I knew there was something I wasn’t thinking of! This is perfect. I don’t have an old frame but I see them in craigslist and have thought about snagging one (free) . . . Just wasn’t sure what I could do with one
🧑🌾I'm SO GLAD this video gave you a great, EASY way to make a shade house! I see frames like this put out by the curb so often & I picture people using them for their gardens! 🪴 What do you grow in your garden?
@@GrowingwithGlenna right now I have a lemon tree that is getting scorched and an avocado tree I grew from the pit . . . I haven’t been very successful at growing food so I have rose’s and lavender and zinnias and yarrow and aloe plants, oh and geraniums and a bunch of canna lilies. I’m a hodgepodge gardener. Most years I grow pumpkins from our Halloween pumpkins, that’s fun . . . I don’t have a very big back yard so I’m thinking about upsetting my HOA and using my large front yard to grow stuff. I do want to be more successful at growing food someday
@@Jennifurdawn An 🥑 avocado 🌳 tree from a pit? That’s quite impressive! And, I love growing 🌸 flowers, too! Your lemon tree will benefit from the shade house and I can’t wait to hear of your HOA’s response to expanding your front yard for food! 🥗 Have you considered growing in hydroponics? All you need is a few feet of space and you can grow your own salad from seed. 💦
@@GrowingwithGlenna not sure if I want to go to the trouble of asking permission first or not? There’s a dude near my house who put a bunch of raised containers all over his front lawn without asking and he hasn’t gotten in trouble so maybe not? My avocado tree is almost taller than me! I’m 5’2 (maybe I’ll be able to grow food by watching your videos ☺️👊)
@@Jennifurdawn When I lived in the burbs I grew things in the front yard that looked ornamental. I also made sure my raised containers looked good. A can of spray paint on an old container is a winner and cheap! 👍 🪴

What a great way to repurpose materials and keep your plants out of that pesky sun!!! 🤠
😎👍 When you live on a farm, repurposing is ALWAYS a good idea!
