This is so much more helpful then the vids just talking with slides. Please do more of these and a whole series. Hearing you talk while observing things makes it much easier.
Tlasokamati for sharing Yan! I also practice my Nahuatl while on hikes. I love that word you used, teyoh, and also miak tetl to show the flexibility of the Nahuatl language - both make 100% sense!
Thank you, these practical & comprehensive videos are super helpful for learning! (especially from the other side of the globe heh) I love all your videos so far :)
This is most helpful ! I can understand much more than I thought I would! Not all of it but more words here and there than I expected. This is very helpful this helps more than I can say and thank you for this. Please, if you're willing to do more? Please do. Thank you Tlaskamati welimiak Yan
Pregunta, if someone fluent in Nahuatl wanted to learn another Uto Aztecan language how difficult do you think it would be? For example Tarahumara, Apache, Comanche?
Well youd have a head start but it would still be learning whole new vocabulary set, but some words will sound similar and some grammar will be similar
Tla is used to give a sense that the environment is pretty, yehyektsin by itself is for a specific object or person. Same tla in weather words Eheka (theres wind in one specific spot) Tlaeheka (the weather is windy)
I'd love it if you did a similar video around the house like this! This was great and got me practicing basic sentence structures, Tlaskamati Yan!

Great video! I have a grammar question. Why did you add "tla" to the word "tlayehyectzin" in the sentence, "Tlahuel tlayehyectzin nican."
Tla is used to give a sense that the environment is pretty, yehyektsin by itself is for a specific object or person.
Same tla in weather words
Eheka (theres wind in one specific spot)
Tlaeheka (the weather is windy)
is this a "general" language , or were there many for different regions ?
Both, but in older times a form called Classical Nahuatl was the most general
Hi if you can do me a favor and translate this words for me in Nahuatl.
English: Pure Love
Spanish: Amor Puro
How do you say those words in Nahuatl?
San tetlasohtlalistli
Is tlasollo related to tlasolli?
Yup! Tlasolli (filth) + yoh , (covered in)
Then the sound changes y to l
Piyali nowampoh!
Can I put the words masewalli+mekatl together to create the word masewalmeka just like chichimeka?
Yes masealmekatl , with the tl. ... chichimecatl is composed differently tho,
Its chichiman + mekatl
