Thank you Judy, for talking about this episode a Walton Easter. I also had noticed that the kitchen had changed and the Mysterious door had disappeared. I didn't pay that much attention to where the tree house and the mill we're located in relation to where they were in the series. I like other fans were also disappointed that Jonesy, John Curtis, Charlie and Cindy were not in this reunion movie. To me when they take out too many people it seems like there is a hole in the family that would not be there if all those people were in the movie. Thank you for explaining why the house was different and the front yard. That all makes sense now. I still wish that somebody could have come up with a 50th reunions for The Waltons and tribute it to the folks that are gone. Hi Judy, I love your channel, and your recollections about this wonderful series. I was the focus puller on the reunion movie A Walton Wedding. Everyone in the cast was exceptionally gracious to me, yourself included of course. The cinematographer Bill Butler passed away last week just short of his 102nd birthday. We should all aspire to live life to the full measure as he did. Keep up the great work, and thanks for the memories.

Thank you so much, Judy. Hope your Easter was wonderful. Nice to hear about all the behind the scenes things. For me, I am thoroughly enjoying my reading of Earl Hamner’s book “Goodnight! John-Boy” .
Oh Judy how I love the earlier 'Easter Story' from I think season 3 when Olivia was stricken with polio. It really made me appreciate Crocuses in the spring 💐 I watched both yesterday. I think one of the few times I saw John and John boy go at it on the edge of a mountain cliff 😮 Hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter 🐣 🕊️
I always felt like I was apart of the family. Greetings from San Jose California. It's pure magic listening to you talk about those days on the Waltons set. These details perhaps otherwise lost to time. What a Very Special Showing. All I really needed for Easter. To Me “The Waltons” is and will always be more than a TV Show, its a way of Life to attain, a set of Values to Live by, and a HOPE to seek. I always enjoy this movie. Was it hard for all of you to get back into character after so much time away? I love that you all came back together for it. Great necklace, Judy!
I never really noticed these changes on the sets as changes due to practical reasons, instead I just assumed the family had made changes due to progress and the passing of time resulting in general home improvements and maintenance as people do in real life. Either way, I'm so wrapped up in the story that I can forgive all the changes made, even with the continuous changing of family members or absence of them. Thank you for this part 2 Judy and best wishes and happy belated Easter to you from your waltonian superfan in a mild England😉
Woww,58 years old and tears came to me eyes seeing grandma Walton in this episode which I guess aired while I was overseas back when.. Missed this entire episode along with a few others from back in the day...
Thank you, Judy, for talking about this episode/movie. I had only seen the original "An Easter Story", and had not seen this this one before. Seeing Ellen Corby's 'Grandma' was so moving ... bless her. I'm going to search out this Easter Story and finally watch it. Again ... thank you.❤
Hiii Judy! I loved this so much 💗 I’m sorry I’m late to this video, my cat had to be put down :( watching this is something that brought light and happiness for me during this hard day. Thank you for sharing, A Walton Easter is my most favorite reunion movie :) and I hope you are having an amazing day ❤ Love, Jamie ~ huge Waltons fan ✨
Judy, thank you so much!! I hope you had a wonderful Easter! And Thanks for clearing up the mill issue it was making crazy about why, after everything John went through to build that mill getting put in the hospital that they would not have it in the scene. All makes sense. You explained everything so well I don't have a question. Imagine that 😊 Looking forward to your next video to make my day!🥰
You mentioning the discrepancy in years is certainly interesting to me. I have always felt that there was a 10 year chunk of time missing between the end of the series and the beginning of the reunion specials (or it is just my growing older memory).
Initially there was less of a jump as we did them fairly close to the end of the series - but then the next ones were 10 years later in real life, and we jumped time even more than 10 years.
Judy, thank you for revisiting that episode. I remember it well. I still recall how much I wanted yet another Waltons special - despite the continuity issues. It did complete Richard's story arc so I can understand why they ended it when they did but I wish you guys had one more opportunity to revisit the show. I saw on IMDB that the Waltons did a second Thanksgiving movie from CW. I did not see you guys - outside of Richard Thomas in the credits -> NOT FAIR! They needed to invite you guys!
