My guesses: Diamond 3: 4 - Honestly I was leaning more for plat in this game, especially losing the voidray didn't make as much sense for D1+, I even knew that just because there's 2 crazy strats, doesn't mean it's low level, it could just be the luck. I guess I didn't take that into account as much as I should've. Grandmaster: 4 Masters 1: 8 - I knew some people even myself in diamond 2 can be pretty good at those splits cause they're not very hard, though 2 perfect splits in a row without boxing out other mutas I thought was impressive (Reynor and Hastem missed the 1st one) Platinum 1: 10 Hmm not bad though not a very good episode out of me today honestly. The GM game started making me think everything was high level lol. Don't worry Harstem this wasn't an easy episode, the GM game was a bit of a free win though the rest of it made it on par with other episodes.

Man. I've went from reynor gets on my nerves with how cocky he is to reynor being one of my favorite people in the starcraft scene. One of my favorite guest on the channel for sure
I think what helps is knowing that he's just having fun, and he's not a complete and total ass like he comes across at first. Seeing him take jokes and seeing how others take his jokes really helps sell him as a fun guy.

He started building spores directly under a flock of mutas - and even several of them - which unsurprisingly caused them all to be killed. Basically he started building spores even only where the mutas were at that exact time and nowhere else (which then, ages later when the mutas came back from defending, caused still no air def to be set up). They had good micro and splitting for diamond level, but the vast majority of diamond players would kind of give up on the third to instead build spores in the main and the natural, where one actually has a chance to get them up. I.e. while the micro was above the standard for dia, the decision making was reaaaaly awful.
Reynor's idea of guessing MMR actually might not be that bad. I've been laddering on EU lately and at 2800 MMR I'm playing Masters 3 players at 2500 and Bronze 1 players at 3000. There seems to be so much overlap between every league in between that I can't imagine these episodes getting any easier
Hey Harstem. I have a thought about this for season 3, what if its not all about the lowest points but the lowest points compared to your points. Then it dosent matter if its an "easy" episode or not. So 5-6 is the same as 12-13. Whatever you do keep up the good work.

As an aside, Reynor had such a politician answer, where he said a lot about why he picked the rank, while giving away 0 information about why he picked the rank. Round 2: GM (0 points) - If I am not correct, I will be very surprised for every individual point I get. Round 3: D1 (0 points) - I felt from the beginning that this was at least the upper half of the leagues. The last few plays pushed it up higher. I was waffling between D1 and M3, but the first round was M3, and thought it more likely we’d get a different rank this time. Round 4: P2 (0 points) - The vibe I get from this game is a lot of right ideas that were executed okay, and a few not right ideas that were also executed okay. If the decision-making is okay and the execution is okay, then the league is okay. P2 is the most “okay” league of them all. I will agree with Harstem at the end. This was a relatively easy one. Especially round 2.
Doesn't the player from the current round usually get slotted in to the final standings? Why is Reynor absent here? With 5 points it's not like he wouldn't even fit in here, he should be in a playoff slot.
All these Rank Roulettes goes to show that Harstem really has probably top 3 understanding of the game, if not top 1. He many times catches things that not even players like Serral or Reynor do. But ofc, these high level players dont have experience in casting or analysing on the fly like Harstem does. So they many times see something, but dont speak out. In game they play intuitively, they see something and immediately counter-play, but when having to analyse that live they dont say as much. But yeah, Harstem is easily the best analyst in the game. Too bad he doesnt have the execution of like Maru, he would absolutely kill it. And he is only getting older.. SC2 is a young boi's game, like twitch shooters like Quake are.
first he was flamed by some gm guy in is it imba or do i suck and now this, poor showtime. as a fellow german i'd say strike back and make a video in which you stomp harstem to the ground 3 or 4 times AND analysing why he lost so miserably 🙂

Because you lose 1 point for not being correct and then 1 point for each division you are off. So it's either 0 or 2,3,4,.. you can't get 1 point.
