a urine catheter collection bag with a rip in it. What the hell's it look like?!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
nobody's getting me blood!
I read that every person you see in dreams, you know or have seen before. Your brain always uses a face its seen before, and never creates a new one. Even if you dont remember, you'll have seen them in a commercial or passing by on the street.
I would love to know where i saw my two adopted mothers in my dream last night XD
@@dylanthewicko8643 lol
That seems like an impossible assertion to justify. Most dreams aren't remembered in the first place, so how can anything about their content be said definitively?
@@michaelccozens I didn't say I came up with the idea. But I think it's about the study of the brain's capabilities and not what one can remember in their dreams. But as they say, we still have a lot to learn about the brain.
That slight smile house does is the funniest thing ever
That has to be one of the best starts in a episode ever!
It would be so cool to have a game where you play all of Dr House's fantasies
I didn't expect Wolfmother in a house episode, a pleasant surprise.
Am I the only one nerdy enough to realise that the marine is named after the leader of rainbow from the tom Clancy book rainbow six
3:45
House : I haven't peed in three days, I'm in agony, I want you to give me perscription.
Wilson : yeah right
I set the song as an alarm, so when ever I wake up to it from a dream I'll have as much enthusiasm to go to school as House has for clinic duty.
now I want a war movie with house as the combat medic
You can’t tell me that that jeep wasn’t the one in the first iron man
how have i never noticed that Wilson is left handed before? crazy.
I once had to wear a catheter for six weeks. You'd be surprised what people can get used to. When it's inserted by a trained nurse you hardly feel anything. They spray a freezing liquid down the urethra, which was probably the most uncomfortable part. When it's removed it only takes a few seconds.
one of the brilliant intros in series history.
Cue Cameron: "You're insane!"
"I'm an insane genius."
Never before has wetting the bed been such a triumph!
For anyone wondering, the music playing in House's dream is *Wolfmother - Dimension*
The scene with House rolling around in bed made me anxious 😂
6:35 hugh laurie is such an amazing actor that he actually put that in xD
Id love a multiverse of house
*Them bad guys must of really not wanted that guy to start singing*
“You didn’t flush.” “I didn’t pee”
That opening was simply awesome
Every time I see Dr House he does something to make me laugh XD
No such thing? Gulf War syndrome or Gulf War illness is a chronic and multi-symptomatic disorder affecting returning military veterans of the 1990-91 Persian Gulf War. A wide range of acute and chronic symptoms have been linked to it, including fatigue, muscle pain, cognitive problems, insomnia, rashes and diarrhea.
I didn't know House was a part of Iron Man 1
we need to see a version of iron man with the house at war scene spliced in.
0:01 Is this from the car that was going in front of Tony Stark's car in the first Iron Man movie ?
Anyone who has been on a lot of pain meds knows that you don't take the meds seconds before the upcoming pain, you take them 30-45 minutes before the painful event.
Yea no gloves. Catheter. Infection
Perhaps there's some sterilizing agent in the lube?
@@megaman161 urinary catheters are a sterile procedure. You have to wear sterile gloves or there's serious risk for UTIs.
Dr House and Dr Cox would be a dynamic duo
House really likes Iron Man 1's opening doesn't he?
Never liked how House was having visions or dreams that predicted the future.
@5:48 I realized that Wilson was left handed
It's the Tony Stark's convoy
3:52Dr Wilson you didn't flush 3:54 Dr House I didn't pee
Imagine being so smart that you figured out your own dream lol
What is sad is that pain meds can cause this. I'm on oxicodones (325mg) and a few other pain meds for a spine injury/trauma and sometimes my pain meds prevent you from peeing. So you have a choice, don't take your meds and be in pain but pee, or be in less pain and not pee... Awesome times.
