Andrew Breitbart - Media War

  • A publisher, columnist, and blogger, Andrew Breitbart is the founder of the Breitbart network of investigative news websites including Breitbart.com, Breitbart.tv, Big Government, Big Hollywood, Big Journalism, and Big Peace. Breitbart's new book is Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me while I Save the World!
Beginning with his college years at Tulane University, Breitbart unfolds his gradual awakening to conservativism, which culminates in an embrace of Rush Limbaugh. Taking on the challenge to combat the "Democrat Media Complex" he explains what he is fighting for. "I want a center-right nation to fight for its soul, and its soul is represented in the arts; its soul is represented in a world in which media is everything." He further explains his strategy. "My business model is to aim every one of our exposés straight at the mainstream media and say, 'Katie Couric, you are being dared not to cover this.'"

I admire this man. Cause I've gone through the same phases in life. Raised by religious, conservative parents. Became a radicalized liberal in college (social science). Started doing drugs. Then went into the workforce with those marxist beliefs... I couldn't hold a job, couldn't enjoy my life... so I quit my job, dropped Marxism & Noam Chomsky... started a business and today I own 4. I've come to the conclusion that cultural Marxism makes people depressed and mentally unstable... which opens the door for social sciences more and more... drawing people closer to socialism. I've also noticed that social science has this initial "honey moon" period. Where you feel morally and intellectually superior for a few years. Then that feelings fades to misery and depression. With capitalism it's the exact opposite. I wasn't nurtured into capitalism like college nurtured me into socialism. I was hoisted and thrown into it almost without choice. Miserable as hell those first few years. But once you find your bearings... self sustainability, money, survival... knowing you did it on your own... it's not just a great feeling it's a sustainable feeling. And I think that vision of the world better reflects nature than socialism ever will. As I'm reminded everytime I watch NatGeo.

I read the first couple of chapters of Righteous Indignation and it gave me goose bumps on how his life was so similar to mine in certain ways. And when he passed away he was the only public figure with the exception of Ronald Reagan that I ever cried about. Until Andrew Breitbart I never had a hero- at least in the contemporary sense. Indeed, he is smiling down on Trump and thinking America is winning.

His obvious political substance and media entrepreneur successes aside, I most love his honesty and most enjoy his west coast speaking style. And, best of all, I love how leftists will seek out his TH-cam videos to make little ankle-biting remarks they think will ingratiate themselves with other liberals. That's the best part, in my humble opinion.

But the way he talks about it here is like it is ground breaking. I see it mentioned quite often, so I was curious if he developed the term "cultural marxism"?
