Picked one of these up just last week. I literally cannot believe the performance of this thing. It's lightning fast and only comes in at £100 over here in the UK. I honestly think I'll never buy a high end handset again. Truly a wonderful mix of performance and price.

Holy crap a practical review AND affordable gadgets?! I like where this is going.
A good product is a good product regardless of price point. I'd love to see more review of lower to mid ranged items. Not everyone needs the top of the line (insert product here) and can often reach the same experience while saving money by buying a lesser item.
I got it for my mom, actually! it's great for the price, feels very similar to my nexus 4 now with the kitkat update

Also would like to point out at that during the midnight launch of Moto G here in India on flipkart, the phone was out of stock within just 10 minutes ( I was one of the few lucky to buy it in time back then :D ) selling out 40000 units of both the 8gb and 16gb variants. And then it took another 10 days to be back on stock and quickly went out of stock this time within an hour, selling 150000 units! It's just been a smashing success here.
PS- And also within the next few days they are also going to be launching the Moto X here, and the anticipation for getting the hands on it has been also very high here!

got my moto g just over a month ago and im loving it, had a sony xperia neo v for two years and it was starting to get so slow with its 1ghz single core that it would lag and stutter while playing music if i receive a text or any notification lol the moto G seems like it might be one of the smart phones starting the trend pc's got into where for normal users who just use the internet, watch videos and play small games from time to time on their phone will probably not need a new phone for minimum 2 years rather than feeling like needing a new phone after a year (my xperia lasted 2 years only because the contract was 2 years lol)

My siblings and I recently bought my mother an iPad and a Moto G for her birthday. I spent several weeks researching the Moto G and tryed one myself before settling on it. I am very pleased with the purchase and so is my mother. It is an excellent product for the price, I couldnt find anything else in the same price range that compared in quality and performance.
We need more unboxings, they were very interesting and informative imo!:)

got 2 moto Gs at 50$ each during the holidays (some awesome deal that was available only back then) as gifts, and my daily driver is a nexus 5 (previously Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus) so yes I think you should also review products that matter just for their sheer value!

I'm always happy to see lower end tech, honestly. I don't have a lot of money to spend, and this was the phone that I chose earlier this month. Does everything I need and I personally love it. I'd love to see a combination of high end and low end reviews!
I got my wife one of these for Christmas, and it's an amazing phone for the money - just does everything so well - it is SO much better than anything else you can get in the same size/price bracket.
Great review Linus even if it was late. It had that latecomer advantage in that we didn't need to be bogged down with specs etc and just focus on big picture. Despite its fantastic price I still want LTE that the new version addresses.

Nice review! it is selling really well in India, and flipkart did the web launch of moto g which explains its popularity on the site..The site went down 10 mins after the launch due to very high traffic and there were no 16GB versions on stock the next day(more demand than expected) ..Now stocks of both 16GB and 8GB have been replenished... I'm buying a Moto G for myself..

Still have one of these in good condition that I use when my main driver is having issues or anything, bit slow and struggles to multitask now in mid 2018 but hey long lasting and solid phone

the great thing about it being android is that hangouts, and the dialer and the default launcher app, can all be changed out for aftermarket apps...

I would like to see both. I personally am only interested in high end phones, but when people ask me what phone they should get it's nice to just link them to a review on say the Moto-G and say that one. Really though. I think focusing on high end is good as most of your viewer's are power users, but whenever a phone like this comes to market with a great price to performance review it!

Yea the Moto G is definitely awesome. Though the only other value end phone I will recommend for now is the Lumia 520 (or relative e.g. 522, 620).
About the Moto X does it have a removable battery? Any downsides to the Moto X compared to the Moto G?

I'd absolutely LOVE to see some quality reviews on products that aren't at the top end level. Especially for things like phones and other portable devices, everyone's always talking about S5's and iPhones. I don't spend that much money on a phone and neither does anyone I hang out with.
Nexus 5 is also a good lower price phone.
I'd really like to see more riviews of "value oriented phones", even new Windwos Phones if possible (obviously when wp 8.1 is released. At the moment the sistuation hasn't changed that much since when you did your iswitched)
One good rule of thumb to remember when buying smartphones is the future updates. Many companies like, HTC, suck when providing updates, but if you were to get a phone from Google or Motorola(previously Google), the updates are damn near guaranteed. Very important.

Moto G really has no competitors atm. I've used it and it is just incredible in the most essential things: performance, display (despite still not being perfect like an iPhone one), reception, call and general sound quality, shape and materials, and of course that great battery life. And that LED notification light is really nice and helpful.
Btw despite the glass being Gorilla 3, it shatters very easily if you drop it on concrete as any Gorilla screen. Buy a grip, i'd say.

Good review on the Moto G. It's an interesting phone, even though it doesn't have the specs of many of the flagship devices. I think the only feature I would like to have on their is a micro SD card expansion slot. Although I wouldn't expect Google to put that as a feature considering their desire for people to use Google Drive. I for one hope you continue to make review videos about phones in all price ranges. Thanks!

This was my first new phone in 8 years and I absolutely love it. I don't really know what can improved between this and flagship phones that demand such a price premium.
This phone is really impressive for the price. I personally would never buy anything other than a flagship phone, but if I didn't have the money I'd go with this.

My Kindle Fire HDX 7" tablet with SILK browser just got an update where it has fast web page loading, so it shows up instantly. It was a new feature they added to the upgrade and also now I can use it on a PS3 as a 2nd screen with the new upgrade too. My Windows Phone has a similar feature to load things quick without stuttering.
Getting it in a few days
