yeah I agree, it was pretty Decent, but no originality or anything that made it stand out. Cage wasn't used to his ability. so missed opportunity there. Jaden Martell is a good actor I've seen him in a few movies now. IT Chapter 1 and Metal Lords on Netflix both stand out to me.
Cage was pretty subdued, but the monsters were pretty cool at least. It took me a bit to realize that they didn’t all look the same, I think there may have been like 3 different types.
The creatures were interesting. My biggest thing was the lighting was dark as hell. I dunno if it was my theater or if you noticed it watching at home. Some of the camera work was very shaky too. He definitely found those boys I thought. This was ok I thought. I’d consider watching it again.
Ok once again I'm confused. At the 5:55 mark you start talking about the creatures and you show an image...that IS NOT the creatures in the movie. I've seen several channels that are critiquing this movie show images that are not in the movie. That's NOT what the creatures look like. WHY? Other than that, I agree with almost everything you said. The movie itself was structured fairly well, acting was good...but too many plot points left unanswered. What are these things, where did they come from, what are they doing? Are they eating people, what's the mouth flapping, did that thing absorb that woman? Too many unanswered questions?
Ok, my bad, I was searching for a good image that wasn’t too dark looking, and I found that one, so I used it. If it’s not from the movie at all, I don’t know why it seems to be attached to it. I’ll admit, some of the scenes were so dark that I assumed that maybe there were a few different types of creatures, but hey, I could be wrong.
And by the way, I appreciate you pointing that out, because I definitely don’t want inaccuracies like that in my reviews, so it’s a reminder to be more careful. Seems like we had very similar feelings though about the film. How would you feel about a sequel?
@darkhymnsfromthecoldnorth I found that the more they showed the creatures , the less interesting they were. It started decent and it was genuinely creepy at points (the hand at the door scene) but then went to 💩 in my opinion. The movie the darkest hour was a great movie that suffered the same fate , by the time you see the creatures ? Their design was trash and hurt the movie
I enjoyed this movie much more than A Quiet Place. The creatures were absolutely insane.
I so didn’t see that coming! A quiet place i like for the good performances, but I’m not a fan of the death angels, really.

@@darkhymnsfromthecoldnorth yeah, why was that? hopefully we get a sequel that explains the monsters more. That would be cool.
@SpencerCantley I guess they didn’t want to give away too much.

Oh it was for sure dark lol. Luckily I was watching from home and I could pause it and stuff.

@@wickamo that creature design would have been superior to what they did use 😄
I'm sensing prequels and sequels for this one 😅
I’d watch them!
He did find the babies for sure.
Makes sense! In that case I like how he raises them and they call him dad and stuff. I enjoyed that aspect.
It was ok but they totally ripped off A quiet Place. That said , the last AQP sucked and this one was way better
Agreed, the closeness to a quiet place is way too weird. I was let down by the last one too but I did like the human performances.
This movie sucked major cheeks
Without the monsters, I don’t think I would have been too into it. Which does say a lot about the story.

What is your opinion Sharkboy and Lavagirl
Sure
