Gion Matsuri reminds me of the novel The Old Capital by Kawabata-San. Thank you for sharing this! Trying to imagine the old world charm is hard in modern Kyoto but it is amazing that they keep these age-old traditions alive! Sutan is getting to be quite the elegant young lady already at 5!! Honestly, her bangs look quite chic on her as she’s figured out! Bit sad that children grow up so fast these days but she’s lovely nonetheless, the cute and chubby little baby is transforming into an elegant little lady ❤
