"And so, the struggler finally achieve his vengeance and all of his comrades, killing the Falcon and destroying his kingdom of lies, but ir costed his life as well. And so, his child and women buried his body under his sword, a reminder of struggling, struggling in a world full of hope."
Guts has defeated the evil Femto. However, not without the cost of his own life. His struggle is finally over. Casca has been avenged. The world is at long-last at peace. The Hero's sword is planted into the ground as tribute to the greatest human that ever lived. Saviour of the world.
@@wb6930 Why would even killing all of the God Hand result in world peace? That was my point. The Skull Knight pointed out that even killing demons is basically just like beating your fist against the reflection of the moon in a pool of water. It does nothing to the moon itself. There's still ordinary evil everywhere regardless of what the horrors the behelits result in. Think of Gambino and the war veterans in the Lost Children arc. The world is ruled by cruel, superstitious, rapacious people without any special intervention by supernatural forces. People hoping for some cathartic vanquishing of evil have a bizarrely optimistic outlook on the world Miura's created. If Guts as a character has a theme it's "struggling against fate," not "destroying evil in any meaningful or permanent way." I kind of doubt Miura will finish the series before he dies, but the best ending would probably be Griffith purposely getting killed by Guts and then being treated as a martyr, inspiring a continuity of the Christianity-like religion, which he reigns over from the aether/spirit world.
@@CeramicShot I wasn't talking about ordinary evil, you act as if Fantasia's arc never happened. Every human is now forced to move to Falconia, a place where a sacrifice once occured long ago. The God Hand literally brought Hell on Earth by bringing in beings from the deepest levels of the astral world. Everything up till now has been the work of the God Hand, I'm talking about the pestillence, the tower of conviction, the purpose of apostles such as Mozgus and Ganishka, the rebirth of Griffith, the destruction of the spirit tree, and the rise of falconia. Griffith fulfills his goal while humanity suffers, that's been literally foreshadowed in the eclipse too. Come on now... Also, the idea of evil is non-canon.
A lot of people think this is a negative song. Too me it’s about stepping up, it’s a song of hope. The trumpets blowing is a sign of it, like something good is about to go down. It’s about glory and winning battles. It’s about coming out on top whilst going through difficulty.
