Wushan County is located on the eastern edge of Chongqing City and in the heart of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area. It is known as the "Gateway to Northeast Chongqing". It spans both sides of the Wu Gorge of the Yangtze River, bordering Badong County of Hubei Province to the east, Jianshi County of Hubei Province to the south, Fengjie County of Chongqing City to the west, Wuxi County of Chongqing City and the Shennongjia Forest District of Hubei Province to the north. As of 2021, Wushan County covers an area of 2,958 square kilometers and governs 26 towns (streets) and 340 villages. At the end of 2022, Wushan County had a permanent population of 463,500 people and an urbanization rate of 45.70%.
In July 2019, it won the title of "China Natural Oxygen Bar" creation area in 2019. In September 2019, it was selected into the first batch of national all-region tourism demonstration areas. On June 20, 2022, the Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-speed Railway will be put into operation, and Wushan Station will be opened.
In 2022, Wushan County will achieve a regional GDP of 22.224 billion yuan, an increase of 4.1% over the previous year. The three industrial structure ratios are 17.3:29.9:52.8. The per capita GDP is 47,912 yuan.

I don't think I could live at the top of those hills, but having someone drive them makes it more fun for me. 一个丑陋的城市，与其美丽的自然风光和人文历史完全不相配。千篇一律毫无美感相距太近的高层楼房，造型古怪的街灯，甚至大部分的街树看上去都像是随便插在街边，与街灯和建筑完全不融合，且树型也是千篇一律，看上去僵硬得很。

This is a very small county town. It is built on a hillside next to a big river. It is surrounded by mountains. The buildings are relatively old and there is no room for future development.
