Hi Dan i used to have a Taiwanese girlfriend. I was with her a couple of years. We met here in the UK she was a university student. I was blinded by her beauty. Unfortunately she turned out to be a narcissist. All she wanted from me was gifts not money. I missed the red flags. Lack of empathy, no interest in me as a person. I was just a supply to her. I understand that most tourists only get a chance to holiday for 1 or 2 weeks and head to Nana, Pattaya or Phuket and that's fine but as a tourist you need to understand you are entering a distorted reality,
Thailand is a huge country and is not representative of these areas, people are getting scammed online and over the phone in their own country's so when your putting your head in the lions mouth in a face to face situation, if you don't have clear intention and resolve your probably going to get it bitten off.
You can't blame the girls, it's a transaction service, both parties are looking for a pay off, what suprises me is, you wouldn't be looking for love in the back streets of a red light district back home but that goes out the window when half a dozen Leo's pass the esophagus.

It’s not all men. It’s men of low value and no impulse control. These are guys who have made a lifetime habit of bad and self destructive decisions. Some may be vulnerable from a recent divorce or breakup and make themselves easy targets. Most have never had any success with women and the false attention and easy sex with a young girl way above their pay grade overwhelms their good senses, and they can’t distinguish between sincere attention and a prostitute. These are also guys who’ve never been considered wealthy but all of a sudden they are made to believe they are the the big guy in town and he starts making it rain with an empty bucket! It’s not hard to understand. You never meet guys who have their act together getting themselves in these problems.
I couldn't agree more. As soon as you interact with those women in the bar, you can just feel they are not seriously interested in you in any way. And thats absolutely fine. But for me, this feeling is what makes bar girls and paid love in general absolutely uninteresting and unsatisfying. Every step of the way you are with person who rather wants to be somewhere else or with somebody else and you can just feel it how they talk to you, write with you, kiss you and so on. The best way (in my opinion) is to tell those girls from the beginning you are not interested taking them home, not interested in the touchy stuff and just want to have a good time. This means having a good talk, maybe play some pool or their other games where they always win, even spend them some money on drinks if you have the financial capability. I still spend so much less going out a night there than in my home country . But my experience is, when you threat those women with some respect, you can really have a good and fun time in the bars.

As a 1st time tourist I unterstood very quickly bar girls don't give a shyte about you. It took me 3 days to realize. Now there are guys don't understand this is more than 3 months they have maturity or intelligence issues.
We have been fed the idea that there is a woman out there for us and we will marry and live happily ever after. Some guys are desperate for that so they fall for the tricks, or they put up with nonsense because they are afraid to lose her, not realizing there's another woman right around the corner.

I’ve been travelling to Thailand for years now ..I have never been to soi cowboy or Nana Plaza..I was taken to Pattaya by my Thai friends for a birthday and a laugh,we sat in the hot tuna bar… The degenerates in Pattaya is a sight too see… When I’m in BKK I stay away from the tourist areas just hang out with Thai’s playing football,,training and hanging with friends and family…. Good times… For all the guys coming to Thailand too escape western woman… the girls in the bar areas are on a different level… you will lose every time…

If you want to be left alone in the bars. Learn to speak thai. And speak thai with the bar girls. They will either not be interested in you. Or if you want a quick transaction they will more than likely not want to pursue you as a sponsor after a night with them
Agreed, whenever I go to a bar in a tourist destination here I always speak Thai as clearly as I can when ordering or asking for anything and then they normally leave you alone and watch you from a distance 😁

Ok Dan you doing great. When I first went to Thailand I got chatting to a guy from Manchester he said to me it us against them. I did not understand what he ment. I do now. If the Thai girls say your got a good heart that means your spending to much money on them. Better being called a cheap Charlie. But at the end of the day they are good people I love them.

