Words aren't enough to praise the cast. Every minute details were taken so magnificently. From blinking the eyes to downright staring (such simple things but powerful) they carried it out so convincingly that one could imagine being in the Ottoman era itself.
I think Valide only liked Mahidevran because she can control her, unlike Hurrem who has a mind of her own. Also because she pinned her hope that Mustafa will sit on the throne so it was her way of earning Mahidevran's trust in return. Valide's strategy of sending concubines to Suleiman to keep her away from Hurrem was really mean-spirited and downright shameful
And he turned those concubines away sight unseen. He will not involve Mahidervan in his and his family life. Mahideveran seems to be getting positions that she knows nothing about, but thinks she can manipulating her obvious ignorance. Wrong!
