His daughter was likely in on it too, something else Russell mentioned was that he was scammed $1800 on roosters- which was a reference to “chicken-fight” aka rooster fighting which is another thriving illegal business/racket in Hawaii. The fact that Russell is engaged in rooster fighting tells you everything that you need to know about what kind of guy he is

My mom fell to this scam around 2018. It ruined my family and now my parents are divorced. This all happened on the island of Maui. My father who is the money maker gave my mom around a total of over 150k+. This was due to an inheritance scam, now my dad has to work at the age of 73 :’(

From watching this channel, I feel that there are times where I would critique a bit, but not say anything. So I thought I would take some time to share my thoughts.
So mostly from this video, I think the problem was that Art mentioned $150,000 too quickly and that Ashton came in too early, which already brought up the defenses for the suspect.
I know you two have a very good dynamic but I think the start of the conversation is one of the most important moments of the whole interaction.
If there was a chance to talk a little more to the suspect more like a conversation. Like you're just at first just delivering something, like it's a job and you can casually ask, "is this for work?"
And then like pretend have more paper work like you're multitasking and just ask a little more simple questions that you know normally he would back peddle and forget everything (including speaking English).
You guys still do an amazing job but just thought I would lend my observation and suggestion as a spectator.

First off, great work as always guys! But can I take a second to freak out a bit because I have been a fan for YEARS but never thought I would see you all in my neck of the woods! I saw your post on Instagram about being on island but I didn't think you guys would come to literally the town I grew up in (the place they filmed is actually not Honolulu, but a smaller town about 30 mins from it on the west side of the island). The neighborhood and the shopping center y'all stopped in were unmistakable!! Absolutely insane to see something like this hit so close to home, literally, it's so surreal. Anyway, keep up the great work!

No legitimate sweepstakes or lottery would ever ask you t pay any "taxes" up front to claim a prize. Even IF taxes were owed on a prize, they'd be deducted before any prize was paid out or paid for by the winner at a later date to the real taxman.

They never could get to the next step. After the mule gets caught they never could explain what they need to do next.
There a lot of scammers who are on Facebook and they are saying they got money from pch and other scams about government money that makes me very sad because I don't have any money for anything and they keep bugging me and bullying me as well

Another mule taken down. I think he knew he was involved in something shady and that he had done it before. He wasn't very convincing in fact, he's a bad liar and actor. One thing I do like is Art and Ashton do try to help these mules at first but Russel is one that doesn't want to be helped. As for the scammer, his operation has been disrupted for the moment, but he'll probably get back into it and find new victims. It's almost like whack a mole, but that doesn't mean we should give up fighting. Keep at it Trilogy!

Hey guys. I've watched most of your videos. I have long wanted to tell you great job I have just always wanted to suggest that you guys get an ex street guy on the team. Not proud to say it but I was cardboard on concrete (NO COUCH SURFING. NO ROOF. NO FAMILY) homeless for many years, strung out criminal prostitute scammer galore. Ive been off the street 10 years myself but i think you guys could benefit so much from having someone like that on the team. Like if I or someone like me were standing there with you next to Russell, the first time he put it on mute id have grabbed his phone from him and say "hey asshole, what the hell are you doing? Youre trying to play us. Cut that shit out, last chance. Play around again your going to the cops with your boy." Or something to that effect. It would make for great content, help you guys so much, ive seen lots of your videos and thought to myself at times that stuff was going on that only an experienced criminal scumbag would realize.. i dunno just wanted to help with a suggestion great work guys keep it up best wishes.
