Hurrem, who lost her power in the court, is working for Mihrimah and Rüstem to marry. Suleiman, on the other hand, wants his daughter's consent. Hearing that Prince Mustafa went to the sea, Suleiman sends news to his son. Meeting with Mustafa in a secluded place, Suleiman teaches him a great lesson. Mimar Sinan is called to build Hurrem's complex and he becomes the Chief Architect. Hurrem is playing a new game, trying to get between Shah Sultan and Lutfi Pasha. Shah Sultan, who is not aware of this, is doing his best to prevent the marriage.
However, Hurrem confronts her daughter with such a reality that the fate of Mihrimah and the empire changes! Hurrem, who lost all his power in the divan when Lutfi Pasha became the vizier, takes action without wasting time. On the one hand, she tries to break the relationship between Lütfi Pasha and Shah Sultan, on the other hand, she tries to persuade Mihrimah to marry Rustem.
Because Suleiman stipulated his daughter's consent for this marriage. Mihrimah is still after Malkocoglu. When she learns that he is meeting with a Venetian woman, she goes crazy with jealousy. When Suleiman hears that Prince Mustafa is sailing, he invites him to Bursa and teaches his son an unforgettable lesson. Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

@@painfromnaruto3716 I meant the gesture of him touching her chin like that. Personally thought it was a demeaning gesture. Like an angry father with his bad child. And sure he would demean her, he does it with everyone because Suleiman doesn’t accept people going against him.
@@b.3049 I don't know, I didn't read it as demeaning, but I also can see how it can be read two different ways. It comes across as either a way for him to say she doesn't have to bow her head in shame as she's done nothing wrong or that he's demanding her not drop her gaze from him. Very different meanings/intentions.

Hurrem is so talented. She knew his weak spot, it was the fear of losing his power, being overraken by his Princes, and she exactly hit that weak spot, not directly but with low key sarcasm, so she pretends as innocent, while painting Mustafa badly with her soft nice words.
Hurrem had "personality" she was a very jovial person .. thats why the Sultan gave her the name "Hurrem" cus she was full of life and enthusiasm! She also doesnt nag the Sultan, if you google the poems Suleiman wrote to her, you will see the Sultan calling her his "Safe place" where he can always be without stress
How does mehidevran find a reason to blame hurrem for her son's mistakes?? She is ridiculous!
Since episode 2-3 she blames hurrem for all the misfortunes, that's what she does to justify everything. Hafsa sultan was right in ep 55, mahidevil is brainless.
To be fair, while she's done it before, I don't think that's what Mahidevran is doing here. She isn't accusing Hürrem of being to blame, but rather that, if Mustafa accepts and furthers the distance between himself and his father then it will be to Hürrem's benefit and not their own (and she's right!).

Many people think Suleyman controlled by Hurrem, like it's easy task. In reality, influenced people is hard job, especially in this case. Suleyman is strong figure, and has strong-mind, already competent statemen even before ascended to the throne. We can look in this scene that Hurrem doesn't slander or badmouthing Mustafa, because she know she will lose, and that's why she just used sarcasm. She also can't badmouthing Valide, except when situation became so worse and Hurrem's face was burned. Hurrem is clearly exaggerating some matters, especially about Ibrahim, but if Hurrem's enemies don't make so much mistakes, nothing to exaggerated by her in the first place.
Hürrem, after her years in the harem, seemingly learned how to use the very restrictions that held her in place as her biggest weapon, which is honestly fascinating to watch and also played into what made it so impossible for her enemies to knock her down.

On the one hand, Hürrem talks with great words about Mustapha and on the other hand blames him to Suleyman! It wanted to have a huge talent to do this with so great way! If this wasn't an evil way from Hürrem to reach her purpose, then what it was!!

Despite her helping along the wedge between them (look I love her, but let's not deny that she's not really helping to stop the growing gap....