Judy I hope you had a lovely Easter. I saw the movie over the weekend. Something very sweet about the mood, it felt like there was alot of joy in everyone being together again. ❤️
Judy, another great behind the scenes and I learned something knew, I never knew that the youngest child of Jason and Toni was their real life daughter but looking at the pic of her you can tell she looks just like her momma. Maybe one day I will write out that script for a reunion movie and send it to you and then you can share it with the others. If for no other reason than just to give me feedback on my writing. I am not a professional but have always felt we needed to finish the storyline out a bit better.
After all these years I have started re-watching the “Waltons” and am enjoying it very much. I also like your explanation of the scenes. My TV server has a station and they have featured the “Waltons”. I am recording them. Thank you.
I recall seeing the recipe room in the Baldwin home. I believe it was during an episode in which an unscrupulous cousin was attempting to sell the recipe without consent of the sisters. Also, suspending disbelief due to breaks in continuity is easily forgiven considering the wonderful acting in this sequel to the original series. Thanks for so generously sharing your insight with us.
That was so interesting, thank you Judy❣️ I love your channel, I'm so glad your doing this. Even more glad that I found your on here a couple years ago. 🙌 Hope you had a lovely and blessed Easter❤
I also noticed there is a scene where John-Boy (I think) is like I don't remember there being any twins in the family. They have just found out Janet is going to have twins and so I believe this is why this topic has come up. Anyway, it drives me crazy because I know that Jim-Bob had a twin!
I always wondered about the inconsistencies of the characters. Esp John Curtis & Cindy's absence. But in every program whether Walton's or some other you have to use your imagination. I love the Waltons. I've seen everyone of them several times. Thank you, Judy!
I loved this episode. There's had been so many interesting things going on.Johnboy seemed so excited about becoming a dad.Janet wasn't sure about going into motherhood.Judy I loved when you always reached out to sick in any series.
Thank you for all the interesting details of sets & filming & possible reasons why there were changings. Personally, I am happy to know that I saw changed swing direction, what happened to the mill?, tree in wrong/different place, no picture of the Judge at the Baldwins, & where's the kitchen pantry door & wasn't imaging them Whew! Thanks once again, Judy.
Hi Judy! I wanted to wish you and your loved ones a very happy Easter! It is belated, but I am sure you did. This episode touched my heart deeply with all said and done with Olivia. I am always moved even today by the strength and love you all did for the true family unit and leaving your mark to touch other lives.
With all the differences that the new Walton house created, I chalked it up to modernization. The thing that I kept thinking of while watching this movie was that certain characters were not represented or even mentioned. But we were greatful that this reunion special was made and that Richard Thomas was once again playing John Boy.
Glad you enjoyed it. I do understand the challenge for script and budget when we had accumulated so many family members, and extended community members we grew to know and love. Impossible to include them all.
Thanks for sharing. I had questions about the timeline and why on the later reunion shows, like you mentioned here, why were all the children not mentioned or Jonesy and Cindy. I honestly didn't notice the differences in the set as much because things change over the years.😊 The updates on children and spouses were what I would've liked. Thanks for the info you share. I would still like to see you interview the actor who portrayed GW if you can make contact with him. "The First Casualty " is one of my favorites even though I get a lump in my throat every time I watch it.😢
I love all of the episodes and reunion movies. It’s sad seeing the changes and the end of such a wonderful series. The Homecoming and the Easter Story when Olivia had polio are my favorites. I watched it yesterday. One of my favorite parts was when Jason wanted grandma to keep ironing so he could find the beat for ironing board blues! So many good episodes!
Judy - another great behind-the scenes segment. Thank you! Two questions: * Where or who starts the process of doing a reunion program? Does the network make the decision to do a reunion… does a series producer or director go to the network to make the request… something else? * Where did you all stay when filming the Easter reunion? With cast members coming from different areas, I wondered if everyone was under one roof (so to speak) to make transportation easier. Thanks as always! Jim in Indiana
Great questions. I think it happens both ways that you mentioned. Most of the cast still lived in LA. I came in from Vancouver, Canada, so I stayed with my brother and his wife.
