Well, some people are, at their worst, insecure, easily angered, depressed, stressed, controlling or stubborn, things I will gladly bear with, if they are good friends, otherwise. And when I get what I see, that is fine, too. I had awful people as friends. But I knew they were awful when I befriended them and they never acted like their awfulness was something good or noble.
There's no such thing as a 'feminist company'. Capitalism isn't compatible with feminism.

@Michael Freed while I'm fairly sure you're a Russian bot, I also have to respond in good faith just in case: while in an ideal world everyone who learns about feminism can talk about its nuances at length, not everyone has the education or the time to go in depth about every aspect of what's an enormous and complex system of values. Even if your average Joe doesn't know what feminism is beyond its most basic tenets - gender equality and respecting women, for example, it's better that someone knows what's right about it and put that into practice even if they can't, say, explain how it developed historically, how it has influenced different parts of the world, etc. It's just good for people to know what's right when it comes to daily life. And know when feminism, which has basically good tenets, is twisted into something not aligned with what it's ideally supposed to be.

I bought the book "Men Explain Things to Me," but needed help finding it in store. The male salesperson helped me but then asked if I had seen some Beyonce feminist video. Just reminded of that while watching this. Glad it "changed his life" though. 🤣
I had a job interview that was a little bit like this. The guy had everybody take a personality test, which can be valuable. But this meant everything. He was honest about the fact that if you get a certain personality, you just wouldn’t be considered. Period. Basically, he said he like to be in charge, and the people that work for him need to be people who didn’t like to be in charge or question. And knowing yourself is OK to a point. But he had no plans to try to improve himself even a little. And he told people not to cheat, because it wouldn’t work. But since the other personality types are so much less likely to endlessly please others, they weren’t going to be calling back anyway.
So, basically feminism is bullcrap but the police are always stupid when man are acussed by woman of assault or rape when right in the broadlight they did nothing or the woman is the one that did it and she lies and gets what she wants. So, get a camera shove it up your brain and record all shit.

As a gay dude who just wants actual equality (not more, not less, just the same) I see this kind of thing a LOT. With the best example being Gay clubs: Yes, it is annoying when you're trying to pull and seem to be the only guy in the gay club who's actually gay. Yes, it would be great if while they were 'just like, really digging the lighthearted gay culture' they could dig the casual hookup part too rather than think they're progressive for wearing something pink. Yes, it would be awesome if all of these people who enjoy gay culture would show it by ACTUALLY VOTING IN FAVOUR OF OUR BASIC RIGHTS. But, NO, the solution is not to create "Gay ONLY clubs" as I've heard a lot of people suggest over the years - because if you're allowed to have gay only clubs, straight people should be allowed straight only clubs (equality, see) and basic representation informs us that since (on average) 1 in 10 people are gay or bisexual (or, at least, will say they are on a survey) 90% of the world could be a straight only club and bisexuals would either be the only means of communication between the two sides, or rejected by both and given their own island.

@@Ttoby89 It means 'like a boss', boss being from Dutch 'baas', which meant 'uncle or kinsman' and came to be used to refer to a supervisor or foreman in New Amsterdam. Hence it's meaning to refer to a person in charge of a business. Why on earth would it be 'inaccurate' or 'poor word choice'?

This is one of the best CH videos in a long time. It's on YoutUbe, so, unfortunately, it will probably be bombarded with neckbeards saying things like "Feminism in a nutshell lol" but the message is actually pro-feminist. Calling yourself a feminist doesn't mean anything, you have to put in the work and be a positive role model. I'm a feminist myself so it's good to see ill-intended bandwagon jumpers called out.
@Michael Freed But I would argue that feminism does have meaning, and those other people who have different definitions are either listening to anti-feminist propaganda or have ill intentions. The person in this video, for example, has ill intentions. She wants to be rich and treat people like shit, so she uses feminism as a cloaking mechanism. Most feminists who have done the reading and who actually care about feminism will give you similar, although admittedly sometimes a little different, answers.

Sure, language warps people's thinking about things, and if that's what you're trying to say then I concede it to be true. I'm really not trying to be combative here, I merely thought you were saying that feminism is worthless because the meaning of the word changes from person to person. If that wasn't your intent then I apologize, and even if it were your intent it's an interesting point to think about, though I'm not sure I agree with it.

I said no and he went on about how it changed his life, yadda yadda. I finally looked it up, and it was a video of Beyonce with text of the most generic feminist things ever. Just reminded of that while watching this. Glad it "changed his life" though. 🤣

I had a job interview that was a little bit like this. The guy had everybody take a personality test, which can be valuable. But this meant everything. He was honest about the fact that if you get a certain personality, you just wouldn’t be considered. Period.
Basically, he said he like to be in charge, and the people that work for him need to be people who didn’t like to be in charge or question. And knowing yourself is OK to a point. But he had no plans to try to improve himself even a little.
And he told people not to cheat, because it wouldn’t work. But since the other personality types are so much less likely to endlessly please others, they weren’t going to be calling back anyway.

As a gay dude who just wants actual equality (not more, not less, just the same) I see this kind of thing a LOT. With the best example being Gay clubs: Yes, it is annoying when you're trying to pull and seem to be the only guy in the gay club who's actually gay. Yes, it would be great if while they were 'just like, really digging the lighthearted gay culture' they could dig the casual hookup part too rather than think they're progressive for wearing something pink. Yes, it would be awesome if all of these people who enjoy gay culture would show it by ACTUALLY VOTING IN FAVOUR OF OUR BASIC RIGHTS. But, NO, the solution is not to create "Gay ONLY clubs" as I've heard a lot of people suggest over the years - because if you're allowed to have gay only clubs, straight people should be allowed straight only clubs (equality, see) and basic representation informs us that since (on average) 1 in 10 people are gay or bisexual (or, at least, will say they are on a survey) 90% of the world could be a straight only club and bisexuals would either be the only means of communication between the two sides, or rejected by both and given their own island.
