Sorry about the quality but Lizzie is my favourite queen in the series so far. I love her relationship with Henry and historically it is said that they did grow to love each other but I'm not sure if it is the same as in the show.

Fun fact, she could claim the throne for herself, she was the next in line to be the queen, since her brothers were dead.
She shouldn’t have killed her husband and ruled like her granddaughter Queen Elizabeth

He had to much of his grandfather, Edward IV, in him
Her mother was the first York Queen and she the last.
She was a Tudor Queen as Queen Consorts are the line of their husband's. Henry VII was a Tudor as was his wife and children.
Her mother Elizabeth Woodville was not the last York Queen as her husband's successor, Richard III (his younger brother) was a York King so his wife, Anne Neville was a York Queen. Since she predeceased Richard III, she was the last York Queen as the next Queen Consort was Lizzie York, but Lizzie was a Tudor.

In terms of History I really do believe that Henry loved Elizabeth the mourning period and funeral he gave her cost crown loads and he mourned longer than any long before him and never remarried despite still being young enough and pressured by his council to do so.

Gregory portrays Elizabeth and Henry's relationship as rather toxic but in reality it was a very a happy marriage. He never took a mistress and when she died he took it very hard and refused to leave his room.

Also Elizabeth and Henry's marriage were probably one of few really happy marriages even though they struggled at first they fell deeply in love over the years and Henry unlike Elizabeth father never took a mistress

I beg to differ. Edward was known as a manwhore & even his mistresses are written in history. Plus Elizabeth Woodville lost 2 of her sons & till this day it is unknown what really happened to them. Murdered? Who knows? Henry & Elizabeth of York love for one another is written by historians. It is believed that their their son, Henry the 8th went through many wives to find love even remotely similar to what his parents had. It is even said, Elizabeth of York’s death caused immense pain that Henry literally lost himself & never left his room. Some say he died of a broken heart. Yes Elizabeth of York died young, but she died being loved by her soulmate till the end of his days. She’s also grandmother to some if not the biggest monarchs ever written in history. Queen Elizabeth the first & Mary, Queen of Scots. Plus the royal family today are blood related to Elizabeth of York.

I watched twp first and fell in love with lizzie/henry's enemies to lovers trope oops, the actor who played him in tsp was such a good casting. Ended up watching twq and tsp so completely watched the series backwards, but it was soo good, thoroughly enjoyed it. thank you for this wonderful tribute, lizzie is def my fav character as well.

Fabulous actress! Full of emotion and passion. Loved all of these series. The White Queen, The White Princess and The Spanish Princess. All the leads were so good but also Amanda Hale as Margaret Beaufort in the White Queen, she was excellent too! 😊

I fell into that trap myself and I am so glad to be out of it.

Their personal relationship is speculative much like any couples. We don't know exactly how they were with each other so one must speculate and when one must speculate I usually like to give the benefit of the doubt and not vilify them.
Hahaha me too, I mean one would've thought okay let me watch those TV drama cuz why not it will give an introduction and resumé about those Royals history, just curious to know more, then I know and read about Mary Queen of Scotland as she was married to French Prince, again an alliance through marriage, while the Dauphin is a still younger than her. Have watched those movies , Haha pretty fairy tale but so innacurate, it's show business but when they rewrite History like that it's not very nice, almost irritating if one knows the real facts. You can fall for it but it's called entertainment business! 👏👏😁
Not everyone is as dumb. I'm a historian and of course these dramas are inaccurate. It's not a documentary, it's a drama and it was beautifully done. Plus it had disclaimers.

I'd advice the viewers to read Philippa Gregory's White Queen, White Princess and Red Queen to understand the complexity of the situation/ relationship among the various parties involved. The series looks like a simplified romance rather than stories about some awesome women and their lives of that era.

They are good books but alot is not historically correct.

Tudors did a lot for future of England and consequently United Kingdom.They got rid of that devils sect based in Rome,won wars which will later put them as strongest Empire in Europe,they started unification of other states under Elisabeth.Yes they were not of noble blood and took throne by force some might think but it was Won war of Roses that gave them the power.

