The most morally just characters in fallout have a staggering amount of super muties in their ranks. Prolly not Frank, but you can't mention super mutants without giving him an honorable mention
I mean the enclave was just ethically wrong. They had the right idea of resetting the wasteland by terraforming. Just sucks they wanted to include humans.
Maybe it’s because the only people who don’t go insane during the FEV transformation are people who are driven in some way. Fawkes was driven by the pursuit of knowledge, Horrigan by devotion to the Enclave, and Erickson by his love for dogs. We just meet more of the ones driven by good motives.
Erickson is probably my favorite character in fallout 4. He’s just like, so real. He feels different from any other NPC in the game, even “friendly” ones. He so polite and shy and apologetic. One time I was just walking around his camp and he was like “hey uh, you should have this” or something and gave me a whole ass ribeye steak, probably just cause he had too much and didn’t want it to go to waste.
@@mtndew4746 Aren't that many friendly mutants so you could probably guess a few of his favorites (Fawkes, Harold, Strong, Lily, even ghouls like Hancock, Raul, or Vault-Tec Rep).
If that were the case, then why does Dogmeat so adorably salute after Elder Maxson's speech? Dogmeat knows that the Brotherhood is the best solution for the Commonwealth.
Erickson would have been an great Supermutant companion. The problem with Strong simply is, he is basically the dumbest Supermutant in any Fallout game and such an wasted opportunity, especially against guys like Marcus, God and Dog and Fawkes.
I think that’s the whole point. He’s the first mutant companion that is actually like your typical super mutants in the wasteland. He’s one of my favourite companions personally.
I might be wrong but I think the bandana is blue because the dog that dogmeat was based on had the same colour of the bandana so it's also a Easter egg
Erickson helped with a lot of my posted builds. I gave Duke, Allegra, Champ, and Misha (first 3 are dogs, Misha is a Glowing Wolf) good homes at Taffington / Kingsport / BoS Airport / Murkwater.
Meanwhile we got Strong as a companion instead where if you finish his quest line he tries to kill you. This guy at least would be a worthy successor to Fawkes
Dogmeat is probably a radioactive mutant like the radstags and radroaches, he just doesn't look like a mutant (kinda like the Children of Atom), and he's probably a very weak psyker whose power is just having a human level intelligence.
Interesting lore tidbit, Erikson’s lips are malformed from the effects of FEV, and if he returns in a future game he may be wearing the leather straps we see on super mutants in Fallout 3 and New Vegas as he grows older
Except there wouldn't be tons of them as they would have been killed by the less intelligent brethren with only few and far between being able to escape.
@newbplaygames I wouldn't say more mindless, the guy who designed the mutants in 4 said in a reddit post like 2 weeks ago that he wanted them to be more human like than before but they didn't have the time to flesh them out.

One of the most awesome super mutants ever.
I would build a settlement near this guy with all settlers armed to the teeth in X01 and Gatling Lasers to protect this man at all costs.
Why does he sound like Jeff Bridges to me?
Cause the dude abides
He pines for the fjords.
Yeah, I met him, But I was using a dog meat changer mod (on ps4) and dogmeat was a fruggin deathclaw, And... He said "Nice dog". Yeah.... Dogmeat is a real god dog *looks at dogmeat, who be a deathclaw*
@@oliverascher213 Marcus is just a good dude who believed in the master, and now just wants to be left alone
I just got the dlc and ran into him I felt bad taking his stuff but I bought all the doggies and sent them to my base
Don’t feel bad, one of his lines of dialogue when he’s just walking around is “take anything you like”
He speaks so intelligently, like a normal dude.
That's because he's one of the super mutants who didn't get their brain function reverted to neanderthal IQ
My first play throught I stumbled apon him dogmatic wore that bandana till I restarted
didn’t know about this guy before but i just gave my dogmeat a blue bandana as well :)
HE PUTTING DOGMEAT ON THE SET
Erickson is probably my favorite character in fallout 4. He’s just like, so real. He feels different from any other NPC in the game, even “friendly” ones. He so polite and shy and apologetic. One time I was just walking around his camp and he was like “hey uh, you should have this” or something and gave me a whole ass ribeye steak, probably just cause he had too much and didn’t want it to go to waste.
Dog meat is best companion
I like him 5th friendliest mutant I've now met. 😊
Which 4 more friendly muties have you met?
@@mtndew4746 Aren't that many friendly mutants so you could probably guess a few of his favorites (Fawkes, Harold, Strong, Lily, even ghouls like Hancock, Raul, or Vault-Tec Rep).
@@mtndew4746Strong, Marcus, Virgil, Neil, and maybe Fawkes?

