Hello Nicki. Today is the first time I watched a video of yours, and I just subscribed to your channel. I see that you are an inductive Bible Study person. So am I. I was trained through Precept Ministries with Kay Arthur and have led a few Bible studies in the past. I am looking to possibly be involved in someone else's Bible study right now, and, hopefully, start leading one again too. Your color coding system is very interesting, and I might combine some of it along with mine and Kay Arthur's. I look forward to seeing more of your videos, and I will check out your web site and etsy shop soon. May the Lord bless you for getting "His truth" out there.
I started doing something very similar recently. I use regular colored pencils and I mark personal application verses. So verses talking about love (either God's love or how we should love others) I use pink. Verses about being a good woman/ wife are orange, anger is red. Verses about the tongue and how we use our words are blue. Purple is for the very personal verses that I feel speak to me (because it's my favorite color), whether it's encouraging or something that I feel I need to work on. Green is for being diligent and/or lazy (something else that I need to work on).
I use the Olive Tree app on my Kindle for my bible and love it. I'm a new Christian and have not found the right book bible yet for myself so I'm glad I found the app. I can highlight in different colors, save, copy verses etc. I currently have my own color key but I really like yours!thank you for sharing!
Franny a new highlighting guide is in the works!! It's different than this one but I find it more useful. I'm creating a Bible study workbook to go along with it. ♥️
I have been using a much smaller color code system for a while. I don't have icons, but I've been doing mine long enough I can actually remember it. Yours is really nice though and much more indepth. I like it. The ink joy pens I love to write with them, but because they are gel, they don't work well in my Bibles.
could you do a step by step video of this system, where I could follow along? I like this idea, just need a little more of a how to video ( I hope that makes sense.)
Hii, thank God for this color code! This is color code is really usefull, I like to study colorfully. I don't have much writting space in my Bible so the symbols/icons really help remember what the color means and they look so neat and pretty. For the light blue I went for a scroll symbol. I thought it goes well with the word "principles" like in an important theory book. 💙📙
I know how that is!! I went without a printer for several years!! The good news is that the packet isn't necessary!! The gals with the packet still have to write out all of the verses and notes. I actually love to use ruled school paper for my studies better than anything else! 🤗 I promise you you will still learn!! Blessings!!
I haven't found a color code that works for me because like you said I was more focused on the colors than the Word🥺 Buuuut I have been known for using washi as a bandaid😆 Blessings from Spain!💕
I like your 10 P's! My system is pretty simple - I use green for places, blue for people, symbols for God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, joy, prayer, and love; then I vary the other colors for different themes depending on the book.
Please do a snapshot of your color code sheet so we can see it up close! My color code scheme, well, isn't one. In my church bible study I'm using a journal. Whatever color comes to mind is the one I use. So learning a system might be kinda good!
God-bless you I've been watching your videos and I haven't seen a Video On Bible journaline for disability people or a Bible journaling for legally blind people people I just got a Bible journeying But the letters are too small I love your videos but if you could try to make something for my condition it'll be great
Love the system I can use my stationery ink and pencil crayons again, I haven’t been doing my hard copy of my bible as I went digital on Holy Bible Youversion app as I can compare my studies through 3 translations at the same time and can do hi-lights there.
NickiDrake-CrazySimpleTruth you will be happy to know I started using my pencil crayons using same Color system on my Bible Study journal book again. Thanks for inspiring me sis! Ps. Which city are you in? I’m in Vancouver, BC Canada 🥰
Would you recommend the quest or life application bible? I know you gave both but which is better? I’ve had the life application before in a personal size. I’m very unsettled in a bible right now.
That's such a good question Michelle!! I think I would say the Quest Study Bible. I need to do a video about comparing the two!! But if I had to choose I think the Quest has answers to tough questions!!
I love how excited you are! It makes me really excited, too :). Thanks for this video!
I'm so glad it was a blessing to you!! Thank you for watching ❤️
I truly love your enthusiasm!
WoW!!!
You read my mind!!
Labeling your pens and a key to match. Love it!!

Yay Linda I am so glad you found me!! I love that you teach the word as well!! Praise Jesus for He is good!
“I didn’t give him his own color because he is not worth it “😂 Epic statement
Wow! This is awesome! So much easier to use than other systems!

Love your quirky , hyper & enlightened spirit !!! We’d be the best of friends if we met 🥰
Love Papermate Ink Joy. Fun idea!!
Could you write down the names of each label on your pens?
Great idea!!! 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you , you are so encouraging 👍
Thanks for your teachings I love them all. I am able to understand love your coding system.
Diane that makes my heart happy that you are learning from them!! All glory goes to God!!
Sorry to say this it was so much fun you get to do it all over again because unfortunately it comes off it doesn't stay. I learned my lesson with that
This is a great system! Thank you for sharing!!

Like the color coding. Still have been unable to print off the Ephesians Study. So I guess I'll continue writing everything out by hand.

The Rain Bow Bible has similar color marked keys and the writing that tells you what each color represents.
Awesome! I was wondering if you could focus closer to see your Bible?
I haven't found a color code that works for me because like you said I was more focused on the colors than the Word🥺
Buuuut I have been known for using washi as a bandaid😆
Blessings from Spain!💕
it makes a great bandaid in a pinch!! I love my washi tapes!! So happy you are here!!💕
If we could see closer it would help so much to see how you used your color outlined your Bible.
you are amazing! thank you for sharing !
Brilliant sister
tysm! you have really helped me! 💗
Thank you iv been looking for someone to do this, it is very helpful
So happy it was helpful for you Laura!! ♥️
I like your 10 P's! My system is pretty simple - I use green for places, blue for people, symbols for God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, joy, prayer, and love; then I vary the other colors for different themes depending on the book.
Mr. Pen has Awesome highlighters and pens made for Bibles, they dont bleed through or smear nor have any harsh chemicals. They're also pretty cheap.
Love the washi tape bandage!
Finally! A color code that makes sense. I will add GREEN for [Money] I will review this vid often until I can get it down. I am happy.
I have ADHD so I get side-tracked and overwhelmed easily so this was the only way I could even wrap my mind around using a symbol color-code system :)
Please do a snapshot of your color code sheet so we can see it up close! My color code scheme, well, isn't one. In my church bible study I'm using a journal. Whatever color comes to mind is the one I use. So learning a system might be kinda good!
Jodi I’m gonna make a color code sheet and also do a slower video where I actually do a passage so you can see!!
this is genius! thank you
Thanks for watching Nellah!! There is a free printable that goes with this on my website ❤️ go check it out!
I am also have visual learner as well.
Do you put Prophecy in promise or plan? (I'm tempted to call it another "P".)
hi, are your bible study courses still available?
Some are on my website under classes and printables. ❣️❣️❣️
Do you know the font size of the pretty cloth Bible you’re highlighting in?
I don't. I'm sorry. I think it is listed on my website though at www.crazysimpletruth.com/nickispicks
💕💕💕
I will try it. Thanks
There is a free printable on my website with the color codes 💝 link in the description
My Bible has its own color code system so I just use that.
Oh that's kinda neat!
What bible is it?
It's a Bible from Walmart that I got back in April.
God-bless you I've been watching your videos and I haven't seen a Video On Bible journaline for disability people or a Bible journaling for legally blind people people I just got a Bible journeying But the letters are too small I love your videos but if you could try to make something for my condition it'll be great

I LOVE to have my hands physically on a book!! However, I do use the Youversion App a lot to compare, just not to highlight ❤️
