@@asdfasdf-mn8iu I think it came down to him using 20 larvae on lings to fend off the first attack instead of building 5 extra queens and using the larvae on drones.
what's a staircase drill?
These videos are always very nicely edited. It doesn’t require a lot of editing in comparison to most TH-cam videos or something like a video essay, but just the little visuals of popups and that translate animation is a nice touch that increases quality. Thank you for the vid
Hahaha that marines and minerals bit was hilarious
marinels
Hamster going wild in the annotations and editing. what a chad.
Also this IMBA complaint. "help i don't have the brainpower to counter a single kind of unit"
daaaamn that google translate edit was smooth!
This was great, I didn't know how this series worked with the complaint form and stuff. Super entertaining.
The "Trade Info" pop ups are next level!
what pop ups?
Honestly I don't play this game but I used to play a lot of similar games with my dad.
Coming back to this channel each week for IODIS is fantastic and your insults are amazing.
This was basically me when learning to play SC2 using the free trial. Just playing Terran, macroing and buliding only marines.
Congrats for the video, the editor is incredible good, loved the hud and effects. That google translate was great, also the commentaries and info of speed, costs, and so on (Sorry the english, still learning :))
13:40 Top tier cocktail annotation from Hamster XD
It felt like the terran was doing the stair case from jakatak :D
PS: I felt like the zerg was just freaking out when he saw the Marine stream and never get into his flow again, as his start was really good
That LOTR analogy flopped, but I really liked your Door analogy. Perfectly encapsulated that zerg mid-endgame
Ok, I know the video is 3 months old but editing on 18:15 made my day. Thank you Harstem and Mr. Editor :)
The guy who out-mined me 2-to-1 had awful macro
"if my grandma had wheels she'd be a bicycle"~ Famous words from Harstem
Ah, the good ol' Stalin build by the terran. I've met it few times in my life on the ladder and I always found it totally hillarious.
8:45 Harstem unleashing his frustration with banelings on poor pigeons made me laugh
"This is the stone that I'm throwing, and these are the PIGEons while there's a massive loaf of BREAD or.. CORN or whaTEvEr that PIGEons eat." - Harstem
8:40 that's crazy he seriously a-moved onto the only fucking marine running away lol
Watch again, the marine was split after the a move. Looks suspicious to me.
I would just like to say how impressive the production of these videos has become. I come in and out of watching SC2, and used to watch this series religiously. I loved the early episodes as well, but all the little animations and info pop-ups are seriously well done.
Great work Harstem/Harstem's editor!
Ok Harstem, I want to know: What's the highest league you can achieve while only building marines?
There is guy in our community, with 5.6-5.8k with terran, and he runs his blog in socials, so one day he posted a replay with some real crazy dude playing vs him TvT only minerals only marines, our guy barely won so idk :D :D
can recommand this guy. have alot of 1-2 unit types to GM series, where sentries only to gm are one of my favorites. if this dosent show that its basicly most about macro and micro, and unit comp matter less, i dont know what does it. here ya go
th-cam.com/video/dTWvlG6Lork/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=BeastyqtSC2
Master league probably.
@@thefirstsol1770 ik this is a ten months old post but name?
@@solarflare3382 Unix, but I doubt you can find replay by yourself, since its borrowed deep in posts
Loving the explanatory notes in the top right! I’ve been watching a bunch of recaps of pro games without fully understanding how all the factions work, so these explanations are super helpful
That feeling when zerg has half the workers of a terran, with that much eco couldn't you do basically whatever you want anyway and still win?
@harstem I came here for the 500 marines video then got hooked on your focus on your English. Just a note, your English is outstanding, AND you speak more than one language. Don't be so hard on yourself. You sound great and completely understandable.
"So sadly i have to give u a Suck" Harstem i love you :D
23:29 - If my grandma had wheels, she's be a bicycle.
Harstem: "This is the dumbest game I've seen in my life."
Lambo and DNS: "Hold our beers."
Harstem, I've seen alot of you in the pro scene and I can't believe I didn't find your videos sooner, amazing job man, keep it up! It's ppl like you who keeps SC2 alive s2
I loved this game! i'm not even a T player and I kinda wanna try this...but i'd get combat shields early, and then time my armory to finish as 1-1 finishes just to slightly more streamline this stupid marine-spam build. ...looking forward to the zerg tears! XD
Somewhere out there, in China, there is a Chinese version of Zapp Brannigan.
won the battle, but at what cost? many human souls have lost today! F for marines
those were no Marines, Those were Imperial Guardsmen.
F
I love at 14:09 when the editors note says the do not endorse any form of alcoholism after Harstem mentions it will make you feel good 🤣
Banes kill a lot of marines and hydras just die, so I guess I'll make 1 baneling for every 15 hydras.
I love how Harstem is putting out notes and other info during the match up. Quality content there.
Funny that the terran didn't even bother building reactor add-ons to those barracks and just continued pumping out marines like how zerg pump out zerglings and banelings... or to be more funny, like how Has just pumped out zealots and played protoss but with zerg strategies when he went against Dream and Cure. Lol
Do 'only marines' as T to the Master league series!
Zapp Branigan given command of the terran forces realizes there is no problem that wave after wave of his own men cannot fix
I know that I am late to the party but your editor was putting in absolute work here with this video. Love that he was having fun and humoring us while you were struggling with your words and alphabet.
The thing I love about Harstem is the analogies. Always insanely creative and bluntly comedic.
The intentional "berly" at 2:12 was a strike of genius by the editor.
Your humor absolutely cracked me up :) The pigeon analogy was legendary.
i've seen the terran's strategy in a carbot episode once
My god. I honestly never realized how many letters "marines" and "minerals" have in common. Thanks for the language lesson Harstem!
This Terran makes me want to play SC2 again
That pigeon story was the funniest when I seen those banelings bypass those marines 🧐 and u paused the video I was laughing before u even started. Great material bro keep up the good work 👍
This zerg forgot the most important rule of unit compositions in Starcraft.
More stuff hard counters less stuff.
Love me some winternomics
Man, your voice is really good for this, the video quality is real good, and the small tips, notifications on the top is a fun thing to watch, sucess my friend!
The color of the eggs will change!!!
dudes name is youqi jiatang, which loosley translated is "pour some sugar on me". LMAO!
nydus+6 lurkers and this game would’ve probably been over real quick
Terran buildings fly.
12:50 - 13:12 "And then all you need to do --is close it.-- walk through the wall and say OOH YEEAAA!"
I came for harstem but stayed for hamster
I came for marines but stayed for minerals
12:42 Trade info card says 24 banelings? is hamster just harstem's alternate ego misspelled?
Zerg name: "lacquer with sugar", Terran name: "Only can beat up Zerg". Looks like T is trolling.
I love how much work went into editing, so funny and informative
