Serral is a strategic genius, he definitely noticed and never mentioned anything about it, instead talking about the ridiculous builds and units xD. Definitely missed the forest for the proxy nexus trees I think. I probably (paying better attention) would've guessed maybe Diamond something, but I NEVER would've risked Masters, no chance. I don't have the championship winning stones like Serral does to make a call like that. Shift clicking his probe behind the opponent mineral line, switching screens quickly, building cannons & battery in 2 seconds - the overall speed & ease of control... that's what put it over the line for me Into a very reluctant DIAMOND 3, not M3 lol
@@oldoddjobs Yeah, when i saw the probe clicking behind the mineral line and when the immortals attacked the dark shrine, red quickly selected both gates 2x, that's usually a reflex done by higher level players, but i wouldn't have gone that high up because blue absolutely ignored his mineral line being trashed. Then again, he full walled, so nowhere to run anyway, didn't know that.
There'll always still be some idiots that think GSL is somehow a higher test of skill than Rank Roulette, but true SC2 fans know that this is as peak as SC2 gets. Serral the GOAT, ending the debate once and for all.

In previous seasons they have done a China server game in that spot, but those servers may not be online anymore or something. That was better than expected for me.
If I remembered correctly, they got merged into the Korea server. Or at least tried uniting more Asia countries into a specific server. I could be wrong though.

Watch the start of the last game and see how fast the red toss plays, no one below diamond taps that fast. That alone should put the last game in diamond 1/2.

I also guessed m3 at the end. What prompted me was that Red tried to mine the last few minerals for a DT while blue held back on making an observer in case he needed to build a nexus. This decision making was top tier. The reason I didnt say higher was because of the less then lovely immortal micro, and of course dark shrine in the wall was a bit odd. M3 made the most sense to me.
I've been checking my notifications every day in anticipation for this episode, and holy hell - This was absurd. Also, Harstem's "Yup!" at 21:52 had me rolling laughing.
Yeah, because in the 1st and 3rd season they pulled a Chinese server game into the line up. Now with it shutdown this is the best troll game they could get to make it hard on them.

Koreans like Maru play every single international tournament with massive jet lag, if Serral wanted to be GoAT without this rank roulette performance, he'd have to go to Korea or perform well with a different race like Reynor did or maintain being at the top a bit longer. He needed this rank roulette performance to solidify as the goat because he couldn't match Maru on longevity or on performance vs non-jetlagged Koreans playing off ping. If Longevity doesn't matter then we can say that Life is the GoAT or Reynor or Rogue or anyone who performed really well for a short amount of time. But IMO, this greatest ever rank roulette performance confirms that Serral didn't have to rely on playing Zerg or with jetlag on his side to be the best - it Proves that he is the best thanks to his megamind brain. I also guessed m3 at the end. What prompted me was that Red tried to mine the last few minerals for a DT while blue held back on making an observer in case he needed to build a nexus. This decision making was top tier. The reason I didnt say higher was because of the less then lovely immortal micro, and of course dark shrine in the wall was a bit odd. M3 made the most sense to me.

I've been checking my notifications every day in anticipation for this episode, and holy hell - This was absurd. Also, Harstem's "Yup!" at 21:52 had me rolling laughing.
Yeah, because in the 1st and 3rd season they pulled a Chinese server game into the line up. Now with it shutdown this is the best troll game they could get to make it hard on them.

Also i'm pretty sure serral's reign of absolute trashing every other pro, like it's not even close, has held on for longer than maru's. Like serral has no negative winrate against any other pro. He has 90+% winrates in pro series overall. There is really no discussion there :D
@@asdfasdf-mn8iu Serral has not nearly as much longevity, he was trash tier in both the other sc2 games where Maru was already a God. Also Serral plays Zerg which dominated everything through the Era when he performed well. Serral also never went to Korea or played a GSL so it's missing from his legacy. However, this rank roulette performance makes him the goat anyway. Koreans like Maru play every single international tournament with massive jet lag, if Serral wanted to be GoAT without this rank roulette performance, he'd have to go to Korea or perform well with a different race like Reynor did or maintain being at the top a bit longer. He needed this rank roulette performance to solidify as the goat because he couldn't match Maru on longevity or on performance vs non-jetlagged Koreans playing off ping. If Longevity doesn't matter then we can say that Life is the GoAT or Reynor or Rogue or anyone who performed really well for a short amount of time. But IMO, this greatest ever rank roulette performance confirms that Serral didn't have to rely on playing Zerg or with jetlag on his side to be the best - it Proves that he is the best thanks to his megamind brain. However, you have got to appreciate that when I stopped playing and following the game like ten years ago, Maru was on top and when I returned 10 years later, he was still on top. That says something. But so does Serrals rank roulette performance haha