Don’t buy something that is not in your name / control in a foreign country, period. You can invest that $$ and rent. This way, you have an escape hatch. You know how you know that ‘she is different’? when you take your last breath and she is there. Then, she can have your money. Until then, be safe, be smart, keep your wealth. On a side note, my ex who was French told me ‘if you love me, you’ll buy me an expensive bag’. I said if I buy you that bag, I will fill it with rocks and smack you across the head with it. Buying a bag doesn’t represent love. Buying a woman things to make / keep her happy says a lot about her and you. Best of luck.

I also think there is a lot of damage done to the mindset/confidence of men from different failed western relationships which makes them susceptible to this approach. I agree. Most women from a particular country will want local men. This is natural and what's expected. The majority of the few who want foreigners are only interested in a better quality of life and not necessarily in love with the foreigner. This will leave a very small pool of Thai women who is genuinely interested in a farang.

Hi Dan and great video again 🙂 I'm not sure I agree with you on the home security element in Thailand. I have never been to the UK and cannot compare it to that but I do know in Australia there are places where many people still feel safe and leave the homes unlocked at night. These are typically country areas, farms and small towns etc. My observations in Thailand that most houses who can afford security even in the country (village) areas do implement it. It is common to see bricked walls with broken glass mortared into the top of the brickwork, large iron gates with spikes or barbed wire on it. Yes Thailand is very safe but theft is very real in all places there. My family secure there buffaloes every night and also in the rice harvest season that have small sleeping shacks (lean to's) near the rice fields to guard their harvest at night. My Thai brother in law who had an unsecured house in the village was murdered in his bed by would be thieves a few years ago. He was a good family man without any vices to the best of my knowledge. So yes, Thailand is a safe place compared to many others but still you need to always take precautions.

I just got back from an 8 month trip and I stayed right next to Soi 6 Pattaya most of the time.
The key to staying out of trouble in Thailand is to maintain a celibate or a semi celibate lifestyle whilst placing a high $ or baht figure next to your relationship services as a man. Claim to be a male sex worker. The locals will then avoid any dealings with you because they are looking at you as the financial provider whilst you're looking at them in the same way. Thus no deal can be made.
When you go to Thailand to work you see behind the curtain to the whole business side of the red light districts and you become very aware of exactly whats going on. It's all about money. The transfer of money from the western man -->the Thais.

It's the depression everyone seems to have that makes you feel depressed also, I went back to the UK about 2 years ago for a couple of months and all my friends and family seemed super depressed 🫥 the crime and poverty had also got worse, in Manchester I walked from Victoria train station to Piccadilly train station and the amount of homeless people was unbelievable compared to what it was like over 6 years ago 😔

Many guys coming for holidays and also many expats, gravitate to these areas and probably most don't have intent to travel there to fall in love with a prostitute. But they do. The SIMPS will come unstuck as Thai working girls will exploit your weaknesses. Of course there are bad girls all over Thailand. But good ones as well. More good ones away from prostitute areas.
Saying all that, I have enjoyed Pattaya. It has everything for convenience, is cheaper to live than other tourist areas and not too far from Bangkok for occassional travel there.

Great presentation. However you did not mention the group of guys who just come and look for fun; pay for aerobics with one instructor and then move to another. Essentially pay for services rendered and no more. Looking for love is risky all around the word; even if two people do fall in love without one wanting to exploit the other after some time they get used to each other, life stresses happen and about 50 percent end up divorced and many of the others live desperate lives. Better to keep relationships transactional; you pay for services rendered and both parties feel they got what they wanted not unlike buying a nice pair of hiking shoes.

The weather is give and take, in UK summer you can at least go out and don't be drenched in sweat after 5 minutes and feel like you just entered a sauna, also don't have 3 months of just horrible air pollution. Cannot comment on theft but in Thailand I've seen a lot of houses that have fences and walls with spikes or even barbed wire and prison bars on all windows, I don't think they are there for no reason. I can honestly state I have never felt safer than I do here, I never lock my motorbike, I rarely lock my door 🚪 but I do live in the countryside, if I lived in a busy City Centre in Thailand I wouldn't do this, Summer is great in England when we get a decent one 👌 but for the rest of the year it's pretty miserable, I do miss being able to walk everywhere though because like you said if you walk anywhere for 5 minutes you are sweating 🥵 you have to adopt to the Thai way of living and go for walks and get out and about early in the morning or when the sun goes down 👍

