Happy Sunday morning! Toni and I occasionally do this bluesy 6/8 version of Don't Think Twice at live concerts, and someone uploaded a bootlegged video of us doing this song back (waaaay back in 2013) that has quite a bit of views on TH-cam. We figured it was time to officially record it for a Sunday Morning video this week. Our friends Carson and Josh (The Other Favorites) have a beautiful version of this tune, so if you haven't seen it, check out theirs too!

PP & Mary were favorites of mine...and of course your own original music... If you two ever get to north central Pennsylvania, I’d love to see you in concert... I’m sixty five years old as of today... I’ve been a guitar player and ‘singer’(😂) since I was a kid... your music has helped me regain my hope in the younger generation... thanks

I am a 74 year old veteran who bumped into Bob Dylan in 1965 a Big Sur Lodge and all I can say is I hope you two bump in to him as well, I as sure he would love what you have done with his song.
I don't think it's exclusively bobs I heard it late 50s Peter Paul and mary and yes this version is excellent

Creative genius allows these two to take an old classic and make a totally different highly desirable version, cerebral tickler out of it...
It’s hard to capture in words how good this rendition is. Reina’s inflection and timing are just perfect. Toni is on a whole other planet - she is nothing less than a masterful, magnificent, extraordinary guitarist and arranger.
She plays from the soul and feels every note.

I've heard this song covered by scores of artists in the last 50+ years, this is one of the best. Toni's guitar work is hypnotic and Reina's phrasing is original and captivating.

I wonder what Bob Dylan would have thought if he had known when he wrote this song, that 58 years later it would be beautifully covered and recorded by two young female musicians who would then beam it up to a network where it could be listened to and watched by the 5 billion other users of that network across the world. The technology has changed beyond all recognition, but the song remains timeless.
You might say the song remains the same. Robert Plant knew what he was talking about.

@@brimkathstampex2306 -- That's unfair. Dylan, like other great musicians such as Ray Charles and Kurt Cobain, had the audacity to want to get to actually paid at concerts. He hardly begrudged folks covering his songs, and what great songs they are.

Love Toni's smile when she's satisfied with her performance. Such a contrast to how serious she looks while concentrating on a solo pssage.
It was actually that smile that got me hooked in the first place. Toni's smile introduced me to the world of her friends music and I couldn't be happier. Reina, Toni, Josh and Carson are not only amazingly talented but seem to find the most talented people every where they go.

I've been around a bit. I play 'a bit' --- and I have recently come to the conclusion that Toni Lindgren is the most accomplished guitar player I have ever witnessed and she is half my age! G U L P !
I have to agree, I’ve been playing since the mid sixties.... Mostly folk music, country... some rock ‘n roll ..(oldies) and It’s almost embarrassing how well these two “youngsters” play and sing.. not for them 😂 for us old dogs ....
Like Robert, I started playing guitar in the mid 60's. I still have a tendency to look down at the frets now and again when just playing chords. I watch Tony playing and think w.t.f.
Very nice to say Rob --- we're soooo lucky to hear them (and Josh Turner and Carson McFee) --- and the fact these four play/tour together makes it a feast for us. :-)

Being an old man when I began to listen to your rendition of one of my all time favorite tunes I didn't like it. It wasn't the same as I was used to. But my 74 years have taught me one thing stay with something new to the end. So by about half way through I clicked a pleasantly surprised "like" and by the time you were finished I was subscribed. Thank you for your beautiful music.

Toni just killing with such ease and grace
There are good gigs, there are great concerts, sometimes you experience this, a truly exceptional performance. Sunday morning lighting, perfect audio mix of electric, acoustic and voice , the electric tone/jams/fills, a vocal filled with emotion of joy and happiness. I rarely see performances that stay with me forever and I'll continually re-enjoy for the rest of my life. Thank you.

Sitting here listening and smiling; smiling, and sitting here listening. Such a great voice, this RDC voice. And Toni is the perfect "bling" to go along with that voice. I believe RDC, Toni, and the Other Guys are the perfect band. All four are talented enough to make it alone, but together, they are magic. IF they worked together long enough with focus, it would just be a matter of time before something legendary developed.

They could easily be forgotten .. but for some reason you have breathed life into them again in the most Sweet and Heartfelt way.. I only discovered your channel by accident while scrolling through videos on the internet... the Shorts in particular.. and they were the ones of Reina making Poetry /Rapping... out of diverse subjects... and I was Hooked and Addicted by how your mind works..LOL..later I saw your music video of "You Never Can Tell" {C'est La Vie.} and discovered Your Sweet Singing Voice and Amazing Guitar playing.. So glad I stumbled upon this. One of my favorite Dylan tunes. I used to play in at my college weekend coffee house open mike nights way back before either of you were born! Had the neck harmonica holder, too. This is the sweetest cover of it I have ever heard! Thank you for posting.
Toni's backing is superb here . The comping, lead and use of dynamics, switching from gentle melody to lead is quite something. The leads themselves are melodic and great, especially the melody lift from "we'll meet again" at 3:55. That phrasing lifted the solo and gave it personality.
Love the version of the song too - beautiful singing and arrangement, Dylans original never sounded like this :)
Those birds on that beauty of a guitar, just makes me like this more. She's picking out that bass line and lead at the same time like a piano player, no easy feat.

Takes me back to my early teens in the early 60s when I learned all the lyrics to this song off a Dylan LP. Was just getting into music then and so much was happening at the same time so I didn’t learn all the supporting details and, of course, unrecorded memories are somewhat suspect. It is absolutely exhilarating to witness, on TH-cam, young musicians reinterpreting this great music in such a flattering way.
I have never doubted your abilities as professional musicians but you have gone the extra mile when you recovered the couch to match your instruments 👍👍👍

I happened to be resting my dry and weary eyes when this video came on TH-cam. But I instantly recognized one of my favorite BD songs and it took only a picosecond to know it was Elle's ironic and portamento voice on the sassy Dylan lyrics. I opened my eyes to see Toni embracing Les Paul and picking out a strong blues solo. A few years ago, when I was in a bad, bad place, I took all kinds of enjoyment from the casual moments of your repertory like "Train!" and "Suck it up, buttercup" Ah, those were good times. I only wish that the fickle and capricious music business gives you both the rewards you so deserve.
