It is great to see Anthony Bourdain working in the extremely beautiful and valuable collectible car market under an assumed name...Not only are you a great cook but you are a great salesman...RIP Anthony ....Great videos Michael...

Not many Mk1's were saved, Not compared to the Mk2!
Love the small rear window and tail lamps on a Mk1

The old Jag Saloons have such a bearing about them that is absolutely Bentley-ish. A buddy of mine restored an early 60s S-Type Saloon. Pewter grey paint, red leather hides, all wood redone and all metal bits rechromed. Rebuilt 3.8 liter with a manual four-speed and electric overdrive. He worked on it for around five years and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. Cruising around our little Northern New York town, it got almost as many double-takes as his Healey 3000!

3.4 engine and auto is rare in a MK1, most were 2.4 and manual, some with overdrive. A very desireable car

There's plenty of them here in Australia in that combo, matching numbers too.

@@julzdalton1746 Wow, good to know, all 2.4 here in NZ, apart from the odd 3.4,

@@roblord7610 I own a 1958 3.4 manual/OD all matching in Cotswold Blue with grey interior, Australian Delivered by Brysons in Sydney. I used to own another in grey which is now in Queensland, and a 1957 3.4 auto in grey many years ago. There are three others I know of in Tasmania, all 3.4s, and more on the mainland.

Growing up in Vancouver BC back in the mid sixties these were very common to see......and still fetched good prices back then.
