Thank you so much for your videos. I learn so much! I'm till working on making what I learn into habits,. As a beginner podcaster your videos are a gift for me!
Now I thought of again another topic that would be good ( Thank you so much for the filler words video!). I think people can really use tips on how to stay on topic. I experience it often with my podcast guest. When we have chosen a topic, but they are not able to focus on that, they are not prepared and talk just random things sometimes. I see it also so many times at meetings, when people go off on talking about something absolutely irrelevant. And I see it so often, when people have to answer a question and start talking about something irrelevant instead. I also see it at presentations, when the speaker can't stay on topic. So maybe this can also be one of the future videos. It seems so easy for me, so I don't understand how people don't notice how they are off topic. I will make my podcast guest watch that video before doing the show :)
And thank you again for sharing your knowledge. I have shared your channel with many people and groups!

Kara, thanks for making this video. I wanted to ask about your point on not reading from notes to maintain eye contact. Does this also mean we should avoid taking notes during conversations for the same reason?

It depends on what type of conversation you're having. If it's a conversation where you're learning something from the other person/s, it's ok to take notes. Just make sure they're not long notes. I recommend that you say something like, "Do you mind if I take notes about this?" before you start, that way you get the other person's permission to break eye contact so you can take notes. This is a polite way of going about it.

I found difficult to own the stage (and even more to take eye contact) when you are "on the perch" in front dozens of people, i.e. giving a seminar

Hi, Kara Ronin, Hoping you in best version of your life. To me presentation is implementation of your pre-thought process in currrent situaiton at hand. Close your eyes, Create your mental palace of a hall full of people, Give your presentation while looking as a critic.

Content presented this way is so annoying as an educator. Just tell people what to do instead of to "NEVER" do.

Even though the title of the video is about what "not to do", within each point, I do share suggestions of what you should do instead. Did you see that?
