  • There’s a difference between experiencing anxiety and having an anxiety disorder: feelings of nervousness or restlessness will go away, but sufferers of anxiety disorders get nearly no break from their symptoms. Do you struggle with anxiety every day, but it feels like the people around you don't understand what you're going through? Do you feel isolated and alone in your situation? In this video, we're going to talk about the struggles people with anxiety can relate to, to remind you that you're not alone and that many other people who are struggling understand what it's like to deal with an anxiety disorder!
If you relate to this video but you're not sure about the differences between normal anxiety and an anxiety disorder, we also have a video on the differences between anxiety and GAD, Generalize Anxiety Disorder: • 5 Differences Between ...
Disclaimer: This video is not meant to diagnose or treat any mental illness, but we hope it can be informative and relatable nonetheless.

      Does anyone have this
      Reverse law of attraction??
      ...
It's basically, what u imagine will never happen but EXACTLY opposite to that happens 😭..
You probably may not believe me... I didn't believe myself either until I did some experiments and found out it's true...
I've searched many time, and only found out that it's called reverse law of attraction....
I even used this reverse law of attraction for my benifits.. like example: once I didn't do homework and I was all anxious and thinking all bad cases... And teacher didn't come that day.
Not only this but many, Please trust me.. I ain't dumb😭
TELL ME IM NOT ALONE PLEASE..
𝗜 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗟𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗚𝗨𝗬𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗔 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦.
I wanna take situations normal too, when I was anxious about smth and my friends weren't about that same thing... I feel soo envy for them😭... I wanna think positive too
Is it silly?😐 I came back to edit this cause my mind told that ppl will think I'm silly

    1. You fret and worry over small descions
    2. Which comes first, anxiety or sleep disruption?
    3. The worst case scenarios always seem more likely then they are
    4. You have no clue if others can sense your anxiety
    5. You can literally worry yourself sick
    6. Self doubt slows you down socially
    7. You find it hard to stay focused
8.yes you can have anxiety about anxiety
To everyone who has felt these things, who has struggled with these things, who has tried their best to keep going even when it all feels for nothing. Remember this: don't believe you're alone and hopeless, no matter how terrifying and defeated it all seems, cno matter how little you can believe these words. Thing will get better, maybe not today, tomorrow, next, maybe not for a long time, no one know, but things will get better, some way somehow, some day, it that is not an encouraging thought, I don't know what is. But even so, keep on, cause this is not the end. Probably won't be for a long time.

I’m tired of worrying about everything,I’m tired of being tired all the time, I’m tired of not sleeping, I’m tired of overthinking everything, I’m tired of thinking all my friends are going to die. All I want is for me to get a sense of control over my anxiety. I just want it all to stop. All of my anxiety, all of my pain, all of my self harm urges, all of my suicidal thoughts. I just want it all to stop. I really hate my anxiety.

I here suffer from generalized anxiety disorder where i suffer from delusions to wanting to avoid everything to prevent any type of thinking but you know what i woke up today and realized i really need to change as you will for sure too 😃 . I mean it all starts with yourself having to cope with yourself love yourself and then you will realize that was nothibg to worry about because you always feel its your fault always and having delusions but i promise you
You will be better . This is a battle that you must win . Never give up it all starts within yourself 🥰

The feeling is indeed overwhelming. Sometimes you are not getting the right tools that is helping for you. Maybe try to find an other therapist or method. If you have the tools, you have to actively work on yourself. I tried breathing techniques and letting go of the idea of control. Also writing daily positive affirmations, taking walks in nature and listen to positive/ motivation music helped me a lot. Maybe it helps you. Just never give up trying to find your right tools. It takes time and acceptance plays a big role. Enjoy the little things, find humor in you fears and continously breathe. You can do great things and work towards your new positive self.

You've made it this far carrying all of that heaviness. It is possible for you to achieve peace in your mind. Think of your mind as a full piece of luggage. You have to take one thing out at a time and put it in its correct place before you can go back and take out more things. You can take out one problem from your mind by finding a solution to it or deciding to throw it out if it is causing unnecessary anxiety. Also learn from your past mistakes and forgive yourself so that you can move on from it. I hope this helped. :) You CAN do it!

I cried myself to sleep just last night, and it was the worst feeling ever: rewatching and reliving all the tiniest little details of whatever the frick had happened throughout the day, overanalyzing them to try and find some sense that is totally other than reality. Grinding my teeth trying to overcome nausea.
The damned "but what if?" that lingers in your head.
      Shoosh.