@@normanmai7865 Set is a nice ghoul too.
Why do I have a feeling that strong should get to meet him. I feel like he would try to educate strong 😂
He's awesome he would of made an excellent companion
Would have*

Haha a bandan.. DOGMEATS CRIPPIN?!
That crip walk on point cuh
there's a conspiracy that Dogmeat is a synth lol Sent by the institute to guide you. I don't care tho because he's such a good boy.
The series explained that they're genetically perfected dogs with trackers.
If that were the case, then why does Dogmeat so adorably salute after Elder Maxson's speech?
Dogmeat knows that the Brotherhood is the best solution for the Commonwealth.
@@dragonranger8456 based dogmeat
He’s made by the enclave tho watch the tv series
@@giabaonn600 no, he's not. The Fallout TV show takes place after Fallout 4
Dogmeat, Crippin and Drippin 😢
A true reminder of a peaceful being, not someone that can’t do great harm, but someone that can but chooses not to.
Strong is smart for a regular dumdum type supermutant
Erickson is the top G
I might be wrong but I think the bandana is blue because the dog that dogmeat was based on had the same colour of the bandana so it's also a Easter egg
Eriskon has the look of a viking berserkir but has the calm ans collective behavior of a monk.
I wish he would be a recurring character or have more intelligent type mutants like him.
Erickson helped with a lot of my posted builds. I gave Duke, Allegra, Champ, and Misha (first 3 are dogs, Misha is a Glowing Wolf) good homes at Taffington / Kingsport / BoS Airport / Murkwater.
I like his dog sanctuary
Also like buying various new pets for my settlements. There good guard dogs, and very good for morale.
I CAN HAVE A CRIP DOG MEAT 😮😮
I bet his voice actor is a big guy with a huge beard. And like 3 or more BIG Dogbros.
Bruh Bethesda plz let us invite this man to a settlement
Meanwhile we got Strong as a companion instead where if you finish his quest line he tries to kill you. This guy at least would be a worthy successor to Fawkes
No?
Provides 100% proof that dogmeat is a synth since a super mutant who is able to live very long hasn't seen a dog like dogmeat.
Well, do synrgs take stimpaks?, they don't, i believe so anyway, dogmeat is just immortal
How about every other game... most of which have dogs like dogmeat. I think the reason he hasn’t seen one is because he’s on an irradiated island.
@@The_mrbob idk
Take into account he may be native to far harbor, the only dogs are the ones that already were on the Island before the war
Dogmeat is probably a radioactive mutant like the radstags and radroaches, he just doesn't look like a mutant (kinda like the Children of Atom), and he's probably a very weak psyker whose power is just having a human level intelligence.
Notice how is name isn’t just a noun or adjective (i.e Swan and Strong)
To be fair swan is his last name.
Edgar Swan was Swan's human name
Even Super Mutants cannot escape the condition of "CUTE CREATURE. MUST PET."
Interesting lore tidbit, Erikson’s lips are malformed from the effects of FEV, and if he returns in a future game he may be wearing the leather straps we see on super mutants in Fallout 3 and New Vegas as he grows older
Fallout needs more Super Mutants like this. They're so much more interesting as complex characters with feelings and not just mindless canon fodder.
Except there wouldn't be tons of them as they would have been killed by the less intelligent brethren with only few and far between being able to escape.
easy coast super mutant is more mindless than the one in west coast
@newbplaygames I wouldn't say more mindless, the guy who designed the mutants in 4 said in a reddit post like 2 weeks ago that he wanted them to be more human like than before but they didn't have the time to flesh them out.
@@ethanm.4201 nah they just retconned FO3 mutants