Yes! I've been waiting for that since A Waltons Easter. I always wanted to see the family come together to finally build the home on the mountain for Olivia. Admittedly, it would be very difficult now without John. But I would most certainly still watch.
Yes! But the realist in me thinks that with the current Waltons reboot movie series, we will never get another reunion of the original/classic cast. And honestly, without Ralph Waite, Ellen Corby, Helen Kleeb, Mary Jackson, Joe Conley, and Ronnie Claire Edwards, it just wouldn't be the same. The recurring cast was just as important as the regular cast, in my opinion.
I just watched this movie yesterday on TV. And I noticed the porch swing facing a different direction and some of the other changes you mentioned in the video. It was very interesting hearing you talk about the very things I was wondering about just last night. Thank you so much for sharing another fun video.
Seeing that the cast all returned to me makes reunion specials truly special..especially ones with large casts such as The Waltons. The changes of the sets and such vs what we all grew up with in the main series run is a bummer though. The Baldwin sisters house and piano being one of them. Seeing grandma there was the best part given we all knew...you guys much more intimately, about what she had been going and gone through. As for furniture tweaks...like the table...has anyone..or did anyone ever set aside or otherwise save key pieces of the set after all was said and done? I do hope so given the memories attached and the historical value regarding television. I do hope you had a blessed Easter Judy...mine was definitely blessed for sure🙂
All being back working together was the best part of it for all of us, too. Since all the set pieces and props belonged to the studio or company, they weren’t available for any of us to keep.
Dear Judy,Hi! I am so Glad you explained so much of the different settings because I was wondering if I was remembering things right or what and you truly ease my mind! I don’t want to be thinking I was getting forgetful and I am Glad you also talked the kids too ! Boy , to me anyway your sets were So Changed and The Baldwins set was a shock to me because it was always so elegant and when Jason was in one of the bedrooms it was elegant also this was really toned down a lot! The original sets were excellent! I was surprised seeing John Boy having a private spot to write at that was a surprise! New set too you are so Good at this man, I took one look at morning service and thought to myself you are probably freezing almost and how you even managed to say something without your teeth chattering is beyond me!! You Really All Earned Every cent of that paycheck!!You take care Judy and that part of the show still makes me cold brr ! 😉😃
Thanks Judy..yet again you've outdone yourself.. I left the US in 1985..so missed watching this reunion special on t.v. Will try to watch it . Happy Easter 🐇

After all these years I have started re-watching the “Waltons” and am enjoying it very much. I also like your explanation of the scenes. My TV server has a station and they have featured the “Waltons”. I am recording them. Thank you.
So happy to hear that.
Glad you were willing to go along for the ride :)
Just watched this special on easter sunday as part of a Walton weekend on Hallmark channel. Just loved it.
Wonderful!
That was so interesting, thank you Judy❣️ I love your channel, I'm so glad your doing this. Even more glad that I found your on here a couple years ago. 🙌 Hope you had a lovely and blessed Easter❤
Thank you so much!
I also noticed there is a scene where John-Boy (I think) is like I don't remember there being any twins in the family. They have just found out Janet is going to have twins and so I believe this is why this topic has come up. Anyway, it drives me crazy because I know that Jim-Bob had a twin!
You are correct.
I watched the TV movie yesterday on hallmark drama ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wonderful! Glad they showed them.
Yeah
I always wondered about the inconsistencies of the characters. Esp John Curtis & Cindy's absence. But in every program whether Walton's or some other you have to use your imagination. I love the Waltons. I've seen everyone of them several times. Thank you, Judy!
Happy to hear that.
I loved this episode. There's had been so many interesting things going on.Johnboy seemed so excited about becoming a dad.Janet wasn't sure about going into motherhood.Judy I loved when you always reached out to sick in any series.
So glad you enjoyed it.
Loved the house as much as the show, kinda sad it was a prop house. My other house love was the Little House on the Prairie home.
It always felt real to me in it’s own way.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you Judy. Even with the differences, it was a great episode.
Happy to hear that.
Hi Judy!
I wanted to wish you and your loved ones a very happy Easter! It is belated, but I am sure you did. This episode touched my heart deeply with all said and done with Olivia. I am always moved even today by the strength and love you all did for the true family unit and leaving your mark to touch other lives.
