Wow, I would have never thought about protecting carpeted floor Matt’s… I assume this same process for the carpet in the rest of the vehicle??… Love your work!!
I am a professional carpet & upholstery cleaner and we use DuPont Teflon to protect textiles because the flouropolymer bond is strong and prevents the product from becoming airborn after it drys.
Just ran across this. So this ceramic spray is similar to a scotchguard fabric spray that makes fabric waterproof and resist stains, correct? You can literally ceramic coat anything these days, lol. Might try it on my dog so I don't have to bath him as often.
How many cars should one bottle do. I just used this for the first time and used half the bottle. Does that sound accurate? 2 cars per bottle or did I over/under do it?
Can I use interior ceramic in semi-aniline leather. I have been looking for protection to my leather seats but most products I have looked into are not good for this type of leather. Thank you!
It’s best to remove the sprayer, spray into the bottle until it’s empty, close off the nozzle, then either put the sprayer back on the bottle, or the lid
you absolutely can! try the passenger side or rear weather tech mats first and make sure it's not slick, you want to test it to your liking before putting it on a drivers mat for safety reasons. But we use it on drivers mats all the time; I just like to do the disclaimer that you want to err on the side of what feels not slick to you in relation to the drivers mat and safety
Vacuum carpet thoroughly, then apply your carpet cleaner of choice. All Clean diluted at 30:1, for example. Then apply Interior Ceramic to dry carpet. Don’t worry about removing the protection afterward, just clean until you see the soil disappear. Re apply interior ceramic after thoroughly cleaning. On carpets this is all about a sacrificial layer around the fibers, but it’s not bulletproof so if you’re putting the effort in to cleaning again might as well add another layer. The bottles will last you a long time especially for the home user
@@diydetailofficial Thank you. I wondered if All Clean was the recommendation. Interior C&P sounds good, but probably best not to clean with a protectant first. Hopefully AC at 30:1 is safe on all of the plastics, leathers, synthetic leathers, etc.
@@diydetailofficialExactly my point . There are 29.6 ml’s in one oz ( in this example ,I’ll use 30 ml for mathematical simplicity) Doing 4 floor mats, 40 sprays per mat, you will have used a total of 160 ml’s. A 16oz bottle has a total of 480ml’s. So you just used exactly 33% of the bottle on just four floor mats. And this does not include doing the dash, doors, or seats. In total , you may be able to fully ceramic the interior of two vehicles with this 16 oz bottle. At $50 a bottle, that’s a tough sell to professional detailers trying to make a dime. For your DIY guy or weekend warrior, for use on their own vehicle, I guess.
Many “professional” interior coatings are much more expensive. It’s up to you how much protection you need or want to offer your customers. Many professional detailers find this a very high quality and performance option at a reasonable price.
I am afraid to use interior ceramic coating or any coating for that matter to the interior of car due to VOCs and carcinogenic properties of some of the ingredients used in manufacturing process… 😢 Fumes builds up during hot weather and can cause issues…
@DIY Detail as far as which? Our company has lab tested about every fabric sealant made. Over 70 so far in past 5 years. The one that lasted the longest under heavy weight traffic while preventing build up by encapsulation was the 3m product. So I would love to hear this.
Simple and effective.
Thank you

Yes, same process

that's the goal:)
Nice 🤙🏼 Saw during the Creator Summit Dr. Beasley showing this method too. Such a great method for coating all the fibers!
Thank you

Does this kind of ruin the brush? Does it dry on the bristles crusty? Or limit its use to only this for the future?
If you soak it in your wash bucket for 15 minutes after, it stops the DIY Detail Interior Ceramic Coating from cross linking to the brush.
Am sold!!!!
When you try it let us know how you enjoy it.
dang it now I gotta try that too! ;)
Please let us know when you do.

I wouldn’t try it on your dog, keep it to your car.
@diydetailofficial ok, ok, your right, that would be mean. I'll only use it on my hamsters then. 🍻
Is the interior ceramic product good for the plastic and rubber interior pieces as well as the carpets? Also, how long does it last?
It is! At least 6 months and just depends on how much vehicle is driven and wear and tear
@@diydetailofficialhi! What's the name of the specific products used for carpet and the other for the plastics and rubber pieces? Thanks
Look like a nice product.
It is!
Great tip
Thank you
Can you use this on WeatherTech Mats?
Yes, any interior surface.
😍😍😍

You may have used a little too much. 4-6 cars is average

@MyPandoraCharmedLife no harm done.

Yes
@@diydetailofficial Yayyyyy. Thanks!
If you use this on your leather seats, would you still need to apply leather conditioner occasionally to keep the leather soft?
We recommend Interior Ceramic and then for maintenance cleaning you can use Interior Clean & Protect 👍
@@diydetailofficial thank you!
Question?? When finished should we take off the sprayer and clean either water and replace the cap or is it ok to leave the sprayer on the bottle?
It’s best to remove the sprayer, spray into the bottle until it’s empty, close off the nozzle, then either put the sprayer back on the bottle, or the lid
Do you recommend putting this on weathertechs?

If applied to rubber floor mats such as weather tech would this product make it slippery?
It protects them.
What's the best way to clean to prep for this? And what's the best way to clean afterwards to not remove the protection?
Vacuum carpet thoroughly, then apply your carpet cleaner of choice. All Clean diluted at 30:1, for example. Then apply Interior Ceramic to dry carpet. For all non fabric surfaces, DIY Detail Rinseless Wash is the preferred way to prep, but All Clean at 30/1 is also very safe.
How long does it last ?
A year or more
Where to get this spray ????
Is it okay to install interior ceramic on fabric seats?
Definitely, all interior surfaces.
Do you think this would be appropriate for carpeted stairs in an apartment? or would it be a waste as well as to slippery?
It will definitely help, and no will not make them slippery
@@diydetailofficial Awesome, love the video's.
How long does this need to dry to be fully effective?
One hour to use, 24 hours to reach full potential.
@@diydetailofficial thank you.
Thanks for the question

Thank you.
Whats the advantage to coating your floor mats?
Much easier to clean, less chance of staining, and more resistant to salt in the northern climates.
@@diydetailofficial Ok! Will it help with mud/dirt build up?
Definitely.
This work with Alcantara and leather?
Yep!
Do you recommend this product on alcantara?

@@diydetailofficial awesome! Got a bottle coming tomorrow can’t wait to use it, thank you!
Does it have a cure time?
Best to give it at least an hour before you sit on the leather seats, if you can let it sit overnight that’s great but give it an hour minimum
Hey how long does it last ?
It depends on wear, for a drivers seat it’s about a year, for the rest of the interior many years.
@@diydetailofficial thank you for the quick response thinking of adding this to my services
Can it be applied on a cloth seat ?
Absolutely
And after 40 sprays on one floor mat, there goes $50. Very cost effective…..Not.
