The Minecraft composer (Daniel Rosenfeld, not that corporate wannabe Raine) actually had a phenomenal album called "One", that's like 80% kalimba and ambient sounds. A wonderful experience, i really recommend you to check it out.
I don't know how to play ours, but it makes my wife's heart strings resonate so that's a win. Didn't think about trying through that 1st box that repeats 😳🤩😻

Yes! I actually recently sold my Electo Faustus Black Fly, I had a lot of fun with it. They're actually located close to my hometown! This is definitely a really similar device to some of their stuff
yeah I have one of those mic-in-a-box pedals from them. Fun to try it out with various household objects and humming/screaming into it.... but kind of limited. Now I'm going to tape a kalimba to it and dig out some delay/reverb pedals...

They’re not too common! A lot of them are regular kalimbas with contact mics attached but this is something new entirely (to me at least!!)