TV shows and Movies are not the place to look if you want to learn actual history. Need switch off the historian part of the brain and just enjoy a fictional story set in a certain time period. She was never a "York" queen. She was the first Tudor queen consort. Just like Netflix's The King and The Last Kingdom to name but a few, enjoy them for what they are, (highly) fictionalized entertainment.

The conflict between Mary of Scots and Elizabeth I. had very little to do with the War of Roses and Elizabeth of York. So that's not correct.
Hani that’s a different war you are thinking of. The cousins war was the war of the roses between house Lancaster and house York. The war did end with them because they united the two houses and created the Tudor dynasty.
@Hani the so called cousins war, was the war of roses, which was fought by the houses york and lancaster (which also inclued tudor) during the 15th century. the war ended as york (edward vi) won against the lancaster (margaret of anjou). a few years later edward passed away and his son should actually have succeeded him, but he was murdered mysteriously (some say it was his own uncle richard who killed him) and richard became king. henry tudor won against richard during the battle of bosworth (which marked the win of house lancaster against york) and edward's oldest daughter elizabeth married henry to settle peace in the country.
mary and elizabeth i. are related too. mary's grandmother was elizabeth's aunt. the conflict between england and scotland started many years earlier and was ended by mary stuart's son james, who became heir to the virgin queen elizabeth and later ruled both scotland and england until 1625.
those wars/conflicts don't have to do much with each other as i said.

It was her mother who made her marry The tudor king. When she became the queen, her mother is telling her to betray her husband (when both of them are in love) for the brother
She was literally a puppet and then some people hate on her and not her mother who made this whole thing.
In real life did Henry and Elizabeth had premarital sex? If I remember correctly Elizabeth gave birth after eight months of their marriage or the baby is premature?
Since medical science was not perfect it is hard to prove her oldest, Arthur, was premature or she was pregnant prior to marriage. Either way it was moot as Arthur died childless at 15, so Henry, who was born 5 years later ended up King.

It is said that Henry VII was very attractive in his younger years. Tall, handsome and fit. But later on he became extremely obese and his ugly personality ruined him
@@danamab ....Henry VIII was supposedly very handsome, yes he was tall over 6ft. Very physically well built is what ive read but you never see a pic of him then. His horrible behavior is a result of a pretty bad head injury from a jousting match and his enormous weight gain may have been from diabetes. All of this ive read in different books about him. No, they are coming out with “Spanish Princess”.
It was only for a set number of episodes as it ended in 1499 and the Spanish Princess starts in 1501. The Spanish Princess ends with Henry VIII marriage to Catherine of Aragon and his accession to the throne, both were within a short time of each other.

Only I hated the way Lizzie chanched? I loved her at the beginning but I can't believe that she fell in love with Hanry, who raped her and killed her lover. She went through such a horrible things beacause of him. He was cruel to her and to her mother. And the kings mother was awefull too, I just hated them. Lizzie became just like her mather in law. I whised that she didn't kill Teddy and his own brother. It would have been so good to see Richard be the king and Lizzie whitout that monsters. I understand that she had to be on her husbands side, beacause of her kids but she shouldn't had to murder her brother.

Yees I was so angry that almost everyone loved her with that Tudor shit. I loved Richard soooo much in the show, he was a true king, not like Hanry (who hide behind his mother..) Historically Elizabeth cared nothing for Richard (aka *her uncle* who stole her claim to the throne and murdered her brothers) and Henry was a very good husband to her. Margaret Beaufort was also known to be very pious and charitable with nothing but fondness for her daughter-in-law.

Neither were York Queens and Jane was never recognized by the Council. If you want to get technical, Elizabeth I's successor King James I was the great-great grandson of Elizabeth York, so he was a York too by your logic. And since every monarch after him, was a direct descendant of him, they are too.
Elizabeth I and Lady Jane Grey were both queens of the Tudor line. Both were descended from Henry VII. As for Jane Grey, she's known as the nine day queen. Apparently she was Edward VI's heir.

The way henry ruled and behaved proved he was not a true royal blood. Maybe if his mother wasn't around him he would do better.
Historically Henry did rely on Margaret's advice but he wasn't a puppet. The real Margaret Beaufort was nothing like how Phillipa Gregory depicts her.