I have tips for dealing with Emetophobia!!
    1. Suck on some ice
    2. Sit with your back turned to the toilet. It gives me the safety of being by the toilet while I feel sick but I’m not staring (and smelling) down the toilet and making me feel worse
    3. Touch wood. The superstition “touch wood” has helped so much!! I used to go to sleep rubbing the wooden nose of “McBaa” a wooden sheep that belonged to my mum.
    4. Stimorol wild cherry flavoured gum. You have to find the right him flavour for you though. And don’t do what I did and start chewing 1 pack of gum every day.
    5. Eating thinly sliced apple. I don’t know why it helps me, but it does!
    6. Sipping a drink. I’ve done it with water, Ice tea, apple juice, and it helps most of the time. Don’t down a glass in one, gently sip tiny amounts every now and then
    7. Distraction. I often watch the simpsons when I feel sick

    Tip for panic attacks:

Here are what works for me as someone who’s dealt with anxiety since I was a very little kid:
-Recognize you are having a panic attack, not dying.
-Figure out what might be triggering it. Sometimes just being aware helps, especially if you can remove yourself from the situation (if you’re in a crowded place and that’s what’s causing it, leave if you can)
      -Blow bubbles
      -lie on the floor
-Watch Phineas and Ferb or Spongebob or whatever reminds you of a simpler time
-Create a playlist of songs that calm you down, listen to it and take deep breaths. I like songs that remind me of my happiest memories (songs my mom would sing me to sleep, Christmas music, it doesn’t matter what it is as long as it calms you)
-Find someone to talk to or even just be in the same room with.
-Squeeze something like a stress ball or play dough
-Wrap yourself up in a warm blanket
      -Rock back and forth
      -Wear warm socks
      -Meditate
-Tell yourself it’s going to be ok
-Call a parent or someone you love
-If something is legitimately serious, don’t be afraid to get help, because you’re always better safe than sorry :)
      I hope this helps!

I could not believe that you guys were able to put into terms and classify many of the issues that I have struggled with my whole life. Not to mention your AMAZING tips to help me figure my way threw coping with this FUSTRATING issue.
I had even to watch it over just to make sure I heard and read things correctly. I am absolutely having my life long therapist check this Specific Video out. I have already exposed her and many people I interact with to your wonderful channel.
I even found a way to talk to my dad about just how my mind works with things. He never realized just how hard it was and is for me to just "function" from day to day.
I have many of these issues mentioned and that they are in my experience WAY too accurate, this is not a bad thing mind you, it is just a bit unsettling when these un seen struggles are exposed so perfectly.
I was never allowed to use my mental issues as an "excuse" for ANYTHING, and I even after decades of therapy, still struggle just the same with these issues as I did back then. Maybe a bit less rough, but it still is just as hindering if not more so. Why more so? Because society DOES NOT count Mental Difficulties as something "worthy" of their considerations.
I am Proof that learning, revisiting, actively practicing, and being stubborn to your own effectiveness are key to even trying to maintain a some what manageable mindset.
Your video brought a genuine appreciation to me. It also, showed me just how far I have come threw my life. For that I am ever Grateful for you all. THANK YOU!!!
Biggest Hugs with Warmest love to you all. Thank you so much!!

I've had bad anxiety since I was around 13. It's changed over the last 20 years, sometimes better sometimes worse, sometimes social and sometimes agorophobic, but I can't shake it. It's not fun waking up in fight or flight mode and it just doesn't turn off. Something that at least helped me with panic attacks sometimes is triangle breathing where you visualize a triangle and trace it with your eyes or imagination. Breathe in for one side, out for the other two. Apparently it works because your brain is concentrating on visualizing something, following it, and also the slower breathing helps calm you do. Its like brain overload and helps me kinda forget to be quiet so anxious.

I used to suffer badly from anxiety, until I discovered that throwing a little bit of comedy into everything completely crushed any anxiety I had. I was once afraid of turbulence on board a flight, until I told myself that airplanes can deal with more stress than a high school student. And bam! I chuckled, and I was no longer afraid.
Another example: I used to be terrified of giving class presentations, but throwing jokes into the presentation makes everyone laugh and all the tension in the air just vanished.
They weren’t kidding when they said “laughter is the best medicine”

    • @ifiwsaflowridbearose

    • @kellylensen

It is. With anxiety we imagine things to be at the worst level. Sometimes we take life a little bit to serious what causes this stress reaction. If we find humor in the things that scares us, we don't take the situation as serious as before.

