lived in the apartment complex next to this. checked it out over a decade ago when in high school. super creepy. could of been an awesome set for horror movie if not falling apart and all the chemicals. the park was creepy. the tunnels were real. the spray paint made it more creepy in spots it would say you die here. found some cool binoculars and newspaper with tigers winning championship in the very top of the building like an attic. pool area and gym or auditorium were creeepy. then we got lost in the basement and started freaking out till we found a window and ran away. police always surveyed area and gave trespassing tickets. all allegedly
At the 3:00 min mark, the guy said that it was one of the last state run hospitals by the late 1990s and would shut down in 2003. That's not accurate at all because this is exactly what the place looked like around 1996 or 1997 the one and only time that I went. It had definitely been shutdown by the mid 90s.
Nonsense. I worked there until 1997 when I was hurt badly bay a patient and forced into a medical retirement and there were still several hundred patients there.
@@exploretheabandoned yeah me and my buddies use to go there in 03/04, a lot of buildings still had power, also have a postcard from the "Northville Regional Psychiatric Hospital center for emotionally distributed children"
When I went in 2017 I Saw GIANT SIGN DEMOLITION PRODJECT SET BY NORTHVILLE CHARTER TOWNSHIP next to it ADAMO COMPANY 😮😮😮😮 had Construction Vehicles On Thee Groundz 🤕🥺@@exploretheabandoned
@@MIurbexI remember seeing the library and every library card was left and one point we found a bunch of patient info on why they got put into the ward. The hospital was the best place I’ve explored yet, been there about 10 times

Was just there yesterday. Would love to go exploring with some more people. If you didn’t know there’s an underground area too.
I do not recommend exploring the underground area, it’s terribly decayed. But there is a tunnel leading off the hospitals property
My brother and his friends explored these in the 90’s
What an awesome place! It's in the process of being demolished now? Man I better get up there quick to see it before it's gone!
Creepy place even when it was open and I use to deliver soft drinks there.
I live right down the road, they have construction workers, security, cameras and motion censors now
And the tunnels are through one of the buildings on the far south east of the property
I went here in 2003-2004, never went into the main building though cause power was still on and it was patrolled

@@Tlyna1952shit bro are you okay?
It was closed in 2003 and google is free, search up the name of the ward and bam. No need for the comment you made
Yes it was because we were going there in 95
No way. The absolute latest that I could have explored there was December of '97.
I thought this was demolished. Is it still up?
That asylum's seen better days, only a 50% chance I'll go there to do a puppet show
I think that machine before your time could of been an old dictation machine or an intercom system, like seen on reruns of Perry Mason.
Definitely could be you don’t see those very often.
3:50 SID LIVES
This is where dte was putting people fridges for years instead of acually recycling them😂
Any cops or alarms to be aware of? Planning on going soon.
I believe it’s an active demolition site and they have cameras and possibly motion detectors that are monitored now.
Don’t go . Cop is always posted up there . Me and the boys got caught . They give fines
Don’t go at night **^^
@@exploretheabandoned You’re right
Don’t go there’s workers there 24/7
It wasnt for a security guard......it was a nurses station....?
No longer gown thrown down
this place has been demolished for years wtf are these comments, is this Northville Regional Psychiatric Hospital? NRPH?
They demolished part of the campus including the main tower in 2017, but when we went in 2021 there were still about 10 buildings left.
