This is such BS. They pick on people like you, while letting such filth as sssniperwolf not only remain on the platform but be monetised as well. Absolutely disgraceful.
That's probably because she makes them gross amounts of money. TH-cam will _always_ go about bending their own rules for the sake of maximizing profits, and small clip channels are perfect targets for them to fuck over. Meanwhile we've seen how disproportionately they treated sniper with the doxing shit. She even wound up doing ban evasion like the day after her monetization got suspended by just uploading her content onto a second channel, and TH-cam didn't even punish her for it.
Sorry I dont know much about clipping in general but what is the reason for demonitization? Arent there like many other channels doing the same thing but not demonitized?
my brother in christ ur making compilations, the work you do is appreciated by hololive fans but we arent your fans and the content we watch isnt yours.
There's a whole section going over their guidelines for clips in particular on their page for derivative works. Here's what they say regarding monetizing clips: "We will not interfere with the use of partner programs or creator programs on video sharing sites such as TH-cam, Niconico, etc., any advertising revenue earned thereof, or any other monetization schemes offered by such sites, provided that the aforementioned guidelines, said sharing sites’ terms of use, and all third-party guidelines are adhered to, and no IPs or copyrights are infringed upon. * We forbid the registration of any created or submitted clips with Content ID, or any other automated identification system, as your own work" So yeah, not breaking any rules.
@@TheTubePoweredOne Oh fair enough, I don't pay too much attention to the clipping side of things, I'm more on the merch side, so that passed me by. Thanks for the info!
Sorry to hear that man :(
I just saw Oboretai's vid on this. I'm getting concerned YT is actually gonna kill clipping as a whole.

@@TheTubePoweredOne I look forward to the day when this miserable excuse of a platform crumbles, and something worthy will take its place.

I mean you're specifically not allowed to make money off derivative works of Hololive's copyright so I dunno why you're whinging.
