Since I am not a native French speaker, feel free to point out any translation hiccups in the English subs or any transcription hiccups in the French subs
Well, more accurately, "Je vais aux chiottes" literally translates to "I'm going to the [informal word for toilet]", and the informal english term for toilet that I decided to use for the subs was "the john"
For you to know, the voice actor is called Jérôme Pauwels ! He is a famous voice actor in france who can do small roles even figuration, and other things like being the voice of Anthony Starr as Homelander, the voice of Woody Harrelson and more.. I'm in love with his interpretation as Polnareff and I'm glad you all likes it too ^v^ PS : Also in thoes ova, take a listen to DIO's voice ! It's one of my favorite !
1:06 I love how SC's after images line up to perform the same consecutive attacks. I know faithfulness to the source material is important but using the animated medium to this extent is a reason why I enjoy the OVAs
Je suis pas trop d'accord, la voix de Jotaro ne colle pas avec le personnage mais le reste du doublage à bien géré pour l'oav de Jojo, les voix japonaises de cette oav, c'est des doubleurs de plus de 70 ans et le doublage anglais , t'as l'impression, que les doubleurs lisent un texte

Can you make a similar french dub showcase for DIO vs Jotaro in the final eps? The scene where Star Plat voice crack. Or at least show me where can I watch the FR dub OVA?
You can find some episodes on youtube and some compilations (although without subs). I might make another compilation but I'm not sure if I will, since someday I wanna make a subbed version of the entire french dub. Although I can tell you that the voice crack scene is super underwhelming, he doesnt even say ORA, he just grunts in the scene

From what I can find, "les majorettes" isn't some sort of common expression, he just calls them that. Majorette is also an english word and means the same thing, but I've literally never heard the word used in my entire life, so I felt like "parade girl" would be a more understandable way to translate it.

Avant vu que j'avais pas l'image je croyais qu'il insultait un mec en disant " ho tu est pauvre même dans les pays pauvres " 🤣
I love how this makes it seem like part 3 ended with Polnareff killing Dio and everyone immediately living happily ever after
well except for iggy lol

"À la fin de l'envoi, je touche !"
Casual Cyrano of Bergerac reference, the dub knew its classics
Wow, french Polnareff really hams it up. If only this energy was present in any of the other versions.
I want to watch the French dub so bad his voice is perfect
Me too, but sadly, the whole french dub of this OVA is very likely to be a lost media