Thank you. So proud of this legacy we all share.
Wonderful details to hear about that where completely unbeknownst to me! ❤️🙂
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for sharing Behind the scene of the Walton's
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for sharing. "The First Casualty " is one of my favorites even though I get a lump in my throat every time I watch it.😢
We were glad to at least have all the cast we did have. But missed the ones not there.
That was one of my favorite episodes. Everyone had a storyline that was fun.
Thank you for sharing this about the house
You’re welcome.
A great part 2 segment Judy, very enjoyable. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure.
Judy - another great behind-the scenes segment. Thank you!
Two questions:
* Where or who starts the process of doing a reunion program? Does the network make the decision to do a reunion… does a series producer or director go to the network to make the request… something else?
* Where did you all stay when filming the Easter reunion? With cast members coming from different areas, I wondered if everyone was under one roof (so to speak) to make transportation easier.
Thanks as always!
Jim in Indiana
Great questions. I think it happens both ways that you mentioned. Most of the cast still lived in LA. I came in from Vancouver, Canada, so I stayed with my brother and his wife.
Wouldn’t another reunion be wonderful?
Yes! I've been waiting for that since A Waltons Easter. I always wanted to see the family come together to finally build the home on the mountain for Olivia. Admittedly, it would be very difficult now without John. But I would most certainly still watch.
Yes! A reunion would be wonderful with the same cast Michael, Richard, Jon, Judy, Mary, Eric, David, Kami and the girl that played Amiee Gorsey.
Yes, another reunion would be wonderful. I really love the family of the Waltons.
That would be fun.
Thank you Judy, I hope you had a blessed Easter.
Thank you, I did. I hope you did as well.
Thank you, I did too. 😊
❤ thank you so much ❤🎉
My pleasure.
I always enjoy these videos they are as I've said before treasures thank you so much for sharing them Judy
You are so welcome
Thank you Judy for sharing that it was interesting about the Easter episode I'll see you in the next one
Wonderful. Thank you.
I just watched this movie yesterday on TV. And I noticed the porch swing facing a different direction and some of the other changes you mentioned in the video. It was very interesting hearing you talk about the very things I was wondering about just last night. Thank you so much for sharing another fun video.
So glad this was helpful.
What line from the Waltons show you always say to yourself the most is one line from that show stands out?
Goodnight :)
😂🥰 I remember that goodnight jimbob,,,johnboy😂🙋👍.
Thanks for your memory of Waltons Easter...close to 68,000 subscribers 70k not for away...Patrick
Glad you enjoyed this. So grateful people are finding and enjoying my channel and subscribing.
Thanks for the video. The Waltons make do with what they have and is available. Sounds familiar.
Yes they do
Seeing that the cast all returned to me makes reunion specials truly special..especially ones with large casts such as The Waltons.
Thank you for the background information.
My pleasure.
merry easter moonlanding
lol 😳
This was really good. Very cool information. 👍🏼😘
Thank you so much.
Thank you Ms Judy. I hope you and yours had a nice Easter. Ms Michael Lenard passed away ? So sorry to hear that.
No, Michael is still very much alive. I just saw her last week.
Michael celebrated her birthday yesterday on Easter. Maybe that’s what you heard.
very interesting video judy
Glad you enjoyed it
Dear Judy,Hi! 😉😃
Glad you found this helpful.
Thanks Judy..yet again you've outdone yourself.. I left the US in 1985..so missed watching this reunion special on t.v. Will try to watch it . Happy Easter 🐇
Glad you enjoyed it.
Love the reunion specials thank you for talking about the house set I’ve always loved that place I wonder what’s in place where the old house set was
I believe an office building or parking lot now sits where the house was. 😢
Thank you, such wonderful memories❤
So glad.
Wonderful as usual love you Judy
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
@JudyNortan thanks for sharing this classic T V

Where did Toni go ? We saw her go into the house and saw the kids out side but didn’t see her inside the house.
Not sure - I’m guessing they didn’t want another person in the delivery room, so who knows :)
🥰
🥰
Thank you!
My pleasure.
