1999-2003 F150 How to open stuck Supercab rear door

This is a quick video on how I opened my jammed rear door of my 2001 F150 Supercab. There's a number of ways to do this, because there's a number of ways these doors break. Comment below if you have any questions. If needed, I can make another video showing how to repair the cable ends.

It is hard to get to the broken cables.I punched out the 3 mounting rivets to the central mechanism.Then used a 1/4 inch drill bit to drill out the rest of the aluminum rivet.Then I used 6 mm × 20 mm long bolts, nuts, washers instead of the old rivets.I could move the mechanism around to get to all the cables, before installing the bolts.

I pulled the cable and it snapped off at the bottom. Not sure what to do now😂

Sadly I did this and damaged the latching process on the driver the child lock stays open so it will just be a free opening door
