$65K for something powered by a Subaru engine?! The interior of the door and the dash screams VW Bug.
This dunderhead doesn't show what the car looks like? This has to be one of the stupidest videos on TH-cam.
Anyone paying 90k for a fiberglass body kit car with a cheap subie drivetrain is out of their mind. Buy a JPS version and have a cool daily driver for much less with the same drivetrain.
No view of the engine box?
Who cares what purist snobs say, I'm sure this thing is fun as heck, faster and more reliable than an original 356.
It’s like building a Jag with a Pinto engine.
Not a great video when u don’t even show what the car looks Ike
How sad for the old 956. Rolling hack
Pay attention, It's a new Beck body with a custom built tubular frame.. No 356's were harmed in its creation.
Sad indeed.
Wish I could see the outside of the car ?
Ya think?
Click on channel, all vids/cars are there.
Actual driving start at 2:37
Where is the website? I cannot afford it sadly, but i wanted to see the photographs
Is the link to the auction a secret?
Unique! One of a kind.
Walt did not do you a favor by junking the original engine! Now you don’t have a matching numbers car, which gets more and more valuable as time goes by. He should have just changed the cylinder liner and piston. The $30 grand you spent on the car was wasted! It would have been a better investment to take your wife on a trip to Europe, and and just changed the one piston on your RR. 40+ year RR collector here! I own 2 Shads, among others!
I really wanted to buy it based on the other videos but this news ruined it for me. That is just such a sad situation. In the current market it will be hard to sell this, it's no longer a collectors car but a drivers. I'm interested in seeing just how deeply the discount will need to be to move it in our unfortunate economic situation.

Corvette c3 - a legendary piece of art on 4 wheels.
My dad had one back then.
Yes Michael, really cool car 😎.
I would own this if my budget allowed, however I would not own a replica 356. Nice car and a nice review. Someone will purchase a fun car!
Read what you wrote and think about it.
What a beauty! You’re a lucky man!!
The steering wheel spokes will block the view of the instruments. The banjo wheel had one spoke vertical, the other two down low.
❤ congratulations.. regards from Athens Greece...😊
Worth its weight in bog.
A friend of mine had a 122S that was owned by Jules Bergman. ABC News journalist who covered the Space Program
A car with all the papers, mint and almost fully original, ❤nice
Much better than a RAV4.
Bro has one of the smoothest voices I’ve ever heard. A pleasant mix between Jeff Goldblum and Neil Peart.
Nice TD! IT is the same age that I am.
Beautiful car.
Hello, "Michael's Motor Cars" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or email?
price?? please
Lame video mike.
We don't even know what it looks like from the outside. Really, you're too lazy to do a few seconds of b-roll? People will straight up block your channel.
You're complaining about an accompanying informational video, which is totally optional and which most sellers don't even bother to do? And your complaint is that the totally optional and extra video is not to your liking? Really? No wonder most of these channels block comments. For the record, one of the earlier videos is a walk-around of this car. No affiliation with the seller I just thought this comment was jolly unfair.
I have a 1967 model - owned it five years now. Totally original, zero rust, and still my daily driver - and, oh, spares are still readily available and affordable. Love it. I am sure this model will find a new home.
Watched this for the Volvo. Rewatched several times in disbelief at recognizing the neighborhood I grew up in.
Hello some people may not be aware of model names/numbers so in my opinion it's always worth filming the car from outside as well
Gosh, it sure would have been nice to see what the outside of that car looked like. Rather disappointed.
We had one, brand new, as our family vehicle. These were the cars that made Volves so famous. We had a 4 door sedan around that time too.
Nice video Mike greetings from Holland
leuk, ook een liefhebber. heb je er ook een in bezit?
I bought a 67 Amazon in 1980. Drove it for 20 years, installed IPD sway-bars and Bilstein shocks, "restored" it (paint and interior) and rebuilt more than once, and she had more than 500,000 miles on her before she called it quits. B18's are bulletproof.
Back when cars were very buggy like. Great old automobile!
I love the old analog cars. As old as this Volvo is, it would work well as a daily driver!
122S. Great car! Thank you.
I moved from New York to California in a 1967 Volvo in 1971. Great car, great trip.
"The synchomesh on this car is great", bang. Lol
Mel Blanc's impression of Jack Benny's Maxwell was pretty accurate, it seems...
nice older bm that is
Beautiful Buicks you got love them it's a shame General motors has ruined the corner stone and made them a rebranded Chevrollac !
Unfortunately, all petrol cars will soon be banned in the EU and USA! In France there is a new ban on cars with internal combustion engines called SCHLABOUBVE and in Switzerland there is the HESCHLAVVO law! There will soon be a so-called SMORVERBIDEN law in the Scandinavian countries. In Germany, from 2027, the Green Party's new BABVVO and TEBBVO laws will ban all gasoline cars from public roads (exception: commuter trips and state-certified transport)!!!
Seat belts ruin the authenticity of the interior. Otherwise a good restoration