    3) The worst-case scenarios always seem more likely than they are (2:34)

    5) You can literally worry yourself sick (4:06)
    6) Self-Doubt slows you down socially (4:40)

For me I was like 5. Going out to restaurants with my family made me anxious and I always asked to leave because I didn’t feel good. My first actual panic attack was when I was 6 or 7. I just remember I couldn’t stop shaking and my parents wrapped me up in blankets and stayed with me until I fell asleep. I’m 18 so I’ve pretty much dealt with it my whole life. It’s hard to remember a time when I wasn’t anxious. Wasn’t officially diagnosed until middle school though.

@@fattigriddare8481 Yeah. It’s definitely nice to have a confirmed diagnosis because it’s proof that it’s not all just in your head haha. The good news is after you’ve had it for a while, you can sort of recognize what triggers you, when you’re anxiety is bad, and learn how to calm yourself down. Some days are definitely better than others, and I went through a rough patch after the pandemic hit, but I’ve been off my meds for a while now, so I’d say I’m doing pretty good. I’m gonna have to deal with it for the rest of my life, but I’ve already lived most of my life dealing with it, so I’m kinda used to it by now, and with time I can only learn to understand it better :)

I was going though the same thing for almost two years. I’m really close with my family so when I went to my parents and explained to them that I think I have anxiety and I wanted to try and seek professional help I expected them to immediately understand, but they told me I was just stressed from school and I just need to stop worrying so much. It absolutely crushed me. I went to my brother and he reacted even worse and said some things that really hurt me. I even heard my family talking behind my back once about how I just put this idea in my head that I have anxiety and I’m completely fine. I went to them multiple times after that but I just got crushed and crushed over and over again until one day during quarantine they witnessed me having a really really serious breakdown. After, we had a talk and they finally realized I need help. It will take a while and you will mostly likely get hurt over and over again, but I’m positive that you’re extremely brave and strong, and if you be persistent, eventually you’ll get the help you need. And if your parents don’t understand, trust me it really really helps to talk to a friend or someone else you trust. I probably wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for my support system. And if you don’t have anyone you can talk to, it could also really help to write your feelings down in a journal and let everything out. Sorry this is an insanely long rant😂 I just know the pain of your situation and I want to assure you that it will eventually get better:)

    • @Ikaros23
      @Ikaros23 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@juliaportnoy5898 I agree. This you say here "they told me I was just stressed from school and I just need to stop worrying so much. It absolutely crushed me". Is typical respons for people who are not proffesionals in mental health. They often think that the brain is like a computer and that we can just " stopp worrying" or " just be positiv" etc. It`s important to just accespt that this is the reaction people have and to seek out profesjonal help or speak to people who have a higher level of empathy ( the abillity to listen to others without interupting or jugde based on ego based preconseptions). Reality is that most people around us dont have these kinds of abillitys. It dont make them bad people, but just normal humans with good/bad/ugly sides. Too all who reads this. I had and still have panic attacs from time to time. It`s important to 1: speek to a good therapist who listens. If you cant find a good therapist or cant afford one, then try to speak to a friend who listens. 2: start to have a regular sleeping habit ( this can be hard work and takes discipline), 3:get regular exercise ( 20-35 minutes a day of walking/jogging etc minimum), 4: cut out alcohol/drugs ( trust me the anxiety will go down ALOT), 5:eat healthy (cut out rafined sugars, prosessed food, junk... And eat natural proteins, veggies, fruite).6: declutter and clean your environment/habitat regularly. If its dirty and alot of clutter around you the brain gets anxius fast. 7: work regular hours and have automated rutines. Working is natural and gets the mind to focus.

Before I started my medication, I had a hard time functioning without having a panic attack. I don’t know how I survived. I always had diarrhea or nausea or both. My hair was falling out, I rarely hung out with family. I don’t know how I worked or drove places or talked to people. My sister forced me to see a psychologist and therapist when I almost quit my job after a car accident. I wouldn’t leave my room or eat or shower for a whole week. I seriously contemplated suicide for the first time. Seeing a doctor saved my life. I still worry occasionally, and feel uneasy or jittery, but my medication keeps it at bay most of the time. It took all my strength to seek help, but now I’m finally able to live. I feel alive after 30 years of suffering.

I've had dealt with sevre anxiety for a year and half and hadnt told anyone until I dealt with it. Every moment was a struggle except when I was alone. The way I dealt with it, and you can, is to do what scares you. If you have trouble talking to people, do it. If it's eye contact, look at every person around you in the eye. If it's being noisy areas, find the most noisest place you can find. It isn't easy, believe me. But eventually you will adapt and you will purge it out of you.