This is not a true story as you spoke of England this scenario would make you appreciate Thailand . As an American I on occasion would read the Europe version of The Stars and Stripes newspaper. One time they described RAF Sculthorpe as one of the most deteriorated and dilapidated joint RAF/USAF bomber bases from the Cold War. Suppose the Ministry of Defence leased a building as an inn, a person checks in on a Sunday evening in January and he is the only person in the building, the owner went to London, the nearest pub is 2km away, there is a heavy rain that turns into fog,the only thing on the TV is a 1949 black and white plot less movie. The inspiration comes from lonely nights in Newmarket, I am sure the same thing could be experienced in Clinton Oklahoma, USA. Enjoy your content.

Gonna say I've met and dated some very good honest woman both in pattaya and in Patong. Not all Thai women are the same and it's really not hard to get the measure of a Thai woman very quickly but sadly there are some gullible falang fools around who will get exploited, usually punching well above their weight!
If you are buying land in your girlfriend or wifes name, why not just make a rental contract for that land before you pay!? Pay for the land and rent it for 30 years from your girlfriend...

Bar girls are all the same. The reason - if you don't know yet - is that they are for money in the bar you walk in. These girls are there because of their parents and culture which means they have to support their families. With that in mind, if someone who is a bar girl told you “I am different”, would you believe that?
What about Thai girls who are not working in bars? They can be different. But. You must dig deep, not rush and get the know the girl and FAMILY.
However, although you do your homework, do your best to check their backgrounds, and take your time to know your Thai girlfriend, it can still end up a disaster, if you are UNLUCKY or if you don't recognize the small warning signals your girlfriend gives you. PS. Small correction, Dan. As a foreigner, you can put also the house under your name in Thailand. You can also legally get a lifetime land usufruct although the land goes under your Thai girlfriend's name. When you use a lawyer WITH your girlfriend (or wife), highly likely SHE is not a scammer because scammers never want to sign any of these papers. That means you have better odds to have a long or lifetime relationship, and not lose your money.

I'm a foreigner who lives in the UK. My take on it is no country is perfect. There are pros and cons to everything. Life is what you make of it. The Uk is cold and rainy for many months but during summer, you tend to enjoy the beauty of the country.

In the event that they split he will usually pay maintenance that will become the mother’s decision as to how / where it’s allocated, including to a new ‘husband.’ Or in the event that the forang / thai lady and child relationship continues he will support them, on occasion including another child from a former, usually Thai, relationship for 18 years or more which for most of those older men will be for the remainder of their lives.

Ahhh I misunderstood you, apologies, lots of women all over the world use a baby to trap men, generate an income, control men... When I spoke about my own situation taking care of my son after I split from his mum it was unbelievable how many single father's contacted me that lived in Thailand and the mothers had disappeared and moved onto another foreign man or just simply gave them the baby and disappeared 😔 I don't understand how any man or woman could leave their child behind never to be seen again !!
I recently saw a show on youtube where the film crew was allowed into the police forces section where they go after online scammers. The officer in charge showed an A4 piece of paper that was on every desk of the team of scammers. It was a list of different strategies to be used when they had a potential victim nibbling at The Bait. Depending on the particular scam the A4 was available for that genre. For instance, a lonely hearts type the 'Bullit Point' list had a smattering of sad stories to pick from and deploy, it also featured several ways to flatter the victim and on it went but I am sure you all have clicked to what I said, it's pretty simple to do and I am sure that the girls we are talking about are all well versed in the 'scam' and how to pull on the strings of some dopey old mort with blue bollocks, who once arriving in Bangkok his biggest concern is to not have a heart attack when he gets in the room with the lady, just taking off her clothes and him seeing her young and toned body after years of seeing a body like the Playboy cartoon of the horny old granny, her with the vertical nungers, in his bedroom at home.
