People thank Jesus for a lot of things. I thank Black Churches for creating music this good in the name of Jesus. Even more genius than Jack's mashing these two people up is how IN TIME both of these people are. You have to stand in awe of that sense of time.
@@k-leb4671 Yes, the entire VULF TWO series is edited. He told the story of how an accident in Ableton inspired him to make these on Leo Sidran's podcast
Ethel Caffie Austin never received the recognition she so deserved on a larger scale for being such a skillful and anointed gospel musician and also singer! She's one of the finest gospel musicians I believe I've ever heard!
For me she is right there with Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder in terms of just chordal mysticism meeting with this impossible mechanical rhythm and she has a lot of frill and flare and plays flawlessly up and down backs and forth there is not a piece of music she couldn't manage on piano.
absolutely fabulous!!!! certainly feel that they both were in some zone that transcended time.. a stunning and so joyous dance... loved it !!!! brilliant work Mr S
This video is mesmerizing. Aside from the masterful synchronicity, the supreme confidence of both performers and the seeming back and forth between them keeps me coming back
I am not sure what I’m watching but I love it. Bernard is tops. My favorite is on the Making of Aja when he talks about the recording experience and of course, The Purdie Shuffle.
I know Jack is on to more important projects these days, but I really appreciate these mashups and I would love it if he squeaked out a couple now and again.

Hillsong ain’t gospel
@@generalkenobi6869 Correct, not even close. Not sure how anyone could say that Hillsong ruined anything related to Gospel music.
Jack might have edited them slightly to keep them in time across the whole video for all we know.

I’m a Muslim and you have no idea how much joy this gives my soul
Bernard’s playing is just like someone cooking. He just gradually adds more and more to make something that tastes amazing.
